Great place to be

Very nice appartement, everything you need is there. Even a washing machine, sun umbrellas, grill etc. Wonderful swimming pool and view to the sea. A little bit of heaven I would say.

First Gozo visit

Impressive location in old fort. Very quiet as hardly anyone around in Feb. Excellent appartment with good heating,lighting. Needs some comfy arm chairs for us older folk as only one settee. Mike not there when we arrived, did not get our text and but arrived around 30minues after we managed to call him. Some issue getting a key but then all ok. He had to spend some time getting TV to work but then fine. Loved the terrace, we ate breakfast out every day in glorious sunshine.

A part la 2ème clé qui ne fonctionne pas bie et la machine à café que je n'ai pu utiliser mais cela n'est pas très grave vu le séjour formidable que nous avons passé Je conseille à tous cet appart et cet endroit fabuleux et les propiétaires sont des gens charmants et efficacces ainsi que Mike Merci, Merci Maggy

Tolle Location mit phantastischem Blick

Danke an unsere Gastgeber und an Mike, der uns bei Ankunft alles gut erklärt hat und nützliche Tips parat hatte. Die Anlage und der Blick von der Terrasse übertrafen die Fotos,eine tolle Anlage,die wir uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen können!

Gozo im Oktober

Die Wohnung befindet sich in einem alten Fort und der Eingang wirkt ein wenig seltsam. Aber die Wohnung, der Pool und der Ausblick sind unglaublich. Wir wurden nett von Mike in Empfang genommen, alles hat super geklappt. Würden die Wohnung immer wieder buchen !

Great location with amazing views

The property had everything we needed. The air conditioning was particularly welcomed, and the large terrace was great. It is situated very close to the pool, which our kids loved. There is a local shop in walking distance, and a number of places to eat nearby at Mgarr habour. Our favourite place to eat at Mgarr habour was One 80, it had such amazing views of the habour and the food was really good. We also tried La Tona and Sammy's which were both great too. When we had access to a car, we also tried some of the restaurants in Xlendi as it has a number of really nice restaurants right by the waterside. We took a book trip from Mgarr Harbour to Comino, which was a really was really easy to do without a car. We also hired a car for a few days in order to be able to view the main parts of Gozo, including Victoria, Xlendi, Marsalform Bay, Ramla Bay and San Lawrenz. We stayed for 10 days and felt this was a perfect amount of time.

Brilliant location, well equipped apartment, friendly and helpful people

The location of this apartment is second to none that I have experienced. The views from the apartment are stunning. The environment is quite and relaxed (bear in mind we stayed in February which is not high season). The apartment is well equipped with everything you would need for a self catering holiday. The pace of life on Gozo is relaxed and friendly. Not a holiday for those looking for night life, but exactly what we wanted. Highly recommended. It is one holiday location and apartment that we would definitely return to.

Well equipped, clean apartment with fabulous views.

We have stayed in Gozo several times and this was the best equipped apartment we have stayed in. We were not sure about the location before our stay but it turned out to have the best of both worlds, close to village life but also just a short walk to the more touristy amenities at Mgarr. We stayed at the end of the season and it was very quiet, which suited us. It will be at the top of our list when we next decide to return.

Excellent views from your breakfast table.

We live in the North of the United States and decided to take our Winter Vacation at Fort Chambray in Gozo instead of our usual Florida. We booked the apartment for 4 months. We were presented with a nice clean and fully equipped apartment with very good WiFi which never let us down, and a Smart TV allowing us to watch Netflix, You Tube and many other apps. during our stay. Life was very calming which is exactly what we were looking for. However, even in January there were many nice restaurants to visit in the near vicinity, and more opened up during the coming months. The owner who lives and works in London was only a stones throw away from the computer and would get back to us within 30 minutes or so. There was also a nearby maintenance man although the owner called up his parents who are local and covered any concerns we had, although they were few. I have already recommended this property to friends who visited us there and they immediately booked for a month in 2019. The Fort overlooks Mgarr Harbour where there are many excellent restaurants also the Gozo Ferry which takes you to the main island of Malta 20 minutes away, this is 5 minutes walk down the road. The same 5 minutes will take you to the bus stop that will take you to many parts of the 5 mile by 8 mile island and 10 minutes away from Victoria the Capital of Gozo where you will find many more exciting restaurants, our favourite were in the square of San Gorg, with the church as the backdrop. If you are going by car it is best to locate the car park in the town as street parking is limited, more so before one o'clock in the afternoon. Our favourite restaurant in walking distance of the Fort was Ta' Tona, which served a wide range of food, but seafood and especially the fish being it signature. We can recommend this apartment and it's owners to you as we found it, for a short or long stay, as excellent in all aspects.

