Welcome to Bark Point Retreat, a premiere Lake Superior private oasis capable of sleeping 18! We are located near the end of Bark Point overlooking Lake Superior and the Western Apostle Islands with Barks Bay. A picturesque 3-hour drive from MSP and less than an hour drive from Bayfield, Madeline Island, Apostle Island National Lakeshore, Sea Caves, Cornucopia, Winery's and more!

==>Lake-Access is not recommended due to difficulty in terrain
==>We prefer Saturday-Saturday bookings in peak season, but if that doesn't work for your schedule feel free to book the days that work for your group, shorter gaps will be opened up per my calendar
==>5 True Bedrooms with One Additional Non-Private Sleeping Area
==>No Surcharge for Cleaning- All Money Received goes directly to Local Cleaners
==>No Surcharge for Extra Guests, we charge based on max occupancy
==>Groups of 8 or less who only want 1/2 the house can get a cleaning fee of 175$, just ask when you book. It has all of the main living areas, with 3 private bedrooms.
==>No Parties- neighbors have grown to expect peace and quiet, and we will not be jeopardizing that. It doesn't mean you can't be outside, just please be mindful of your surroundings.
==> We recently upgraded our back deck to a concrete patio so summer 2026 may look different than pictures posted until landscaping is done, spring 2026 may have some grass seeding present

Wonderful views of lake. Cabin had everything you needed. Well stocked, lots of towels and plillows. Beds were very comfortable. We had a nice campfire the last night we were there. Made some wonderful memories. Will definately come back

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful spot on Lake Superior! The setting was peaceful and the views were amazing. Our friends from out of state had a blast. The amenities were great and plenty of space. Unfortunately, there was a small hiccup with the water during our stay, but Luke, the owner, handled it with professionalism, kindness, and generosity. He went above and beyond to make things right, which we truly appreciated. We’d happily return!

Family Vacation

This is the perfect private getaway for a Family Vacation right on Lake Superior. Excellent view of the Lake. The house had every amenity you could need. Great space, plenty of room. Hosts are amazing!

Perfect house for our family vacation

Everything about this house was great, plenty of room for my family of 9, location to local towns and the Apostle Islands, communication with property owner, and beautiful views of the lake! I really appreciate all of the extra towels and bedding because other VRBO’s are sometimes not so generous. We also loved the abundance of seating in the great room, we’ve been to several homes that only seat a few when the home sleeps 10-15, so that was fantastic. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Great property. Great venue. Great views.

Our family of 8 adults and 4 children under 6 were extremely comfortable at this property. The kitchen/dining/gathering room was more than ample. The dining area seated the entire family. The HUGE couch seated the crew as well. The kitchen is wonderful and multiple refrigerators really help. The yard is well kept and very inviting. We had a great week!

Beautiful views, unique design of home.

Our group of 11 all enjoyed the Superior views, plenty of beds, and the unique design of the home. The kitchen lacked nothing and the native wildlife was on display. Excellent property, highly recommend.

Wonderful!

We had a wonderful time with our whole family over Thanksgiving. The house was spacious with plenty of room to both spend time together and spread out to get a little space. The host was really responsive and helpful. The house did feel a little bit like a maze to start with but was okay once you got use to it.

Lake Superior family vacation 2024

Out of the way location- on Lake Superior. The layout of the place is unusual, but everyone had a place to sleep. Kitchen had pretty much everything we needed to cook our meals. If you're lucky enough to have clear skies you will see a awesome sunrise.

Beautiful area, beautiful house

We (3 generations and dogs) had a lovely stay here- the area is so pretty and quiet, and property location is great, and the house is wonderful! Lots and lots of space and amazing kitchen and living area. Highly recommend!

Quiet, remote and perfect for a winter get-away

I am a physical therapist and my wife is a registered nurse; we live in western Wisconsin with our 5-year old son Niko, 2-year old daughter Georgia, and 8-year old golden retriever Lambeau. We enjoy all things outdoors, and that includes travel!

We wanted a property that could host larger groups as we come from big families and have struggled in the past to find something that could accommodate us all. Combine that with the large, breathtaking views of the lake and we knew we had to have it.

この宿泊施設の特徴

It is one of the few houses along the south shore that enjoys a sunrise view, and it is also protected from the large northern winds that have a tendency to destroy shoreline for people on the west side of Bark's Point. It is also one of the largest cabin rentals you will find while still allowing everyone to sleep under the same roof. The unique 2nd story screened in porch with the panoramic views are our favorite part of the home.
