A large townhouse full of character and charm. Private parking in the drive, secluded south facing gardens, a glass house for al-fresco dining on cooler evenings. The property sleeps up to 12 people - 2 double rooms (2 en-suite), 1 room with bunk beds, 1 twin room and 2 family bathrooms. 1 twin bedroom on ground floor and bathroom - suitable for guests with mobility problems. There is a spacious lounge with woodburning stove, a large dining room with original stripped floorboards with doors leading out onto the upper decking and into the garden. Big kitchen with range cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave etc. Sunny south facing decking perfect for alfresco dining. Falmouth is a good base in which to explore Cornwall. Less that 10min walk and you'll find yourself on the bustling quayside surrounded by an interesting selection of independent shops and a wonderful choice of fabulous restaurants serving fresh seafood, friendly pubs and lots of art galleries & cafes. The lane to the side of the house leads you to Swanpool beach just 15mins walk away - great for a quick swim before breakfast. Please note, for parents of toddlers there are no stair gates in the house, there are steps on the decking & a wood burning stove.

Wonderful property and owner

We were really impressed with the house itself. It had been recently refurbished and was beautifully decorated and very comfortable creating a real home from home feel. We were 8 adults and 3 children staying for a perfect heat wave week in Falmouth and found the property to be perfectly situated between the beaches and the harbour etc. The beautiful gardens with tropical planting, BBQ and glasshouse room were a perfect way to relax in the heat in the days and evenings. We especially enjoyed the amount of space with large lounge, dining and kitchen spaces it made 11 people in one house very manageable. Sharon (owner) was really helpful and attentive with advice or just checking in etc. We would definitely consider renting again after our experience this time.

Fantastic holiday home

Superb house - thoroughly enjoyed by all - party of 9 ranged from 21 - 85 years old. House is spotless and tastefully decorated. Plenty of room for everyone. Communication with Sharon was excellent. Perfect location to explore Falmouth and surrounding area. Excellent day at Helford on a hired motor boat and visiting the seal sanctuary at Gweeb. Won the pub quiz at 'The Front' at Falmouth. Lovely coastal walk to Maenport - awarded with a pint in 'The Cove'. Perfect holiday.

A must rent! Absolutely splendid holiday

Fabulous experience from start to finish. We will be back....I hope! What we weren't prepared for was the warm and welcoming nature and how very comfortable we would be. The house is beautiful and tastefully decorated. It is situated brilliantly for accessing all the areas that tourists want to see which means you don't have to rely on public transport or taxis all the time. We have previously stayed in many 5 star hotels around the world, particularly in the far east and middle east and this lovely property stands up to any of them. I cannot recommend this house highly enough. We were a party of 10 people and none of us could find anything wrong with the house. We all agreed this is so far the best holiday we have ever been on and we would all love to return to Falmouth very soon.

Great family house

From the minute we arrived ,it felt like home. We were a family wanting to spend Christmas together. 11 people ,4 generations ages from 8 to 93 years. There was plenty of room for us all to spend time together,or do our own thing. The property was immaculate and very cosy and warm . Sharon was great she made sure all was well and checked that we had settled in OK. The house was in a great position for beaches and the town . I would not hesitate to recommend it to friends

Spacious family home in an ideal location.

We stayed for New year and although the weather could have been better we had a very enjoyable stay. There were two families, my mom and 3 dogs staying at the property and because of the weather we spent more time inside than we intended, having said this there was more than enough space for everyone. Every room is well equipped with everything you need and many extras.The bedrooms are very comfortable and bathrooms very modern. The property is not really missing anything at all. Falmouth has some lovely shops, restaurants and pubs. The Quayside Inn was our favourite. We made use of the local Taxi companies because of the rain but it was in easy walking distance otherwise. £3 one way for a normal Taxi, but they do have a mini bus for more passengers. Sharon was very quick to respond to any queries that we had and was extremely helpful throughout. I would definitely rent this property again if we were to return to Falmouth

Everything we could have wanted and more.

8 friends, 2 children and a dog stayed at Falmouth Townhouse for a week and had a great stay. Weather wasnt great but the house had everything we needed for the rainy and sunny days. A great garden perfect for a sunny evenings BBQ, and the 'outhouse' was great for when it got chilly. All the rooms were lovely in the house, it didnt matter which room you stayed in, they were all clean, very comfortable and all very well decorated. The location of the house is perfect, we hardly used the cars apart for long days out. There are 2 great beaches within 10 minutes walking distance and the town is also a 10/15 minute walk (slightly longer coming back up the hill!) Sharon provided all the information we needed on where to go, where to walk the dog, where to eat and useful hints and tips. We would definitely recommend the property to anyone, any time of the year.

Home from home

A wonderfully comfortable house, spacious and full of charming personal touches. We were here for a special wedding and it accommodated our extended family, including one year old twins, beautifully. We would definitely recommend this house as an outstanding holiday base. Now all you need is the weather!

Fantastic family holiday rental

We were all really pleased on arrival the house was fantastic, even better than the pictures!! Our group of 12 was made up of 3 generations from 18 to 80 years of age! The house catered for everyone, lovely ground floor bedrm and Bathrm and very luxurious upstairs rms!! We had great weather so made good use of the garden and really enjoyed the bbq and glasshouse!! Falmouth had lots to do and some lovely pubs and restaurants and best of all was only a short walk away.

Second stay here, cannot wait to stay again!!

Just finished our second stay at Sixteen Falmouth, and once again we were blown away but just how delightful this house is! Sharon & Justin really put a lot of love into this house, and it shows, so well maintained and cared for, and the decor really is of a 5* standard. Every bedroom is of such a high standard, my fiancée and I stayed in the king sized room, and it's the best weeks sleep we've had in years, such a comfy bed. There's enough bathrooms in the house for every bedroom, so no fighting for the showers in the morning. Very large kitchen, dining room and lounge, great for family time and meals. The newly added summer house is a great addition, we spent a couple of our evenings out here, even while it was raining, the candles and paraffin lamps making it very cosy and warm! There's parking for 3-4 cars in the private drive, which is easier to back into instead of reversing out onto Western Terrace, which also has ample free parking. It's probably about a 15 walk into the centre of Falmouth, all downhill, where there are lots of little pubs and restaurants, I highly recommend 'Warehouse', which was so good we went 2 nights running. It's probably about 20-25 minutes walk up the hill back to the house, but that's great for working off the dinner. My family and I have stayed here twice now, and we cannot wait to book again. Sharon really goes all out to provide the perfect home from home experience, the cream teas on arrival are a must. Sharon really goes the extra mile to make sure you have the best possible stay. I cannot talk this house or the owners up highly enough, it is the perfect place for that special family holiday and making plenty of happy memories.

Beautiful Holiday Home, Can't Wait To Book Again!

This was our second stay at this amazing holiday home, and once again it's the perfect holiday home. Sharon and Justin maintain this home to such a high quality standard, you're spoilt with every room in the house. Each bedroom is delightful and decorated to such a high standard. The kitchen is great and offers everything you'd need. Large spacious lounge and dining room. The newly added summer house is a great addition, and we spent a good few evenings out there, even when it was raining. Sharon really makes sure you're well looked after, and goes out her way to make sure you feel at home, it's the little things that make a big difference and it's why we've stayed twice and are already planning our next visit! For a great bite to eat in Falmouth, 'Warehouse' is highly recommended, it's hidden away so you could easily miss it, but it's totally worth the walk, the food is so good we went there 2 nights running. I cannot recommend staying at 16 Falmouth highly enough, you'll want to visit again and again.
