Beautiful Family Retreat - Sleeps 14

Our beautiful mountain retreat is a 6 bedroom private home located in the popular West Vail area. Situated on a ¼ acre and nestled among beautiful pine trees, this home has all the conveniences of a large private, spacious home, yet is located steps (40 yards) to the free Town of Vail bus service that will have you in the Heart of Lionshead in 6 minutes or Vail Village in 12 minutes for skiing, shopping and dining. No car needed!

This home is in a coveted location: 40 yards to the free Town of Vail taking you to Vail Village for skiing, shopping, restaurants, bars and theater, or ride your bike to town along the scenic Gore Creek bikeway (about 10-15 minute bike ride). Donovan's Park and playground is less than a 5 minute walk down the road.

Our home has been recently updated with new paint, carpet, decor and bedding. Enjoy the private hot tub or simply relax in front of the wood burning fireplace after a busy day of skiing.

This home is perfect for family gatherings or friends getting together and sleeps up to 14 guests. We have the main home (4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms - sleeping 10) plus a large apartment (large living area, 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom - sleeping 4). Double CONNECTED garage, heated driveway, with parking available for up to 5 cars (2 cars in x 3 cars out) – no carrying luggage in the SNOW!!

Our home has a warm, rustic cabin feel with wood ceilings, flagstone and stunning pecan hardwood floors. There are two separate living spaces both with flat-screen TV’s - one for the adults and one for the kids! The main living room has beautiful vaulted wood ceilings with a stone wood burning fireplace. Enjoy a glass of wine in front of the fire-place or step outside to enjoy your wine on the large front deck.

The fully equipped kitchen has updated knotty alder cabinets, granite counter tops with plenty of counter space and supplies/spices for all your cooking needs and a complete selection of cookware, platters and small appliances. We have everything you would need for a small dinner or a huge feast.

Other amenities include private hot tub, wood-burning fireplace, gas BBQ grill, 3 flat screen TV's, 3 DVD players, hi-speed internet (WIFI), stereo system, books, board games, washer/dryer in the main house and the apartment.

We also have items for small children such as a Pak n Play, high chair etc.

We can provide recommendations for: Grocery Service, Massage Service, Ski Butler Service, Ski Lockers and Catering.

10 of us gathered for our annual ski trip. This location was ideal, short walk to bus stop, and across the highway from grocery store. 5 stars all the way around! This house could not have been better for our family. It is obvious that the hosts (Brian & Hollie) take care of / maintain the property well. They were very communicative and we had no issues during our two week stay. It is one of the most well stocked VRBOs we have ever stayed in for kitchen appliances, kids gear, games, etc. The house is large and easily could fit 3 families with kids. We loved the outdoor seating with firepit along with the hot tub. The location is great with a 20 yard walk to the bus stop to get around Vail, a short drive to Beaver Creek and just 3 minutes from the grocery store. We will definitely be staying again!

We had 3 families, a total of 14 over 18 years old and the house accommodated us perfectly! Most importantly was the proximity to the bus which had us at Eagle Bahn in 6 min. Easy! The only negative was they decided to clean the hot tub on our last ski day so we couldn't enjoy the hot tub our last night. Regardless, we loved our stay at this West Vail home!

Great house for families!

12 (plus nanny) stayed at this property the week after Christmas. Great set up for our group with bonus apartment. Please note apartment is accessed only by outside stairs, but not really an issue. Large, well stocked kitchen with plenty of dining space. Really nice hot tub. Property managers were very responsive during our stay. Bus stop is steps away. If you catch the right bus (red going into the village, green coming back!) you are ten minutes from Vail transportation center.

Cozy spot for a big family!

We had a big family of 8 staying here together for a week during the summer. The location is great, the accommodations are clean and cozy, there’s lots of entertainment at the house and space for everyone to hang out together. My parents are a little older so the stairs to get to the main level and primary bedroom were a bit of a challenge, but they managed just fine if they took it slow. The hot tub is nice and big, the kitchen had everything we needed to make meals and enjoy them together, and there were plenty of sleeping arrangements for us to choose from. We enjoyed the nearness of the grocery stores, the short walk to the park and creek down the street and the ease to get around to other areas of the mountains. Would highly recommend this home for a large group traveling to Vail!

Fabulous house!

This house was one of the best equipped vrbo houses we’ve stayed in. The kitchen had all the appliances you would want with a large selection of spices. There was plenty of seating and comfortable beds. The hot tub was a wonderful retreat after a day of skiing. We appreciated the bins filled with extras gloves and gear. The location can’t be beat. It is just steps from the bus making it very easy to get to and from Vail Village. If you drive up the heated driveway is a bonus. It really came in handy as Vail received 15” of snow during our stay. The hosts were very responsive to our questions. I look forward to coming back to this house.

Excellent location and great family house

Our family, including 6 adults and 4 children, stayed at this beautiful house for a skiing vacation. The location is wonderful, right near the bus stop and just a short drive to Vail Village, grocery shopping and restaurants. The house was spotless, the kitchen fully equipped with modern appliances, and the bathrooms all updated and luxurious. There were even lots of games for the kids including shuffleboard and ping pong. We had plenty of room for our whole group and overall had a great vacation. We would definitely stay there again!

We are the Sinclair family and we live in Denver, CO. We have been coming to the mountains every weekend to ski and we finally decided to just buy our own place! So, in December 2015 we purchased this home. We are an active family and our two young boys are training to be ski racers. We love the Summers in Vail as well, lots of biking, hiking, the scenery is amazing, not to mention all the festivals, art shows and markets.

Why they chose this property

We recently purchased our home in December 2015. We have always wanted a place that is close to Vail, Lionshead (and even Beaver Creek), had all the conveniences of the free bus (yes - it's literally 40 yards walk), yet was a home large enough that we could invite our friends and family so we could have our kids play together, create memories and have fun! This house is the perfect location for us. It's convenient to the free bus, has lots of backyard space for the kids to explore and we can even ride our bikes to Vail in the Summer (in 15 minutes) along the beautiful Gore Creek bike path. We are also close to Gore Creek and Donovan park for the kids to play and enjoy themselves.

What makes this property unique

Close to all activities - Winter and Summer! Attached apartment for those extra large family retreats and gatherings! On the free bus - 4 free buses every hour! Ride your bikes to Vail in 15 minutes in the Summer!
