About Barry and Christine
Barry and Christine moved to Pembrokeshire in 2000 with their 2 children and 2 cats. They found their perfect home, surrounded by beautiful rural countryside, yet near all beaches and areas of Pembrokeshire. They settled at once and decided to transform the cottage next door from a very basic dwelling, into a cottage for their families and friends to stay in when visiting. Everyone was so enthusiastic about it, that they were encouraged to further upgrade it into a superb 4 star holiday cottage, so that tourists can stay and discover this beautiful part of Wales. From the wonderful comments left by the guests in the visitors book, they made the right choice and welcome all holiday makers, their families and dogs.
Barry and Christine purchased this Cottage in 2000

Lovely quiet location within easy reach of all of Pembrokeshire coastline. Cottage was well equipped, very clean, with many thoughtful touches. The map on the wall was extremely useful. We would happily return again.
Fabulous stay - We will certainly be returning!
Having a much bigger feel than the pictures suggest, the 4 of us loved our all to brief stay at this delightful property.
The kitchen extremely well equipped with everything we could possibly need and the lounge with a large Smart TV so we were able to use our Netflix account when relaxing before bed in the evenings. The wifi & broadband easily fast enough to cope with an HD connection without any buffering.
The master bedroom is much bigger than the picture suggests and has a whole other end with drawers and a small wardrobe and large velux window which offered a very welcome breeze through the night on what were very warm nights during our stay, The owner had also very thoughtfully and kindly put provided a thinner summer duvet making sleep much easier.
We had a lovely stay and will certainly be returning.
A beautiful relaxing break in lovely surroundings
We returned today from our 3 night break at Milton Oak Cottage where time seemed to stand still it was just so peaceful.
This cottage was spotlessly clean and the size and layout was perfect for us (two adults)and our two cockerpoo’s as it had an enclosed patio, which had the sun first thing in the morning for breakfast outside and it was still there when we returned from our exploring by early evening .
We only had two full days so we were away from the cottage during the daytime visiting the lovely dog-friendly beaches and surrounding countryside .
All the excellent reviews I had read prior to arriving were true. The double and two single bedrooms upstairs are sweet and quirky with their little nooks and crannies, picture windows overlooking the field and sloping ceilings (the double was really quite spacious with a sky-light window); the kitchen had everything we needed and more, and the lounge was spacious with two sofas which was a bonus.
The patio was extremely pretty with its hanging baskets and view of the main garden and although we could hear buzzing from the local insects this just added to its charm and reminded us that we were in the heart of the countryside without being bothered by them .
The owners of the cottage , Barry and Christine were most welcoming and helpful and left us a lovely welcome-tray with coffees, wine, chocolates and four of the prettiest eggs I’ve seen in 4 different colours . So nice. Thank-you.
Even if it had rained there are plenty of places to see around and about. Along with plenty of dvd’s and books if you were grounded .
We would highly recommend Milton Oak cottage!
The cottage was a great base to visit the lovely beaches and attractions in the area. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you
Lovely Milton Oak Cottage!
We stayed for a week in May 2019 in Milton Oak Cottage. We found the property to be immaculately clean on arrival, extremely well equipped with everything needed for a week's stay. It was spacious and comfortable. The owners were helpful and accommodating and provided excellent information about the surrounding area and its facilities. The only slight inconvenience was that dogs have to be kept on a lead at all times when outside the property. There was a contained courtyard at the rear of the property where we could allow them off the lead, but we weren't able to use the front lawn as this wasn't contained. However, this didn't have any great impact on our enjoyment of the holiday and we would definitely recommend this cottage and would certainly return!
Great location close to everything
Christine and Barry were great hosts all the way, giving us information about the area and always ready to help. Although they live in the house attached, we rarely saw them and we felt like we were there on our own. We found some fresh eggs and a bottle of wine at our arrival, what a pleasant surprise! The cottage is close to many interesting coastal towns and beaches, and a great base to explore the beautiful Pembroke area.
You will be spoilt for choice in beautiful beaches in Pembrokeshire and miles of cliff walks on the coastal paths. Approximately 10 miles drive are the popular towns of Tenby and Saundersfoot both with pretty Harbours and long sandy beaches. In the other direction is Milford Haven, a working Port, with pleasure boats in the marina. Stackpole estate and Bosherton lily ponds are picturesque National Trust locations. Surfing is fabulous at Freshwater West, Newgale and Whitesands to name but a few.
There is a WW2 Pillbox across the lane from the cottage, although access is awkward.
Car drivers essential.
