Quaint Victor Idaho is just 3 miles away providing groceries, dining, bars and live music on any given night of the week. The Windigo Lodge is a beautifully appointed 2 bedroom (one loft style bedroom), 2 bath home that can comfortably sleep 6 to 8 people. Take a wildlife walk a hundred yards behind the property or launch off on an epic hike into the Targhee National Forest right from the doorstep. Jackson Hole and the entrance of Grand Teton National Park are about 30 minutes away with the entrance to Yellowstone less than a 2 hour drive. On winter mornings call the snow report and choose between the endless steeps and glades of Jackson Hole or the champagne powder of Grand Targhee. Property was perfect for skiing Jackson hole and Targhee
The property is just out of town which was a beautiful setting. Yet, close enough for the quick trip into town for supplies. Cooked all meals there and the the kitchen was perfectly stocked and had everything we needed. Beds were all comfortable and the living room was a nice size for a small group (8 might get a little tight especially with kids). The hot tub was a must after skiing hard everyday. I would like to stay in the summer as the fishing decor made me think of the the incredible fishing so close the the location. Only issue I can see was the driveway has a bit of a grade to it and, had we not had 4 wheel drive, getting to the house might have been a problem on the icy driveway. Otherwise hope to return again!
THIS CABIN WAS PERFECT FOR OUR PARTY OF 4. WE BACKCOUNTRY SKIED THE PASS 5 DAYS STRAIGHT. SOO CLOSE, GREAT CABIN FEEL, GREAT KITCHEN AND HOT TUB!
Pleasant stay off the beaten path
Cute cabin, comfortable accommodations, beautiful location. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Beautiful Quiet Retreat
We just spent two days in this beautiful lodge and enjoyed every minute. We had two couples staying and we each had a private bedroom and bath. The great room area was perfect for lounging around and discussing the days travels. The lodge is just as it is described and has everything you need. The hot tub was relaxing after days spent touring the surrounding area!! It is located a few miles out of town and is very peaceful.
The town of Victor is very convenient with groceries, restaurants, bars and shops. It took us about 20 minutes to get into Jackson, WY thru the Teton Pass.
Would definitely recommend this lodge!
Beautiful environment, well supplied. I would strongly. Recommend this vacation home.
Warm, user friendly, pleasant place to stay, well worth the cost, mattresses a bit too soft, otherwise no other complaints. Sorry we didn't get to use this home one night due to delayed/cancelled/rescheduled flight by American airlines.
beautiful cabin, beautiful area
This cabin is clean, well equipped, & convenient to cute downtown Victor, ID. It was a luxury to have TV & Wi-Fi! Without A/C or opening windows, we struggled during 90-degree days, but fans helped.
We recommend dinners at The Knotty Pine in Victor & Teton Thai in Driggs, ID. We hiked to the Darby Canyon Wind Cave (& got engaged at the base of it's waterfall!) There is also a fun mountain biking/ running trail only 1 mile down the road. The trek up & down the Teton Pass to Grand Teton NP was somewhat daunting, but the landscapes are gorgeous everywhere!
