The Hurst Haus, un hogar lejos de casa!

1720 pies cuadrados. de comodidad, con chimenea, televisor de pantalla grande en la sala de estar, sofá y sillones reclinables para descansar y relajarse después de un largo viaje o un arduo día de trabajo.

La entrada tiene un gran armario, ideal para guardar maletas y maletines, además de abrigos y artículos exteriores.

La cocina está equipada con nevera, microondas, lavavajillas, estufa y horno. Ollas, sartenes, platos, utensilios de cocina y cubiertos están disponibles para la preparación de comidas y la mesa del comedor se sentará a 6 personas cómodamente.

La suite King de arriba tiene un televisor de pantalla plana, 2 portaequipajes, una cómoda, una mesita de noche y un despertador. También cuenta con un baño privado completo y un amplio vestidor.

La oficina de arriba tiene un escritorio, una silla de oficina, una lámpara e incluye una mesa para dos sillas para planificar o simplemente jugar a un juego de cartas.

La Suite Queen está ubicada en el nivel principal con una cama Queen size, TV de pantalla plana, portaequipajes, cómoda, mesita de noche y un gran armario.

La lavadora y la secadora están metidas cuidadosamente en un armario de lavandería y están ubicadas discretamente en la parte posterior de la cocina.

El patio trasero tiene una pequeña mesa de bistró y dos sillas y un columpio para sentarse y relajarse en el clima siempre cambiante de Amarillo.

My daughter and I were in town for a convention, we really liked the neighborhood, it was peaceful and quiet, the house was spacious and clean, just what we needed. Everything was at close proximity, nothing was to far and the host was readily available, making sure eveything was good for our stay, defenitely recommend and would stay here again, thnx for the experience!!

A Perfect Getaway

What a beautiful townhome, tastefully decorated and more than comfortable. Located in a quiet neighborhood and close to everything we wanted to visit. We certainly would stay here again and highly recommend to anyone wanting to experience Amarillo and its surrounding areas.

This property was really nice! Host provided everything we might need for our stay! Very clean, perfect location for our family, appliances, even coffee for the Keurig! Thanks for making our 1st stay in this type of property the most comfortable and relaxing we could have asked for!

Wonderfully Quiet

We enjoyed our stay, the entire place is like a home away from home. The beds were so comfy I missed over half a family function we were in Amarillo to attend. I got some much needed rest, the neighborhood is quiet so it came easy. I will stay here again next time. Highly recommend.

Palo Duro visit

We enjoyed our stay in the home which is nicely decorated and equipped. The owner quickly remedied a small appliance malfunction. The beds were comfortable. Would return if in area again.

We truly feel like we are coming home when we visit Hurst House. These host seriously know how to host. They go above and beyond and the house is completely stocked. COMPLETELY. The furniture is super comfy and we simply love this place. Looking forward to our fourth annual visit next year. I

Short Stay, Okay

We didn't arrive to the property until after 10pm and perhaps there was a fight of some kind across the street. The moment we arrived, we could hear people shouting at each other and doors being slammed. We hurried inside unsure of the neighborhood. Again, it was dark when we arrived so that could have played into our hesitation. The place was clean but had a lot of bugs in the upstairs bathroom. We never used the showers/tubs, the washer or dryer or other amenities because this was a stop over and we left early in the morning.

Guest was caught brining extra people to stay the night in our hime . Never a mention of issues with bugs prior to this posting , nor have we ever had a complaint. We have multiple reviews about the quiet neighborhood and many return guests due to feeling safe .

Mostly great

I have stayed at over 50 VRBO locations and their European equivalent. I have never had a ‘host’ be so rude or so many hairs and cleaning issues as this property. The house is very nice, but definitely not a “10”. It was listed as a 2-bedroom, 2-bath; however, the second bedroom was locked upon our arrival. Cleanliness: so many hairs in the bedding that I washed the sheets prior to sleeping on them. We arrived about 9:30pm expecting a clean house. Hair in the refrigerator (owner stated it was hers but it was short, black, and curly). The two sponges left on the kitchen sink were worse than I would use for floors. Owner: “I used those to wipe off the counter. My bad for leaving them.” The tub in both bathrooms needing cleaning…not just a wipe-down. I went to Walmart and bought sponges and cleaning supplies. I scrubbed most of the rust and grime from the en-suite bathroom. I finally went to bed about 1:30. No apology from Bonnie, the owner. In fact, she stated “If you are that dissatisfied, we would be happy if you went ahead and left”. The ceiling fans had years of dust. These would have been nice since the single air conditioner doesn’t regulate the two-story dwelling very well. Excuse: they are too high, especially the one in the living room. Facial hair clippings were also in the vanity mirror tracking. I sent the owner a message the first night and she responded three days later.

I responded the next day after I saw his demands for a free night . Never going to please this guy . Refrigerator was cleaned , must love to exaggerate with the hair . I know it was clean because I cleaned it myself . Ceiling fans are the only thing that I agree with . He is complaining about a 16 ft high ceiling dan. Cleaning sponges are for cleaning and if they were used and worn it just proof they were used to clean . This guest will never be satisfied and we offered a refund if our home was so unsatisfactory to him and he refused to leave. It also states you have a choice of rooms and had he asked he would have been given access. Sheets were washed and clean . Never again for this guy!

Christmas Stay

We stayed here while visiting our daughter and her family for Christmas. The check in process was efficient. We felt at home as soon as we entered. The house has everything that we needed. Kitchen items are plentiful and logically stored. The remotes for TV’s were visible. We are looking forwarding to staying here again when we visit our daughter.

Great space!

We enjoyed our stay over the Thanksgiving holiday in this townhome. Very homey feeling! There were a few issues we encountered, but spoke directly with the owner and she is having them fixed. Though we did not spend the bulk of our time in the home, we enjoyed our early mornings and late evenings and slept very well. For the holiday cooking, the kitchen could be stocked better in the utensil and baking department, but we had already anticipated and brought many of our own bakeware and cooking/baking items, just in case. So glad we did! We definitely plan to stay here again. It is in a great location for our needs. Owner is lovely to work with!

Feels Like Home

We love this property. We cook all of our meals and this kitchen is fully equipped. The furnishings are comfy and the location is perfect for where we need to be. This was our second visit and we hope we never have to find another on our annual visits to Amarillo.

The property was very clean and in a great location. There are nearby places to eat and stores. The neighborhood is quiet and nice. The host was friendly and very helpful. Overall, a fantastic place to stay! I highly recommend!

Not quite right for me

Turns out we had to pay extra if we took the description at face value, which upset me for several reasons. The place was very well decorated. Often visited, looked like most had a good stay.
