About Clare Graham
I have extensive and international training in the hotel and catering industry and am particular about what I would like to have when I stay away. We try very hard to achieve this for our guests and have made our properties comfortable, clean and homely, to meet your every need when on holiday.
Clare Graham purchased this Cottage in 1993
Why Clare Graham chose Brecon
Brecon is a friendly rural area but within the hour we can be in the city, it is incredibly peaceful and we have thoroughly enjoyed living here for many years. We are 7 minutes from Pen-y-Fan the highest peak in South Wales and minutes from the waterfall walks . After a days activity it is perfect to flop into the pool and enjoy our night sky . We have night sky accreditation and are very proud of this .
What makes this Cottage unique
The semi detached cottage is a great place to base yourself and allows our guests to explore the area ,then come home to a swim in the heated pool or warm fire from the wood burner . The house is large enough to accommodate an entire family but small enough to retain its country charm with a log fire and very comfy seating area in the living room. The heated pool is fantastic for children, families and couples alike. The views and spectacular and we cannot recommend the fresh air and our dark skies enough!

We have returned from our 2 night break, the cottage was perfect and the hot tub/ pool was amazing it’s much bigger than we thought. Clare and Andy were very helpful, the cake on arrival was delicious, we would recommend this property to anyone looking for a get away, we are already planning when we can book to stay again, Thankyou again Clare and Andy and your son for your help.
Our stay in August 2019
The property was exactly as described. Clare was very helpful and responsive but also respected our privacy - a perfect host! The welcome treats were both a nice touch and useful. The house is a great base for exploring the Brecons and we did some fantastic walks. Thank you Clare, we look forward to returning at some point.
Great place to explore the delights of the Brecon Beacons
Just off a main road, close to Brecon, with Pen y Fan nearby, this is an ideal location from which to explore the Beacons. The house is comfortable with good kitchen, three bedrooms, lounge and separate dining room and downstairs loo. The hot tub, gym and space to eat alfresco are the special qualities for this property. The views of the hills are breathtaking, particularly from two of the bedrooms. Clare, the owner, was friendly and helpful, and swift to respond to enquiries. We had a very enjoyable holiday, finding it a good base and a relaxing place to which to return at the end of the day.
Great location and accommodation
Fantastic property and friendly owners. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Ideally situated for some lovely walks. Views were lovely. Jacuzzi pool was a real bonus - kids loved it.
The waterfalls walk was beautiful and well worth a visit. Loved the homemade cake - thanks Clare & family. Will definitely return in the future. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
Such a lovely family, so glad you made the waterfall walk , and hope you conquer pen y fan next time.it is difficult to fit everything in to your holiday.
Thank you for leaving the cottage so immaculate and I really look forward to welcoming you again, with a lemon drizzle cake next time!
A lovely home from home for a short family getaway
We had a lovely 2-night early Spring break at this property. We wanted for nothing - the welcome pack of groceries (and cake!) was comprehensive, there were towels galore - even in the gym for use in the steam room - there was plenty of fuel for my wife to enjoy making a fire, and the accommodation was lovely. My daughter particularly enjoyed the hot tub, even though the air temperature didn't get above 8 degrees!
We're already working out when we might return! Thank you to Clare and family for making us so welcome.
An absolute pleasure to welcome this family of three generations. To walk pen y fan then have a dip in the hot tub, currently at 38 degrees is the best . The wood burner is an added bonus and we don’t charge extra for the wood, we really do want our guests to enjoy themselves.
I really look forward to welcoming this family again soon.
Amazing 2 night stay in this beautiful cottage. Would definitely recommend for couples or a family.
Will be returning in the future.
So glad you enjoyed your break , good to take time out and look at the stars .....from the heated swim spa....giant hot tub.
Look forward to seeing your group again, a pleasure to have you to stay.
