Lovely little apartment
This was our fourth visit to Le Cerisier.
A comfortable apartment, lovely hosts, great location and fantastic views from the roof terrace.
Another fantastic stay
We had another fantastic holiday staying in the apartment, Thank you Lisa and Damien. The welcome pack was very kind of you. The roof top terrace has now been opened out further so that the new elevated eating area enables you to sit and watch the sun go down over the Pyrenees whilst enjoying a glass of your favourite wine. If you are reading this and haven't stayed in this area before you will find there is a lot you can do and will find Lisa and Damien the perfect hosts
Our home away from home!
This was our third stay at Le Cerisier, and I hope it won’t be our last.
Lovely, well-equipped apartment in a charming village, 35 minutes from the sea. Only lost out on 5 stars for the poor wifi connection.
Lisa and Damian were charming and helpful hosts, and were kind enough to recommend their own favourite resort of La Taramissiere, on the Herault river, which became our favourite too!
The local shopkeepers were very friendly and helpful. The boulangerie even baked some gluten-free bread especially for us, which was amazing.
Five days was too short a time to explore this wonderful wine-growing area.
We would definitely go back!
This was our second visit to Le Cerisier, hopefully it wasn’t be our last.
A very comfortable and beautifully decorated apartment. Lisa and Damien are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome.

About Lisa or Damian
We are an English couple living in the beautiful Languedoc region of France, our names are Damian and Lisa. We have been here since 2008 and have fallen in love with the stunning french countryside and the laidback lifestyle. Running our B&B and gite is completely different from our jobs back in the UK (Damian was a teacher and I was a PA), the best part about being here is meeting so many different people.
Lisa or Damian purchased this Apartment in 2008
Why Lisa or Damian chose Saint-Geniès-de-Fontedit
There is just so much to see and do within a short drive, we have the coast 30 minutes drive away, with its stunning mediterranean beaches, the bustling towns of Montpellier, Narbonne, Perpignan, Carcassone and Beziers less than an hour away. To the north there is the Herault National Park with its breathtaking scenery of rugged mountains, rivers and gorges and then if that wasn't enough, there is the Canal du Midi, less than 30 minutes away. We also have the benefit of 300 days of sunshine every year, and we really do!
What makes this Apartment unique
The property is an old winemakers house, which has been lovingly renovated to make a small B&B with a gite apartment on the top floor. The gite has the use of a private terrace with stunning views across vineyards to the hills of the herault national park. The gite has all the conveniences that you would need on a holiday, the village has a bakers, a small grocers shop, a Tabac, a post office, a pizza take away and a cafe/bar, during the summer, there are numerous fetes and events in the village, which are fascinating to watch. Its an experience of 'real' France, as the main work of the local villagers is still wine making. We also offer evening meals on certain nights throughout the week, to have in the apartment or in the dining room of the B&B.
