It was okay

While the house was listed as sleeping six, there were only enough linens, silverware, and dishes for four. Also, the shower only gives hot or cold water, nothing in between. The location is awesome, but that's really the only truly positive thing.

The house was clean well but there was a strong bad odor

The house faces the highway and a pub. Saturday the pub had a big party til late. The windows are not very sound proof and because of the bad odor we had to keep them open. Too expensive for the service received.

Want to find a USED CONDOM like we did? Then book this property!!

We checked in on Nov 13, 2020 for what was going to be a relaxing fun time fishing in Bodega Bay but a USED CONDOM RUINED THAT. As you open the front door to this dump the first thing you notice is the carpet in the family room. It is covered in stains. I like to take my shoes off when entering houses but one glance at that carpet and I left them on. The family room had a large sofa, love seat, and futon. Unfortunately there in the sofa was a used condom that we discovered later that nite. To think i actually sat on that sofa while that was in there. I still feel disgusted. On the large wall opposite the goodwill furniture is one small tv about 30 inches. To the left of the family room is a small area with a table and 4 chairs and then the kitchen. Most of the drawers and cupboards are bare. As in hardly any type of kitchenware. Basically a few plates, few mugs, and a few glasses. One drawer held a few sharp knifes and another drawer held extremely old miscellaneous kitchen utensils. The bathroom was nothing special a shower/tub with a shower curtain. Needless to say after finding a used condom we wondered if the bathroom had even been cleaned prior to our arrival or was that overlooked as well. There are 2 bedrooms. 1 with a double and single bed. 1 with 2 single beds. The beds are comprised of the cheapest mattresses you can buy. As in you could feel every spring in them. There was a sheet and one thin blanket on each bed. A goodnite sleep was not had at all. There is a long term resident downstairs. The unit has zero soundproofing and we could hear everything said by the tenant downstairs We were booked for 2 nites but after finding a used condom we cut our visit short. During this time of pandemic we wondered how well the property(dump) had really been cleaned. We tried to find alternative lodging that nite but nothing was available. Basically the owner is trying to maximize her profits/greed while supplying the customer with the barest amount of items. In other words this place is owned by a slum lord. Don't waste your money on this dump.

James, We want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that is 100% ready for their stay, so we take the cleanliness of our properties seriously! We followed up with the homeowner, and we'd like to share the following: -The owner and housekeeper were shocked to hear about the cleanliness concern, as the cleaning service thoroughly cleans and sanitizes the house before and after each guest. -We are sure this was an isolated incident, but we apologize for the inconvenience this caused. -We fully advertise the property through the listing photos and description, including the amenities provided, the bedding arrangements, and the layout of the home. This way, guests know what to expect before booking. -Bed comfort is personal and subjective to every traveler, although we're sorry they were too firm for your liking. -Once alerted to your concerns, we're glad to confirm that the owner took immediate action, and tried to help your group with several generous offers and measures. We're sorry if we couldn't come to a more agreeable solution. We wish you the best in all your future travels!

Basic. Like a dorm.

There are tenants below. Quite nice and quiet. They were in the driveway when we arrived and offered to answer questions or concerns. Shared a driveway with them. There is an okay restaurant/bar directly across the street. The apartment is basic. Clean. Feels like a frat dorm. One double bed and a twin in one bedroom and two twins the other bedroom. Kitchen was equipped with everything needed to cook and clean. Close proximity to town, like a 7 min drive. River is across the street but not accessible to you. Bathtub faucet was leaky. Toilet flushed great. Smart TV available and wifi was good. Lock box was a bit strange to open but you’ll figure it out. Porch is rickety. It is a solid okay. It won’t be the highlight of your trip. Plan for other good times:)

The homeowner assured us that they would remind the residents that the driveway is reserved for the short-term renters. We're sorry that you felt the apartment was basic. A very functional spot on Russian River

The house is in a great location just across from Stumptown Brewery. There is a river access point about 1/4 mile down the river. It's not very private as there is a downstairs occupant and the back patio is exposed to neighbors. It's clean with driveway parking so if you're looking a functional place to access the river and brewery it is great.

Very clean but beds are not very comfortable

We arrived and the house was nice and clean and looks like the pictures. The outside trash that the downstairs renter uses as well was already overflowing when we got there. The wifi goes in and out but thats understandable. Wish the beds were more comfortable they are really hard. The full mattress had a small cushion so that helped. But the sheets and everything were clean. I know you pay that price for location but its little high once you pay for all the fees.

Sleeps 5 comfortably

Very nice house right off the highway making it easy to find and right across the river which is super dope. I stayed here for a wedding in a neighboring town, but will definitely come back to check out Guerneville. My only thing is it kinda smelled so opening up the windows was a MUST. Also, this place sleeps 5 comfortably. Idk how comfortable it would be for 6. Overall I would stay here again with the fam.
