Great location, very comfortable cottage and really lovely owners who couldn’t be more helpful
Fantastic few days, cottage is well equipped and owners couldn’t be more helpful
Thank you so much for your lovely review. I am glad that you had a good time despite the weather.
Perfect location for walking
Had a great week exploring the area.
Thank you for your review. Delighted that you enjoyed your week with us exploring north Pembrokeshire.
A wonderful character cottage in peaceful surroundings
We had a very enjoyable stay and explored the area by car. The cottage is well equipped and generally comfortable we would recommend it for couples who like nature and wonderful views and big skies. We were sorry to leave.
If heaven had a place on earth
The only thing I didn't enjoy about this holiday was going home!
We had such a relaxing week. It was such a lovely clean and well presented cottage, everything you need right at your fingertips. And the homemade bread when we arrived was such a treat.
This was our first time in Pembrokeshire and it's a beautiful place, we did lots of touring around and I have to say that north Pembrokeshire was by far our favourite, the hidden gems of beaches that we practically had to ourselves were stunning, you could easily forget you were in the uk. Our dogs favourite beach was Newport sands (dog friendly all year round) purely as it was about 1 1/2 miles long and they could have a good romp. This was about a 10 minute drive. There are a couple of beaches within walking distance also, we walked through a wooded area at the bottom of the road to a waterfall and then onto a secluded beach, we then walked along the coastal path to another beach, which seemed more popular, our dogs made many friends there! It was always lovely to come home, cook supper and relax with the wonderful views. And how lovely to have total darkness at night, no annoying street lights.
If you want to have the best fish and chips ever, go to Hooked in Fishguard town, follow this by a wonderful harbour walk at sunset.
We felt so at home here, even the dogs did that our black lab chased Charlie the owners dog as he thought he was on his land!
Thank you for having us and we hope your boys did well in Poole.
Thank you so much for such a lovely review. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us, your dogs fitted in so well to rural Pembrokeshire, I think Charlie enjoyed the company. Hope to see you again. The boys did well in Poole, Thanks for asking, off to Ireland rowing tomorrow.
Lovely peaceful cottage with breathtaking views
We had a lovely week exploring the local area. There are beautiful coves to relax in with kiyaking places to launch from. The cliff top walks were spectacular, especially around Dinas Island. Of an evening, enjoy the view from the cottage garden over dinner, and do some star gazing. The cottage is very comfortable with all that you could need including a TV, which you don't!
Thanks for the lovely review. Its great that you didn't feel the need to go that far out of Dinas. Who needs a telly when We have the stars.
What a wonderful place to stay. Perfect views perfect place perfect host. Perfect welcome.
We arrived early to what can we can only describe idilic place. Martha Mark and Charlie gave us a very warm welcome and delicious loaf of home made bread. Charlie (the dog) paid us regular welcome visits but never ventured inside without being asked but how can you refuse such a loveable character.
Nothing was missing and every eventually catered for. The view are outstanding as is the care and attention to detail.
Would highly recommend this cottage to any couples wanting a quiet and peaceful holiday. Plenty to do around and about aNd location is ideal for visiting anywhere in Pembrokeshire
Thank you for you review. It was a pleasure to have you staying and I am delighted that you found The Carthouse a good base to explore Pembrokeshire.
Thanks for Charlies review. I think its his first.
Dinas has 2 local shops that sell most things We also have 2 pubs both of which serve food.
The nearby town of Newport is great for eating out or takeaways.
