About Ann Doherty
This is my home for 6 months of the year. My work takes me away for the summer months. I'm sure you'll enjoy my house as much as I do.
Ann Doherty purchased this Cottage in 2006
Why Ann Doherty chose Clare
I grew up in this area and I built this house in 2006 because I loved the site and remember visiting it when I was a kid I love to go for walks towards Doonagore Castle down to Doolin beach to watch the sunset or along the coast walkway to Cliffs of Moher.
What makes this Cottage unique
Situated on a quiet road, ideal for walking or cycling, yet only 10 to 15 min walk to restaurants, pubs and shops

This was a truly fabulous find! Ann was brilliant and we could not have asked for more! The property was clean, spacious, comfortable and extremely well equipped with all appliances working well! The area was great to explore, notably our boat trip to the Aran Islands, our walk along the cliffs of Moher and our trip across to Killrush where we went dolphin watching. We had a truly brilliant week and appreciate Ann’s hard work in ensuring the best for her guests.
A wonderful home for our family vacation in West Clare!
"Gorsehill" surpassed our expectations. It is light, airy, and spacious, and in a lovely setting with views of the Aran Islands and Connemara. We especially enjoyed watching the sunsets from the terrace on the hill in the back yard, and our bovine friends in the pasture next door. The house is in excellent condition, equipped with anything one might need, and beyond. Ann even stocked the frig and larder with staples before our arrival, including smoked salmon and an apple pie. She is a welcoming and gracious host, with a comfortable and charming home. My daughter-in-law said it best on our last morning: "I love this house. I'm really going to miss this place."
more than perfect...
We were four adults and experienced plenty space, great views, great comfort, what not?
Ann provides basic needs for a first coffee (with fresh apple pie) and breakfast, and dont't bother to bring commodities like salt/pepper/oil/sugar etc.
Only the cliffs stayed hidden in the mist, but that wasn't Ann's fault, I guess!
Fabulous House & Fantastic Location!
Outstanding stay near Cliffs of Moher in a wonderful house situated on a large property with its own little creek, a veritable "nature preserve." Centrally located to many sites from The Burren to Limerick (car required). Ann was very accommodating and a wonderful host. We would definitely love to come back on our next trip to Ireland!

An amazing and beautiful place!
From our arrival when we were greeted with a cup of tea and freshly baked apple tart we didn't find a single thing that disappointed!
The house was beautifully located with everything we needed including toiletries and condiments.
The sun was shining at some point most days in our week long visit.
There was lots to see on our "doorstep" including The Burren, the Aran islands and lots of beautiful towns like Ennis which we visited for the Fleadh.
We were out every day walking and sightseeing by car but it was always a pleasure to return to this wonderful property!
Ann thank you so much!
Wonderful house and great location
We've stayed in lots of holiday homes over the years and this was the best. Fabulous location with great views, beautiful gardens and a great house. Comfortable and so well equipped and the welcome from Ann was great - apple pie and supplies to start off our stay without needing to find a shop straight away. Great for exploring the Burren and visiting the beaches of Fanore and Lahinch. And evenings up on the top floor or on the bench in the garden watching the sun set over the Aran Islands and watching the hanging views of Connemara mountains will never be forgotten. Hope to be back here soon!
Thanks Fiona, glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you back again some day. Give my regards to your family.
