Ask a questionAbout Michele Eagle
Michèle & Steve Eagle. Originally from England, we moved to the Lot area in 2002, immediately putting our skills into use developing and restoring the property and gite and creating a garden. Steve has a business restoring old stone propertiesI and Michèle is a registered well being massage therapist with a treatment room on site.
Why Michele Eagle chose Castelnau-Montratier-Sainte-Alauzie
Having lived in a busy English city, we love the peace, tranquility and above all the space of living in this part of France. The climate is a big bonus, with long hot summers and short winters where you can still see the sun even when it's cold. We love this area as it is so secluded, surrounded by woodland, rolling countryside, vineyards and amazing wildlife. Yet, it is only 7 mins drive from a pretty hilltop village with all the amenities you need and with friendly people. Cahors and other places of historical interest and beauty are all within easy reach.
What makes this cottage unique
We searched all over the Lot and even into the Dordogne until we found this place. But when we came here we fell in love with it: the pretty traditional stone buildings, the stunning view and its wonderful position, nestled into a south facing wooded hilltop. This is a perfect spot for nature lovers and those like us, who just like to get away from it all but near enough to the local vineyard to top up on the fantastically priced local wine. While you are here why not benefit from a relaxing massage on site from the owner who is a qualified well being massage therapist.
