My wife Jill and I first travelled to the Cape Verde Islands in 2007, we toured 3 of the most popular Islands, Sal, Boa Vista and Sai Vicente. We fell in love with Sai Vicente for its old world unspoilt charm and lack of commercialism. Mindelo is the capital of Sai Vicente and is the cultural centre of the islands. We purchased 2 Villa's off plan and have travelled there 4 times since watching them progress to completion in January 2010 where we had our first holiday in the Villas during the worst winter in the UK for years.

Why they chose this property

My wife and I wanted a second investment home where we could eventually spend half of our retirement years during the English winters and spend family time with our children and grandson. The weather averages 25 degrees Celsius all year round. We are remote enough to have total peace and close enough to Mindelo to enjoy it's vibrant life style.

What makes this property unique

Total peace with beautiful views of the sea to the front and mountains to the rear. The sea is 90 metres away where you can have a leisurely walk along the beach and enjoy the quite unspoiled coastline.
