Five stars all round!
This place is top quality inside and out! It is a condo unit but it is as if you are in your own completely spacious private home. You can't even tell you have neighbors. It is built rock solid and even the balcony is completely private. The grounds are kept up so nice. Keys are not known for the beaches but with this place you have 3 small ones that you can access the water to swim, snorkel or launch a kayak. That was a plus! Lounge chairs are plenty along the water and they even have some under a covered area if you don't want the sun. The pool was nice and the lighted dock was fun to watch the fish at night. There are also Weber gas grills with sitting areas on the property! For those of you who need an elevator it is right around the corner and they even had carts you could load your luggage on, if needed.
The View...oh my the VIEW! First of all you are practically on top of the clear beautiful water, so we saw so many things from the balcony. Just to name a few - stingrays jumping, sea turtle, crab, iguana's, little lizards, fish feeding and some colorful ones, birds galore including osprey, pelicans, frigatebirds and white heron and just when thought I saw it all a manatee swam by!! Oh and 20 plus White Ibis birds showed up one day on the grounds! Let's just say it was hard to leave the balcony. And by the way...the balcony is huge and has very nice furnishings! It faces the sunset so 1 PM - 5 PM it was hot but it worked great for us. I was able to get some sun from our own private balcony and we had prime spot for beautiful sunsets and dinner each evening!
We made most of our meals here and I can say that the kitchen is very well stocked and with nice accessories and pans something you don't always find in rentals. We loved Key Colony Beach area. It was convenient to everything, but we still had our own piece of paradise at Unit #35. Key West is about 1 hour a way...easy drive. We went on to the Dry Tortugas via Ferry which I highly suggest...worth every penny! It was absolutely amazing and if you like to snorkel you will be in heaven. If you prefer not to snorkel, you can get great pics and see colorful fish and coral just by walking the moat wall! We also suggest the Hemingway House tour.
This was our first trip to the Keys and my husband said I hit this one out of the ballpark. Needless to say, we will be back to Key Colony Point #35.
The condo is exactly like the pictures. Location is great if you are visiting the Keys as Marathon is right in the middle. Views off the balcony are fabulous. We really enjoyed staying there. It had everything we needed.
Could not ask for a better place to stay
My wife and a friend loved this place, close to everything we wanted to do and the pool was great. Met a number of very nice people and very much enjoyed the Key Colony restaurant just up the street. Our stay was exceptional.
The condo was luxurious and comfortable— far better than the pictures could have shown.
The community was safe and private and high end—- and absolutely breathtaking beautiful. It was exactly as we hoped it would be— better really. We felt more like we were at a friends or family members. The community of Key Colony was gracious and quaint. The businesses and restaurant terrific and accommodating. The highlight was deep sea fishing with Best Bet Sport Fishing. They made a great trip into something to forever remember.
Nice quiet place. Good fishing. Not the beach we were hoping for. Pool is HOT. Was told they keep temp at 83... needs to be 60 during the summer because of the sun. Overall enjoyed.
Wonderful location and amenities!
Awesome sunsets. Relaxing pool and views of the boats going by. My family of 5 loved it and will return someday!
100 miles south of Miami Airport and 50 miles north of Key West, this central location is great for exploring the entire Florida Keys and its world famous diving and fishing opportunities. Marathon proper, just to the south, has all the necessities including groceries, movie theater, pharmacies, etc. Numerous great restaurants are also nearby, including some within walking distance.
