Sobre esta propriedade
Luxury self-catering accommodation in the heart of Overberg, South Africa
Pronounced as Fè-litch-ita, this Italian word means happiness, satisfaction and bliss. The name says it all of this beautiful piece of heaven on earth. This 100-hectare property boasts untouched fynbos, wildlife and seclusion from the hustle & bustle of everyday life.
This Tuscan styled six-suite home is made up and furnished for luxury and maximum comfort. Each bedroom has its own spectacular view. Three of the six double suites are on the ground level with easy access to the full bath & shower shared-bathroom. The other three double suites are upstairs with easy access to two spacious shower & toilet shared-bathrooms.
The fully equipped, spacious kitchen is ideal to prepare your meals if a traditional “braai” is not on the menu. The wood-fired pizza oven is also great for some adventurous cooking. You can dine at the rustic wooden table or outside on the terrace where you can continue to enjoy the magnificent mountain vistas.
Comfy couches and a TV is perfectly positioned in the main hall in front of the medieval fireplace. This is a great space to relax in, enjoy your favourite entertainment or just watching the flames from the fire on the cooler nights.
And for those amazing summer days, the pool is the place to be, soaking up the sun, taking in the view and fully relaxing.

Sobre o anfitrião

After purchasing the land on which Felicita’s homes stand, construction work started in March 2007. It was a gruelling project to build in the middle of nowhere with no water or electrical supply, but with some innovation and patience, the construction of Dimora (Manor House), the Villa and the farm store continued.
150 cubic meters of concrete, over 100,000 bricks, 40 tonnes of timber beams, 40 tonnes of floor tiles and 50 tonnes of roof tiles went into the building that is now known as Dimora (Manor House).
Each of the timber beams was individually named to make sure that they were placed in their rightful positions. Bless the contractors who took on the death-defying hoisting manoeuvres to get the main beams of the roof into position, eight meters off the ground, by hand.
During the construction, it was a very clear decision to go green and make the whole farm self-sustainable and energy sufficient. Solar systems, gas and backup generators were installed and the local water sources used.
The structures were completed towards the end of 2007 and by September 2008 the finishing touches were added. Material from all over South Africa was used to complete the designs.
Dimora became our tranquil family home with a lifestyle that only some people can dream of. The Villa was promoted as a self-catering holiday home since the start and has hosted many happy guests over the years.
We hosted our very dear friends, Karl & Santie’s medieval wedding in the main hall of Dimora amongst other private functions for friends and family. They are still spoken about today and remembered by all. The idea of sharing our beautiful space and having people experience the tranquillity of Felicita is what creates our happiness.
