A Victorian Brick and Flint Stable Block converted into a two bedroom luxury holiday cottage in the heart of the Meon Valley and within the South Downs National Park. The Stables have been sympathetically converted and retain the high ceiling and wooden beams in the main living area. PLEASE NOTE WHEN WORKING OUT RATES - A 2 NIGHT STAY IS 50% of weekly rate - 3 N 60% -4N 70% not as OD are working it out

About Victoria Cobden

Westbury Manor Stables are owned by Simon and Victoria Cobden. They live a couple of hundred yards from the Stables so are available to answer any queries you may have whilst you are on holiday. Simon is a farmer whilst Victoria helps on the farm and looks after their two children and The Stables

Why Victoria Cobden chose West Meon

Westbury Manor Farm was bought by Mr and Mrs Cobden snr in 1973 and the family have lived there ever since. The Stables are owned by their eldest son Simon and his wife Victoria - they were converted from stables to a luxury holiday cottage in 2012. It is lovely to live on a farm in a rural setting but also have all the amenities you could possibly need just a few miles away.

What makes this cottage unique

The Stables are on the edge of a working farm and whilst guests must be aware farms can be dangerous places due to tractors and machinery, there is the opportunity to see newborn lambs and calves at certain times of the year. Lovely walking area within the South Downs National Park. The Stables have been converted to a luxury standard but retain the character of the Victorian building

Notes on accommodation: All three TVs have Freeview providing a large number of Channels. WIFI now available. One well behaved dog will be welcome although only in the main living area, not upstairs or in the master bedroom and the dog must not be left unattended in the cottage. unfortunately cats are not allowed. Complimentary toiletries and a welcome pack will be provided. Outside: Courtyard style outdoor space. Shed for bikes/tack . Stables available if you wish to bring your horse! Tumble dryer in shed. Gas BBQ Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels and linen included. Also change of linen included. Cottage cleaned once during the week Other: At the top of the stairs there is a lovely old Oak Settle and some books to allow for a quiet reading area, also some childrens toys/puzzles for our younger guests

Excellent cottage

Perfect two night break in this lovely accommodation. We were able to arrive early on the Friday and leave later on the Sunday which made the weekend even more relaxing.

Cottage was very comfortable and warm. Well equipped with everything you need.

Local pub was a short walk away and the food was excellent.

Lovely cottage in a lovely village

Lovely cottage ideal for exploring the South Downs way and Winchester. Great welcome pack of food and wine. No garden but a courtyard for sitting out in. You are surrounded by farm buildings but that was no problem for us. The owners were all very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for a peaceful getaway

Beautiful Cottage in the heart of the country!

What an amazing little treasure of a place. From the warm welcome from Victoria and her family; with the welcome cakes and being shown around the farm meeting the new lambs and calves, to the very comfortable stay in the cottage itself. A perfect place for us as a family to relax and attend a local wedding. The cottage is very spacious with everything you need and in a great location for walks and a small walk to the lovely local pub The Thomas Lord. A Wonderful place that I would highly recommend.

Great little cottage in heart of South Downs

We (2 adults, 1 5 year old) stayed here for 5 days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Victoria was really helpful throughout the booking and checking in / checking out process. The cottage is a converted barn in a working farm (which makes it quite nice for children as they can see the farm animals). When we arrived (quite late) we had a lovely food "hamper" waiting for us, which was a nice surprise. The cottage is clean and has everything you need. It's also very warm (which was great after a day out walking in the rain!).

There plenty of nature reserves to go walking - would definitely recommend Old Winchester Hill and West Meon Valley Trail. There's a Waitrose in Petersfield if you want to get groceries and plenty of pubs within few minutes driving.

Changeover day is Friday for weekend and week bookings. Midweek bookings are also available - Monday to Friday.

3 night breaks - 60% of cost
