Great Place

Great place for solo or couple travelers. Clean, clean, clean! located far enough from town to be relatively quiet, yet close enough to be convenient. Remember your house shoes this is a no shoes place as I’ve found common in Ketchikan. Would stay here again!

Nice getaway out of town

Excellent hosts! Needed in a little early due to flights and the host was a great help. The basis bus route is right there so travel into Ketchikan was not difficult. Nice place for just the two of us!

This was a perfect location for us to stay on our honeymoon. The appartment was clean and beautiful! Had everything we needed for our stay. I would have to say the BEST part was walking the beach every low tide and looking at the nature that would be on shore, or close by in the water. We saw multiple jelly fish, and easily could say hundreds of starfish. You might even get lucky to see a seal like we did! Thank you again Jason and Shelly! ❤️

Perfect for a Pair

We were attending a family event in Ketchikan in April. This property is about 5 miles north of town. It's a small apartment on the parking lot side and lower level of the owner's home. The apartment is relatively new, with a full size oven and stove, plenty of kitchen items such as pots, pans, baking sheets, bowls, various utensils and basics such as spices and condiments. It has a smaller refrigerator and a separate smaller freezer. Comfortable seating with a couch and a chair is in the living area, and folding TV trays provide optional table space if needed. A bar with barstools separate the kitchen and the living area.TVs are in the front room and the bedroom.The bedroom and bathroom are separated from the kitchen and living areas by a door. The bedroom has a very comfortable bed, bedside tables with lamps, a smaller closet with hangers, and a desk. The bathroom is equipped with a shower.The owner/host is friendly and very responsive. The owner's family is a long-time Ketchikan family, and has recommendations and experiences to share upon request!We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with this host and on this property. I hope it will be available the next time we go up to visit family. It's a great location right by the water and a marina, and not too far from beaches.

We had an excellent stay for just two nights. Arrived in the dark and owner popped out to say hi. Very gracious. The place feels new and was spotless. Kitchen was very complete.

Great Location

Clean, cozy, and great location. Make sure to look at the docks off to the left of the boat dock! We saw seals! Cabin was small and cozy, but had everything we needed.

My third time at this lovely location; 5 star all around!

It's such a convenient (to town) location but also super nice. This time, there was a ton of amenities in the kitchen, from cooking oils, coffee grounds, seasonings and way more. The hosts are very gracious. If I have a concern (bears and garbage are one) they help me out, which I very much appreciate.I'll be back the end of January (barring bad weather) to visit with my family. I'll be looking forward to my 'get' away ...from work and stress, plus seeing my mom, sister and brother plus their awesome families!

Perfect for our needs

In town for a family wedding and had a great visit. The apartment met our needs well. Jason happened by early in our stay and offered to bring more blankets, towels, or whatever else we needed. Overall a very good experience!

Cozy place, very convenient to North Shore fishing!

This was a perfect place for my teenage daughter and I to stay during our week-long fishing trip. It is far enough out of Ketchikan to avoid the cruise-ship mobs, but is very close and convenient to Cedar Grove, Knudsen, the Lighthouse mini grocery store, and Walmart. It is also a short drive to Ward Lake and the north shore parks and coves. The apartment is on a quiet little street, and Jason went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The blow-up mattress was a nice quality big model, so my daughter slept well after a day battling salmon. Finally, this is a truly-detached unit, which was very welcome. Highly recommended!

Great stay in Ketchikan

We use VRBO and Air B&B almost exclusively anymore and this place was one of the best if not best places we stayed. The place was immaculately clean and had all the things we needed. We had great rapport with the owners. We particularly liked being right on the water in a cove. The owners live on site and are careful to be honest that sound does radiate from their home to the apartment. It was true but never a problem for us. We appreciate the truthfulness - that tells you a lot about the people you’re working with. Checkin was great. Especially appreciated the screen / display that had information about things to do in the area, the weather, and property information. The place is about 5 minutes from town which we prefer. Town is crowded and full of tourists during cruise season.
