This delightful small studio is well appointed on the first floor of an attractive apartment block, reached by lift or stairs. It is situated in a quiet part of Les Carroz, right near the village centre, close to restaurants, bars, attractive shops and mini supermarkets, skating rink and swimming pool. It is nicely furnished in pine with good views from the generous balcony down a wooded valley and across to attractive wooden chalets opposite. It is a 2 minute walk to the stop for the free ski bus and then just 2-3 minutes by bus to the telecabine. Buses depart about every ten minutes at peak times.

PERFECT BIRTHDAY BREAK

We stayed in this lovely studio for a last minute birthday break. It was lovely and had everything we could possibly need. There was just the 2 of us so plenty so space. Well thought out layout with the fold up table and very easy to use sofa bed. As per other reviews this was also very comfy. Plenty of hot water and great to have a bath after a long day skiing. Location spot on and check in very easy and key drop also. Recommend highly. Thanks Andrew and Anne for being very attentive to all our questions.

Notre séjour dans cette location s’est très bien passé. Le studio n'est pas grand mais bien conçu. Nous avons apprécié la proximité avec le centre et tous les commerces. Il manquait juste un four micro-ondes et un grille-pain dans la cuisine.

Was easy to find and met our requirements very nicely. The centre is a very short walk away and the supermarkets are very close. A bath is a bonus to soak the legs following prolonged skiing.

Appartement conforme à l'annonce. Résidence calme, proche du centre ville et d'un super pump parc pour le bonheur des enfants. Bien aménagé avec de nombreux rangements. Légèrement petit pour 2 adultes et 2 enfants/ados mais on le savait avant de partir et la cohabitation est tout de même gérable. Balcon avec le soleil le matin (sympa pour déjeuner). Station animée même en cette période de covid avec respect des gestes barrières et application du couvre-feu. Conclusion : très bon séjour.

Comfortable and convenient studio for skiing from Les Carroz, with helpful owners.

The studio is very conveniently located close to the centre of Les Carroz, giving quick access on foot to shops, ski hire and places to eat and drink. The free ski-bus, which runs every 20 minutes, stops nearby and takes one quickly to and from the gondola station that gives access to the Grand Massif ski area. Though the studio is quite small, it was perfectly satisfactory for two adults, and would still be practical for two children as well. It was well equipped and we had no difficulty catering for ourselves most evenings. The king-size sofa bed was particularly comfortable for sleeping. The electric heating was more than adequate when needed but also completely controllable and there was a good shower with plenty of hot water. We also had use of a ski equipment locker in the basement of the apartments. We enjoyed skiing the whole of the Grand Massif area and found some nice places to eat and drink, both on the slopes and in the village. Anne and Andrew were very helpful and understanding with the arrangements for booking, arriving and leaving and there was helpful and detailed information also provided in the apartment. I can recommend this accommodation.

Venus à deux personnes, le studio est parfait. Bien aménagé et équipé. Bonne literie. Proche du centre et des commerces d'un agréable village. A 5 minutes des pistes en bus gratuit. Un four micro-ondes serait le bienvenu. Le domaine skiable est très étendu (avec forfait Grand-Massif) et convient à tous les niveaux de skieurs. Les propriétaires sont rapidement réactifs à toute questions.

Perfect studio in perfect location

I have never had such helpful hosts, they made every part of this holiday stress free and enjoyable. Great advice on what to do, where to go and which slopes to try. The studio itself was perfect, the raclette machine was an amazing touch which we loved. Another great benefit was the ski locker. We were only two and had plenty of space to move around and did not struggle with storing our stuff away. The location of the studio is also brilliant, less than a minute to shops and only a few minute walk to the shuttle bus to get up to the slopes. Thank you for a truly amazing holiday, we will be back!

We stayed in the apartment for 4 nights between 2nd Jan to 6th Jan 2018 and it was great, location is perfect to. It was spotless and all we needed to make our first trip to Les Carroz brilliant. Andrew the owner was very helpful and friendly to be honest he was great, sent Keys and directions in plenty of time and answered any questions professionally and friendly which I feel when you are booking an apartment is an important factor. very cosy apartment with great location

This apartment was really great. Cosy and quiet yet very central, 2 mins to shops, bakery, ski shop, bars , ice rink , ski bus stop and restaurants. 5 min walk to the new local pool complex with sauna and Turkish bath. The apartment was very clean with everything we needed. The pull out sofa bed was really large and comfortable and there was a huge selection of dvds to choose from. Ideal to relax after a day of skiing. The owners were really great to deal with. We will be booking again next year.

Lovely clean apartment, close to bars shops restaurants and within easy access to the slopes. The apartment can accommodate a family of 4 with a pull out double sofa bed and bunk beds in the hall. Thought it might be a mission bringing bedding however it didn't take up much space in my suitcase, so wasn't a problem at all. Definitely coming back next year. Thanks guys

Great central location

We have been to Les Carroz twice before and this studio is better than others we have used. Great central location, near shops and restaurants and ski bus stop. Well maintained and equipped exactly as described. The owners Andrew and Ann are very friendly, know the area extremely well so can give recommendations. We have already requested a booking for next year.

Cheap ski holiday

The apartment is small but adequate for 2 people and perfectly situated for the village and the ski bus. If you are looking for a budget ski holiday you wont get better.

From the age of three my early education was in Switzerland. I learnt to ski with my family and met my wife in Geneva. I now live in the countryside in Devon but have continued to return several times a year to ski with my wife and two children. My in-laws still live in the mountains there.

Here in Exeter, Devon we have a smallholding and keep Angora goats, chickens and two English Setter dogs. Now in my fifties I am still active, playing team squash, body boarding and kayaking. I also belong to a Dangerous Sports Club (the latter activity my wife says is a good excuse for a drink with the boys!)

Both my wife and I are teachers -she continues to teach at Plymouth University and I have retired and devote my time to looking after the smallholding and managing a student house in Exeter.

Why they chose this property

Having previously lived in Geneva and skied all around the Alps, we wanted a studio that was easily accessible to Geneva airport. We chose Les Carroz because it has superb skiing in the Grand Massif, and has a good reliable snow history. Les Carroz is a charming and vibrant village with good amenities and restaurants serving tasty local specialities. In summer there are lots of activities going on, ranging from walking, downhill biking, swimming in the village pool or natural spring lakes and riding to hang gliding and rafting. Everywhere you look there are stunning views of mountain scenery, with wooden chalets and tasteful traditional buildings.

What makes this property unique

The studio is well designed and you can enjoy coffee and croissants on the balcony in the morning, with a lovely view down the valley. The studio is in a quiet location but is in the village centre close to the shops, and ice skating rink. In the summer it is close to the outdoor swimming pools and tennis courts. If you wish to go sight seeing there are many places of interest nearby, including Chamonix, Annecy, Les Gets, Morzine etc.

There is ample private parking outside the building so you won't have to walk far. If you wish to walk to the ski lift it can be done in ten minutes, or you can take the free ski bus which stops outside the building.
