You've always wanted that perfect place in the country -- here it is! Quarry Hill Farm is secluded, surrounded by natural beauty. Close to the cultural benefits of Bennington and Williamstown, if you want to explore. Or you can stay at the farm, take walks, cook local foods, have space and time to relax, read, have great conversation. From Quarry Hill Farm you can explore the region , take in nature and spend time with your guests in privacy.

There are many rooms in this house. The Family Room is spacious and includes the kitchen, opens on the patio. The Living Room is the original 1790 cabin. The Dining Room is being fitted as a conference room for groups to come up with ideas that bring positivity to everyone. The bedrooms are comfortable, almost all with ensuite bathrooms for everyone's comfort. Views will thrill you from every window. You will feel surrounded by the natural environment, but close to the culture of the Berkshires and Bennington.

Great Wifi! Be as connected as you wish. A great library of books -- Sally's mother was an historian and collector. Hiking and walking all around, as well as farm animals and farm neighbors. The whole house is yours to enjoy as your country home away from home. We want you to connect with Nature, revive, regenerate, restore.

Our manager, Jenny, will greet you upon arrival and show you around the house. She is available for you during your stay to help and answer any questions you have.

This is an old farmhouse, so you may find quirks. Enjoy the legacies of the past, take time to be surrounded by natural life.

All of the bedrooms are named after members of owner Sally's family as she was growing up in the house. Photos and stories greet our guests in the individual guest books in each bedroom.

No events over and above the people staying in the house.

The pricing is based on 8 guests. The additional guest fees are $45/guest/night after the first 8 people.

Amazing comfortable warm

Lovely house, rambling old farmhouse vibe with lots of space for entertaining and gathering. Many beds and bedrooms. We had a celebration event, and the caterer had lots of room to prep and we had lots of room to serve and eat. The property is serene, with hills and cows and trees. It was a delight to collaborate with Quarry Hill on assembling wonderful extras for our event. Guests from 11-89 enjoyed the space immensely. Thank you!

Cozy, Spacious Home!

We had a large group of 16 (and two dogs) at this home for 2 nights. There was plenty of room for all, and we loved the charm of the home! Jenny was amazing and immensely helpful throughout the whole process!

Beautiful Views and Historic Charm

Our family loved spending Thanksgiving at Quarry Hill Farm. We loved looking out the picture window on to the cows in the pasture, playing games by the gas fire, cooking in the well stocked kitchen, dining at the large table, using all three of the largish hangout spaces, reading in the comfy chairs, taking walks along the dirt road right out the door. It was a great house for a large family gathering with room enough for readers, gamers, and talkers.

Beautiful pastoral setting!

We had a wonderful weekend at Quarry Hill Farm. The farmhouse was wonderful amd rustic, it felt historic, warm and cozy and the setting was beautiful. It was plenty big for our group of 8 guys. We enjoyed hearing the cows lowing by the pond at breakfast. The area is so dark at night that the stars were amazing. Our host Jenny was warm, super friendly and very helpful. At her suggestion we walked up the road and bought yogurt from the neighboring farm, which was delicious. We would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful house but it needs a little TLC

The Twelve adults in our family had a great time . The house easily accommodated all of us with room to spare. Kitchen well stocked with cooking supplies. Beautiful views from all of the windows. Lovely spot What a nice surprise to find a crib for our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter. Weā€™ll have fond memories of our time in Pownal

Fantastic time at the farm!

We all loved it here. Great size for 8-9 adults and could have fit more. Enjoyed hiking in the area and using the bonfire and grill out back. Lots of rooms for different spots to hang out. Kitchen super well stocked for large group. Great place!

Amazing Rustic Getaway

Thanksgiving 2023

Quarry Hill is what Thanksgiving looks like!!! We had 12 family members and we all had beds and the table easily accomodated all! The views are breathtaking . You'll enjoy it!!

Fall Foliage Getaway

Grace in the storm

In true "can do" fashion Jenny didn't let a little thing like a massive storm with downed trees, and power outages stand in the way of our visit. She provided us with alternative housing that allowed us to stay together, and focus on the wedding we were there to attend. Jenny is the very model of a modern major general!

Great location in a unique house

Such a unique old sprawling farmhouse! Lots of room, and one of the most amazing views! Pretty much everything you need is in the house, it's just a bit hard to find since there's so much space. The area is great with so much to do. Jenny, the on site coordinator, will greet you and give you lots of insider tips of what to do. She is super easy to communicate with. The oven and the grill were unfortunately not working properly when we were there, which was a little tricky. We didn't reach out to Jenny at the time as we found other ways to make dinner happen. Keep in mind that there is no air conditioning in the house, so if it's hot out (like it was this weekend) you will just be hot. There are quite a few fans in the house which helped some. Over all we enjoyed this spot for our cousin reunion trip!

Perfect early summer weekend in Vermont!

Our extended family of 15 had a wonderful weekend at Quarry Hill Farm, celebrating two milestone birthdays. Everything was wonderful ā€” easy checkin and checkout, the comfortable old farmhouse, gorgeous views from the patio (and many of the rooms!), a nice long walk on mostly dirt roads with few cars, a spacious kitchen that made it easy to prepare food for 15, clear instructions about garbage, recycling and the like, crisp linens and comfy beds, and several unique spaces that made it easy for groups of us to visit together, play board games, etc! In 15 minutes we were at the Clark Institute for a fabulous art exhibit, and MASSMoCA isnā€™t much further. Several times, people in our party commented in what an ideal space and location it was for us to gather. Although it was humid and rainy on Saturday, it cleared just enough for us to see the stunning cloud formation over the valley and pond from the patio, also the loveliest spot for a peaceful cup of coffee in the morning. Quirky Farmhouse

The kids had a blast exploring all the secret rooms in this property. The beds were very comfortable, and we all slept well. More pots and pans for cooking would have been helpful.

Wonderful graduation weekend

We had a wonderful stay at this adorable farm house. The views were incredible and the house had all we needed to celebrate a wonderful graduation. Jenny was incredible responsive and helpful, even running over to turn off the coffee pot when we forgot. Enjoy a trip in history..

Comfortable place for a large group

We had a great weekend at Quarry Hill Farm. The house itself is large with beautiful views of the surrounding land. The beds were comfortable with clean linens. The common areas are a bit "lived in" but we didn't mind because it allowed us to feel relaxed with our kids and dog running around. We had a great, casual weekend with a large group

Christmas with family

We booked for Christmas with our family of 15. The house was perfect for usā€¦great layout, cozy, plenty of spaces to gather, and even a little hill out back where the kids could sled. Unfortunately we had to leave a couple days early due to issues with septic and heat. Jenny was a true gem ā€¦ very responsive and helpful. She even managed to find us a nearby property so we could complete the last 2 days of our time together. She went above and beyond. It is a very old house, and things can go wrong that are not in anyoneā€™s control. That said, I would definitely book there again. We loved the house!
