Wendy and Adrian are the sort of genuinely warm people who don't get in your way, are laid back but really efficient, and have thought of everything you might need in the cottage, including stuff I haven't even got organised in my own home. The log burner is easy to light (although they'd lit it for us when we arrived), everything works and is beautifully clean, the maps and local information provided is extensive and really useful, the home-made buns and newly-laid eggs left for us were excellent, the bed is comfortable, even the horses are friendly. Wendy had offered to get shopping in for us, which we said we didn't need, but anyway had left a load of basics for us. There are beautiful walks right from the doorstep, and the cottage is right between Caer Caradoc and The Lawley, and only a few minutes drive to Church Stretton, where the most fantastic delicatessen, Van Doesburg's in the High Street, does the best ready-made meals, puddings and cakes, sandwiches, a wonderful selection of cheeses, all excellent quality.
We loved our few days there, and would go back like a shot. Felt sad leaving after only 3 days!
