The location of the cottage is very good, being only a short stroll from Padstow town centre and the cottage is quite spacious. The owner was very nice to deal with too and means well, no complaints there! The kitchen is well equipped, although could do with some Pizza pans! There is a good sized dining area with a small light conservatory. The bathroom and shower are also OK. The hot water immersion is quite noisy when it is heating the water. There are 2 TVs, but they are both very old and should be replaced (one only works intermittently and they are both very annoying to use after a couple of days). One downside in the living room is that the house opposite has a large garage which is permanently open and used for a commercial business (there are 2 white vans in there most of the time, with people coming and going throughout the day).Overall, it was reasonably clean, but could probably do with a deep clean at some point. The parking was my main gripe - it does have off street parking, but it is extremely narrow. I managed to squeeze my 8 week old Mercedes into the space after some careful manoeuvring (and some sweating!). The next day I returned to my car to find it was completely covered in concrete like bird droppings from the tree above. I tried to remove them with soapy water, but found that my paintwork had been damaged. I was able to purchase a car cover from Halfords in Truro (for ?40!), but the damage had already been done (I had to return to the Mercedes dealer to have the scratches removed :-(. There is also a loose fence with wooden posts on one side of the parking, which could potentially be blown onto the side of your car. I would strongly suggest that the owner replaces this and considers fitting a car port. Ideally, the parking bay should be widened.
