Columbus Hideaway à long terme! Animaux acceptés!

Ce chalet confortable prĂšs de la riviĂšre est au cƓur du quartier historique. Nous avons souvent des clients qui restent chez nous pendant de longues pĂ©riodes, mais nous aimons aussi accueillir des personnes pour des sĂ©jours plus courts. Avec un lit queen et un canapĂ©-lit, la maison peut accueillir 4 personnes. Nous aimons les propriĂ©taires de chiens, alors vos amis Ă  fourrure sont les bienvenus. Cuisine entiĂšrement Ă©quipĂ©e. Grill, matelas en mousse Ă  mĂ©moire de forme, serviettes, draps, tĂ©lĂ©viseur 50 ", WiFi et Roku inclus. Beaucoup de stationnement et marche Ă  la riviĂšre et au centre-ville. 15 minutes Ă  Bennning. La propriĂ©tĂ© est entiĂšrement meublĂ©e avec toutes les commoditĂ©s nĂ©cessaires pour des sĂ©jours Ă  court et Ă  long terme.


La maison elle-mĂȘme est un duplex historique avec des plafonds de 14 pieds, des planchers de bois franc d'origine et une cheminĂ©e dans le salon (malheureusement uniquement dĂ©coratif Ă  cause des codes de protection incendie). Le salon comprend une tĂ©lĂ©vision et un canapĂ©-lit. Wifi dans toute la maison.

La cuisine est entiÚrement équipée et offre beaucoup d'espace pour préparer les repas.

La salle de bain a été repeinte et mise à jour.

La chambre est à l'arriÚre avec un lit queen avec un matelas en mousse à mémoire de forme. Il comprend également une armoire, des hangars, une planche à repasser et du fer à repasser. Laveuse et sécheuse sont également dans l'unité.

Beaucoup de places de stationnement sur le cÎté de la maison.

La maison est un duplex, il y aura donc d'autres clients de l'autre cÎté, mais chaque cÎté est complÚtement séparé et entiÚrement équipé. Nous sommes toujours disponibles si vous avez besoin de nous, mais vous aurez un code de porte qui vous permettra d'aller et venir à votre guise pour vous assurer une flexibilité et une confidentialité maximales.

The listing stated a washer and dryer, so we packed accordingly, and there wasn't. Bathroom wall next to the toilet looked like someone had diarrhea and splashed the wall. The bed is like a hammock on the left side.

This property was clean, adequately stocked, and smelled as fresh as humanly possible. The location was excellent. Just a few blocks from the downtown scene and quiet enough to get revitalized for the many excursions and adventures my wife and I were able to make lasting memories. Thank you Joe and Rachel we'll be back for sure !

Weekend Getaway

We had a great weekend getaway in Columbus for our anniversary. The duplex is located away from the traffic of downtown but within walking distance. We walked to the riverfront, the market, and restaurants. Thanks for a great time!

Great for Trails!

We spent a few days here following a military graduation. It puts you close to downtown food, river, and trail access points. I’d say if you’re not spending a lot of time inside this is the spot. Great price point!

Jazz and Relaxation

We had a great stay in Columbus. There is a Bread and Breakfast or something across the street that had live music when we got to the house. It was great to relax and listen to some great music after a long drive.

Duplex Columbus

Great stay for a few nights. Overall cleanliness was good. Ease of access was good. Communication with property manager was amazing!! I am a contractor by trade so I noticed small stuff, but we all have imperfections.

It was a bit run down and tge bed was terribly uncomfortable and so very loud every time you move.

Other than location this house is definitely not worth the money

Loved the neighborhood

The house was located in a very nice neighborhood, perfect for walking my dogs. It is a very basic set up, no amenities. There was a coffee pot but no coffee cups. Luckily we brought our own coffee pot and travel mugs. I was surprised there was no microwave. The bed is too short. My husband loved the big TV though to watch the football game and it had plenty of channels. For what we needed it was fine and we got to bring our dogs with us.

Nice enough, but not fancy

My wife and I brought our dog and stayed at this property for a weekend. It was pet friendly and located near to where we needed to be. The neighborhood was nice for walking the dog and checking out the many historic homes.The property itself was fine but not fancy. I’m not in the business of renting a home of my own, nor have I ever taken my dog to stay in a VRBO property before, but perhaps this is the standard for pet-friendly properties. Laminate flooring with no rugs of any kind makes sense when you consider that dogs can be messy, but it doesn’t make for a very homey feel. That being said, the bed was fine, and everything was quite clean, even if the finishes were a bit dated. The WiFi worked well, and the smart TV had access to several streaming services. I do have to say that the team at the office was excellent. We got back from walking our dog on our checkout day to realize that the lock had automatically reset at 10 AM, locking us out with our luggage inside. When I called, they were very polite and helpful and were able to remotely unlock the door so that we could grab our belongings and go. Much appreciated!

Poor Experience

I completed all documentation upon reservation and was denied access to enter house until a few hours after checkin in time. I heard nothing from individual(s) in regards to needing any documentation (that was already submitted a month or two in advance) or information for checkin until after I went through hours trying to find someway/somehow to contact individuals responsible for access and wait for a response. Very disappointing experience. Once arrived, I had to smash bugs just inside the door upon entering house after a 10 hour drive to get there. Some doors in house would not close all the way or wouldn’t open all the way to enter bedroom due to warped flooring. Kitchen was so dim that I needed a flashlight to see. There were warning notes on toilet about poor plumbing issues that shouldve been repaired before having guests stay. This was a terrible experience and outrageously priced for such a poor experience!

Supplies I Expected

Although dealing with a serious personal matter, our host did everything she could to accommodate our requests. There are a few things she should not have had to deal with. No linens for pullout sofa or sufficient bath linens. Kitchen supplies were not sufficient for the weekend. Had we stayed the entire 3 days I would have had to purchase dish soap & paper towels. We plan to return to Ft Benning & will most likely still stay with you again. We prefer 402 2nd Ave. & we appreciate everything that Erika did to make our stay comfortable

The property comes fully furnished with all of the amenities needed for both short-term and long-term stays.


The house itself is a historic duplex with 14 foot ceilings, original hardwood floors, and a fireplace in the living room (sadly only decorative now due to fire codes). Living room includes TV and pull-out sofa. Wifi throughout the house.

The kitchen is fully equipped, and offers plenty of space for preparing meals.

The bathroom has been repainted and updated.

The bedroom is in the back with a queen-sized bed with memory foam mattress. It also includes a closet, hangars, ironing board, and iron. Washer and dryer are in the unit, as well.

Plenty of parking along the side of the house.

The house is a duplex, so there will be other guests on the other side, but each side is completely separated and fully equipped.

This cozy cottage near the river is in the heart of the historic district. We often have guests stay with us for extended periods, but we also love hosting people for shorter stays, as well. With a queen bed and pullout sofa, the house can sleep 4. We love dog owners, so your furry friends are welcome. Kitchen fully equipped. Grill, memory foam mattress, towels, sheets, 50" TV, WiFi, and Roku included. Plenty of parking and walkable to river & downtown. 15 minutes to Bennning.
