About Trevor Hayne
With our own holidays in mind, we set about converting an old hay barn into a small self contained maisonette that was totally suitable for just two people. We wanted peace, tranquillity and the genuine pace of French country life with the only sound being song birds. We also like the occasional glass of wine accompanied by good food all within five minutes drive. We also like to cycle, walk and play golf. Fishing in the nearby River Boutonne is extremely relaxing. If that sounds like you, we are confident that Le Studio will not let you down.

Why Trevor Hayne chose Coivert
The Charente Maritime is somewhat unique inasmuch that it has its own micro-climate and boasts the highest number of sunshine hours on the west coast of France and with sunshine being toward the top of our list of ''must haves'', this seemed to be the ideal area to not only spend our family holidays, but also our future retirement. We have been blessed with quite wonderful neighbours who are always most welcoming - not just to us but also our guests and they readily acknowledge our financial importance to the area. Access is quite straightforward and fairly easy with numerous ferry routes from the UK and quality roads that we can only dream about here. The nearest airport would be La Rochelle which is less than an hours drive away, with Poitiers, Bordeaux and Bergerac being options.
What makes this Cottage unique
Le Studio has been converted into a single bedroom maisonette that is ideal for two people. All rooms have open beamed ceilings - even the bathroom with local Charentaise stonework being exposed wherever possible. Furniture is predominantly pine and there is even a pine rocking chair in the lounge for additional comfort. A door opens out from the bedroom onto the terrace where you will enjoy quite wonderful views of the countryside whilst also enjoying a glass of your own particular favourite tipple or just topping up the suntan. The village itself is very quiet and many of our customers comment on how peaceful the cottage and area is. Bicycles are provided for those wishing to explore the area with a few watering holes nearby for those who develop a thirst along the way.
