The Dakota is a brand-new, modern, four-season log-sided cabin on Lake Algonquin, in the southern Adirondack mountains. In the spring, summer and fall, enjoy canoeing, kayaking, rowing and fishing right from the property, using our rowboat, canoe and kayaks - or just sit back and enjoy the wilderness that is the North Country. It's a short walk or drive to the town beach, where you can swim or soak up the sun. Or, explore the many hiking trails in the area leading up mountains, to waterfalls, or into the solitude of the forest. In the fall, the leaves are spectacular! In the winter, enjoy snowmobiling, skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, tubing and ice skating. Behind the cabin is a large flat area for activities and a fire pit for s'mores and relaxing in the evening. On a clear night, the stars are amazing!