Erholsamer Aufenthalt in einem tollen Appartement

Das Appartement ist sehr schön und toll eingerichtet. Man hat alle Annehmlichkeiten. Die Terasse hat eine super Größe und lädt zu schönen erholsamen Abenden ein. Great location, great apartment.

We stayed here from 8 November until 17 November 2016. There were only two of us so we had oodles of room. The apartment is very comfortable and the terrace is wonderful. As far as we were concerned everything we wanted was available. Comfortable beds, all sorts of satellite TV and an excellent WiFi. The kitchen has a washing machine and a dishwasher as well as a good cooking top and oven. The terrace has excellent seating and lounging and a great BBQ. In short we had a lovely comfortable holiday. Oh, for those who want to swim, the pool is just a few steps away and has areas for kids as well. The views across the channel and Comino are beautiful. Nothing is far away on Gozo and there is a supermarket nearby. We will certainly come here again and can recommend it to anyone.

Lovely apartment, great location, friendly owners

This was our second stay in this lovely apartment at Fort Chambray. As before, the owners were friendly, efficient and communicative from the outset of booking to our arrival and afterwards. Fort Chambray was a fantastic find for us, it is perfectly positioned overlooking the Gozo channel and is nicely quiet enough to be relaxing. The pool area is clean and spacious. The apartment is of high quality and is one of few with aircon. It's enviable position with a terrace overlooking the pool is perfect, and it has high quality furniture to use outside. The apartment itself was clean and well maintained with full kitchen should you need it, TV and wifi. The fort feels very safe. I love Gozo, and will definitely return. Thank you Dathan and Bianca.

Second stay!

This was our second stay at Dathan's apartment in the stunning Fort Chambray. Well equipped and spotlessly clean with a view to die for. The booking process is straightforward and Dathan is always on hand for questions. Upon arrival Mike looks after things efficiently and in an always friendly manner. Highly recommended!

Our second fantastic holiday at this apartment

Great family holiday again at Fort Chambray. The apartment was again perfect. Very clean and had all we needed for our 10 day stay (upped from 7 days last year). As we travel with 2 children the apartment is ideally placed looking over the pool. We can either sit in the garden area that gets plenty of sun or go beside the pool with the children. Again Fort Chambray complex was well kept and the 2 pools nice and clean. As this was our second stay in Gozo we now have really got to know this lovely small island. great restaurants and lovely beaches with crystal clear sea water. We spent a couple of days over in Malta a visit to Valletta and Sliema is a must. If your looking for a slow relaxing break then Fort Chambray and Gozo are perfect. The Bowler Family North Wales

Simply stunning!

My wife and I stayed 8 nights in this wonderful apartment. Most of the time it felt like we had the whole of Fort Chambray to ourselves!!. Not a sound to be heard at night..so peaceful. The pool area and the views are quite simply stunning. We had a couple of minor issues that were speedily and very pleasantly resolved by Mike who manages the apartment...( he's a really nice, friendly bloke) It's about a 15 minute comfortable stroll downhill to the harbour where, for such a small place, the restaurants are wonderful, although our favourite (Country Terrace) is above the harbour but still an easy walk. We found the ferry and buses excellent and great value for money and visited both Victoria and Valletta with ease. This was our first time to Gozo and Malta and it certainly won't be our last and we'll be hoping this apartment is available when we do!!!!

Another fabulous stay at Fort Chambray

We stay at this wonderful apartment at Fort Chambray every year and have just returned from a very relaxing week's stay. The apartment maintains its very high standards and we notice improvements every time we visit (this was our third time) The highlight of this apartment is the view from the terrace, something which sets it apart from most of the other apartments at Fort Chambray which don't enjoy a sea view. We will be booking our next stay shortly!

Magical stay on Gozo

If you like a good position, well situated, convenient for harbour and bus route this is the place for you. The property meets and exceeds the description on the web site, it is excellently maintained and the owner was more than helpful with my many e mails and phone calls. The local restaurants in Mgarr provide an array of top nosh, enough for a different one each evening! Would recommend to anyone who wants to try the peace and tranquillity of Gozo, and yet near enough to hop back to Malta on the ferry.

Fort Chambray highlights all these - arguably the most exclusive location on Gozo, tranquil but close to some of the best restaurants on the island. There really is something for everyone here. The area is easily accessible with Malta airport about an hours trip away.

The highlight of this apartment is certainly the 50 square metre private terrace overlooking the main communal pool and enjoying spectacular open views of the Mediterranean Sea. Equipped with external dining facilities, sun loungers and gas bar-b-cue, this terrace is unique as it is the only one overlooking the main pool that is available for holiday lettings.
