About Sue Springbett
Hi we are Bob and Sue and we have lived in Milford for 25yrs. Our house and studio, we think, is in an idyllic spot. We have enjoyed bringing our children up here, our son Tom now lives in Oxford and is a rowing/sports coach, he enjoys cycling and surfing. Our daughter Isabella is at university in Oxford and is a mean netball player. We are always busy, I am a fitness colour consultant and Bob is involved with Hurst Castle. We both enjoy walking, cycling and the village events i.e music and food festivals, local pubs and resturants. We all like to travel and love the warm weather, we tend to go to Europe for some sun but always out of season as we have everything here within walking distance.
Sue Springbett purchased this Apartment in 1997
Why Sue Springbett chose Milford on Sea
The area offers so much we have are own village green, (Local events) butchers, deli, grocers, hairdressers, beautician not to mention a variety of pubs, restuarants, cafes and the beach. Keyhaven has its own quay where you can launch your boat and take a ferry to Hurst castle or Yarmouth, IOW, when in season. We have the marshes which is great for bird watchers, artists and walkers alike. There are plenty of walks and things to do in Milford. In the area we are 20 mins from the New Forest and the main Brockenhurst Train Station. We are only 35mins from Bournemouth which boast a lively main town with shops theatres nightclubs and resturants galore. As well as a long golden sandy beach. We love people staying in our studio so they also can enjoy the fantastic facilities Milford has to offer. The studio offers light and airy accommodation with a feeling of tranquillity, a perfect base all on ground level.
What makes this Apartment unique
From Beaches studio we enjoy a lovley outlook of the shingle bank and the Isle of Wight, we are south facing and this is an excellent base all on ground level. We are situated within walking distance of all the facilities that Milford has to offer. If you fancy a pub meal and a few drinks- no taxis needed here. You may like to pick up fish and chips, and sit on the beach of an evening and watch the sunset go down and just meander back. Or get dressed up and visit some of are nice resturants and walk back. Or simply stay in and enjoy a takeaway and sip wine on your patio. We offer off road parking outside the studio and arrangements can be made on request to collect and return from Brockenhurst or local train stations.

Fabulous, relaxing stay at this little studio.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beaches. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and cosy. Would certainly come back to Sue and Bob’s lovely retreat. Milford on Sea is such a wonderful part of this world.
A lovely relaxing break
The Beach Studio was very clean and well presented, everything two people needed. Very warm welcome. The scones and jam were a pleasant surprise.
Overall everything as described on the website, made it a very enjoyable holiday. .
So glad you enjoyed your stay with us, we hope to see you again:)
Does exactly what it says on the tin.
A perfect studio, in a perfect village.
We were greeted by Sue on arrival and shown where would be our home for the next 7 days. Fresh scones, cream butter, along with milk, tea and coffee was a very pleasant surprise.
The studio is an ideal place for two people. It was spotlessly clean, and has everything you need for your stay. It has one of the comfiest beds we’ve ever slept in and a fantastic shower. There’s also a great little private patio to unwind on!
It’s location could not be better. A five to ten minute walk and you’re in the village centre. This has everything you need. Pubs, eat in restaurants or takeaway. A fantastic fish and chip shop, a couple of convenience stores.
You can either walk or around a five minute drive you are at the pebbled beach. We discovered an hours taster lesson in kayaking in nearby Keyhaven. They also do paddle boarding, but you are advised to book.
The studio is a perfect place for exploring the New Forest and surrounding area. We were blessed with perfect weather all week, and struggled to fit in all we wanted to do in a week.
Sue and Bob are such lovely welcoming people. If we come back to this beautiful part of the country in the future, there’s only one place we would stay. 10/10 does not do it justice.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. You are welcome back any time.
Beautiful studio apartment in a relaxing and peaceful setting
The Beaches studio is small but perfectly formed to provide everything that you would need to enjoy a marvellously relaxing holiday. Sue and Bob were very welcoming and helpful, providing us with good information about the local area. We were also especially thankful for the fan they provided to us during the exceptionally hot weather. Milford on Sea is an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area allowing easy access to Lymington, Christchurch, the Isle of Wight and the New Forest. Milford itself also has a very nice community feel about the place and there is a very good choice of eateries and cafes for a village of it's size. We would have no hesitation in recommending both the Beaches and Milford to anyone.
So glad you enjoyed your stay in Beaches Studio and thank you to you both for looking after it so well. We both look forward to seeing you again.
A lovely studio in a great location.
We had a very comfortable and enjoyable week. The Studio had everything we needed and the village was a perfect base for exploring the New Forest. Would highly recommend it .
So glad you enjoyed your stay, we will look forward to seeing you both again.
Accommodation far to small. TV poor. Patio area small with no views.
Hello Terry and Jen, We understood you enjoyed your stay with us, so we are surprised at your comments. However, I do appreciate any feedback, I cannot change the view of the shingle bank and the vast sky’s, but I can look at the size of the television . So thank you.

In the centre of the village is a traditional village green. Surrounding the green you will find a launderette, 2 small supermarkets, butchers (famous for his sausages) hairdressers, beauticians, fish and chip shop (very tasty) Indian restaurant- takeaways. Pizza/Bistro/ fish and Thai restaurants. On the sea front we have the marine cafe- restaurant/bistro and terrace with panoramic sea views to Hurst Castle and the Needles - definitely worth a visit. Swimming is safe from the beach and near the shingle bank wind and kite surfing is enjoyed. Barton-On-Sea is just a couple of miles along the coast where hand gliders can be watched jumping from the cliff top. Bike hire is also available in the village and there are many places you can cycle to; a favourite is Lymington along the old roman road or round the salt pans.
