This lake front cottage is a step back in time. Crooked floors and ceilings only add to the charm. A simple clean way to watch the sun set at scenic Lake Beseck. Cast your line or go for a swim at the end of a sleepy summer day. The best way to get away from it all for some well deserved peace and quiet. Locally you can enjoy a round of golf at Indian Springs or Lyman's golf course . Pick your own fruit at Lyman Orchards. You can spend the day being adventurous at Powder Ridge Mountain Park & Resort. Have summer fun Zip Lining, disc golf, tubing, or mountain biking.

Peaceful Place

Coming from Florida everything was simple and reserved easily even extended my stay with no problems. Upon arrival the coffee machine was replaced quickly and additional pans were delivered promptly. They even purchased a new grill and setup a few more lawn recliners. Cottage was clean and cozy with a great view of the lake to wake up to and a beautiful sunset to watch from the deck!

Wonderful getaway!

Wr enjoyed our stay over july 4th tremendously. The cottage is so cute and cozy. The deck and dock were much enjoyed! We kayaked, fished, and watched a fireworks show on the lake. We will be back!

The cabin is very clean! Owner was responsive. Check in was easy and description accurate. Sunsets on the lake are beautiful. We had a wonderful time on our relatively local getaway!

Nice cabin on the lake

Clean and peaceful cabin on a lake. Had it’s own dock so ideal for canoeing and swimming. Saw alot of fishing going on also on the lake. Location is close to restaurants, Lyman Orchards and a nice winery Roseblanca Vineyards. We also attended the Durham fair 2 miles away which had alot to do and events to attend.

A 5 star lakefront cottage

We had a wonderful short weekend at this lovely cottage. We enjoyed both the sunrise and sunset on the back deck overlooking the lake and also took full advantage of fishing off of the dock while we were there! The cottage is perfectly located near both shopping and restaurants, there is plenty of both in the area to choose from. It made for a perfect weekend getaway and we highly recommend this place for anyone looking to getaway for a lakefront weekend.

CUTE AND QUAINT

THIS WAS JUST PERFECT FOR OUR WEEKEND GET-A-WAY. LITTLE RED COTTAGE IT IS, WITH SHORT CEILINGS AND OPEN CONCERPT FEEL. ALL THE NATURAL LIGHT WAS NICE TOO AS MUCH AS MY EYES CAN BE SENSITIVE IT WAS NICE TO USE THAT THAN LIGHTS.

It was a lovely property, very quiet and quaint. I had an issue with the toilet and shower on the second day and I called and left a message with the Manager and within an hour I was contacted by the maintenance person. He followed up with a text that everything was good, and it was.

Nice weekend getaway

The property was exactly as the photos and description shows. This place is all about the location. Steps from a gorgeous and peaceful lake. The house is not fancy but cute and clean. It Has what you need. As someone else said the shower is a bit small and “short” I am 5 ft 11 and had only a couple inches of head room but Its far from a deal breaker. Overall. Loved the property and experience.

Fabulous!

We loved everything about this property, the location, furnishings, the bed, even the towels! The only thing we had a problem with was the tv. We do not subscribe to any streaming service and therefore we were unable to watch tv as we know it. There was enough to do in the area that it wasn’t a terribly huge issue.

Toilet too short, Oth headroom and height.Suggest handgrips near toilet to get up and on threshold to bedroom.Maybe the white cottage would be better for tall 80 plus gusts.

Slanted floors and coffee maker

While we had an absolutely wonderful time, the floors being “slightly tilted” was an understatement. The kitchen was at least 6” off center as was the bedroom. Wow!! Being one who has a bit of vertigo, it was a bit problematic. Also, having a hot cup of coffee in the morning on the deck of a lake house is a dream. Not the case here. Upgrade to a normal coffee maker that makes at least two cups at a time would make for a much more pleasant experience. Took a while to make just one cup let a lone two. As a side note: perhaps a full sized bathroom door?
