Very easy to book and quick confirmation. The house was as described and extremely well equipped with all mod cons in a character cottage. Beautiful flowers and full cream tea to greet us. Good quality bed linen and plenty of towels. Cottage is 2 minute walk to the harbour a good selection of restaurants and shops. Looking forward to a return visit next year
We are very glad that you enjoyed staying in Porthcressa Cottage and really pleased that you would like to return next year,
With best wishes,
Claire and Barbara
2nd stay and will return, excellent cottage, pretty garden and parking for 1 car. Very close to the harbour.
It was great to have you back for a second visit! So glad you enjoyed staying in the cottage and enjoyed the garden. Hope to have you back again next year.
A great cottage in a great location
The cottage is very well equipped and has good quality and comfortable furniture. The rooms are spacious, and we put the 2 single beds together to make a comfortable queen size bed. The cottage even has the advantage of an outside privy if someone is hogging the bathroom! Although the parking is a bit tight, we managed to get a large estate car parked OK.
There is a peaceful garden to sit in the afternoon sun but literally 2 minutes away are all the amenities of the village.
There is somewhere different to eat every night, but booking is advisable. Nowhere was disappointing but The Mussel Shoal at the harbour head was particularly nice and informal and the fish and chip shop on Shute Lane had some of the best chips we have tasted in a long time.
Nothing bettered the very welcome cream tea waiting for us when we arrived though!
Porthleven is well placed for exploring western Cornwall and has loads of interesting places within 30 mins drive. We’ve still got plenty of places to explore and expect to be back!
We are so pleased that you had such a great holiday in Porthlevenen and that you enjoyed all its amenities with such a variety of good restaurants, and that you found Porthcressa so comfortable and pleasant. Come back again soon!
Wonderful location, comfortable and fully equipped.
A lovely house, spacious, well furnished, comfortable and in a great location (2 mins walk from the harbour).
There was a cream tea waiting for us on arrival which was most welcome. The house has everything you need and more.
We really enjoyed our stay in Porthleven - lots to do locally in the town (many restaurants, boat trip, shopping, walking etc.). The local area is great and the scenery amazing.
We'll definitely be back.
