This home sits on 2 acres. At the top of the hill there is a two-car garage and room to store 2 boats or an R/V. There is also an outdoor dog run - a great place for dogs to dry off after a swim.
Down the hill and next to the home is room to park two more vehicles and a long driveway - several cars will fit comfortably. The home backs up to Richardson's Bay on Big Round Lake. Sporting many deep bays our shoreline has a sandy bottom great for swimming and canoeing.
Round Lake offers many areas for safe swimming, fishing, canoeing, and boating. There are two docks at the house that allow for days full of sunbathing and fishing. If you wish to bring your own boat the second dock is for your use. There is a convenient launch site at Round Lake Marina on our bay. Additionally you may want to rent our 20ft pontoon boat. The home also features a large lakeside deck with a wonderful view of the bay and has a hot tub and gas grill for your use.
Hayward, Wisconsin - just a 10 minute drive from the house - provides many great resort town activities. The National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame is located in Hayward. It contains a 143-foot fiberglass musky - a fun visit for all ages. Tourists can climb up into the mouth of the fish, and look over the town, as well as Lake Hayward.
Downtown Hayward attracts crowds to Tremblay's Sweet Shop, famous for its homemade fudges, truffles and gourmet chocolates. Main Street offers many other shops, a renowned bakery and restaurants plus a winery to enjoy. Another family-favorite near to downtown is the Wilderness Walk. This outdoor nature center is perfect for adults and children alike. It's many trails are dotted with wildlife, and the petting zoo helps educate children about wild animals and the animal rehabilitation the center conducts.
Hayward has remained a popular fishing destination because of the many nearby natural lakes and rivers. The area is renowned for its trophy-sized "muskies", northern pike, walleye, and smallmouth bass.
In addition to fishing, Hayward is also a hot spot for deer hunting, golfing, canoeing, kayaking, boating, horseback riding, and road and mountain biking. As the seasons change, snowmobiling, downhill and cross-country skiing become popular outdoor activities.
