Beautiful location, two great houses = perfect place for a family gathering!

  • 5 of 5

We rented the two houses for our family who came from Washington State,Charlotte NC and Denver Colorado. We live in Alexandria VA. We are not able to get together very frequently and this combination was perfect for us. The view from the cottage is great - loved the dock, and the shallow water. The dishwasher is so helpful and there are plenty of places to sit outside by the lake. There is a great space for the children to play between the houses . We were treated to a talent show on the tennis court.

Laura is most helpful and very easy to work with. Both houses have a good number of kitchen utensils as well as pots and pans..With children, the washer and dryer was a big help! There was plenty of space for all!

I would highly recommend " Slow down at Glen Lake!" It was great!

Great week on Little Glen Lake.

  • 5 of 5

We had a family reunion in the Glen Lake area, and Laura’s property was one of the locations. We had to divide up because all together there were 31 family members. Slow down @Little Glen was very clean and accommodated 3 pairs of the older generation in the clubhouse plus the cottage had one family with 3 younger children. It was a perfect location, we rented Pontoon boat plus other water toys, and it keep everyone busy doing whatever they wanted to do during the day, perfect location also for sightseeing, close to everything. The tennis court also got a lot of workout. It was so nice to be together during the day and then to have the evenings to yourself. Everyone enjoyed her beautiful property, she really keeps it immaculate. The lake was perfect for the younger generation because the water was swallow enough to let the kids play without worries. A beautiful view of lake and Dunn’s along with great sunsets. We all agree that we will have to come back to Slow down @Little Glen very soon. Thank-you Laura for letting us use your property.

Beautiful and relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

Relaxing is....having breakfast and coffee in the sunroom overlooking the lake with hummingbirds at the feeder. It is also....sitting by a fire watching the sun set over the lake and sand dunes. This property is beautiful and perfectly located. The houses were clean and well kept. The owner was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful week at Little Glen!

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful week at Slow Down at Little Glen. Laura has done a great job renovating both homes. They are comfortable and well stocked with everything you will need. Laura checked in with us to make sure everything was okay and provided contact information when she knew she wouldn't be available. We used the grills and had family dinners on the picnic table. Both houses are a perfect combination of quaint Up North cottages with modern amenities. Families with young children will love the large amount of shallow water off the dock for the kids to play in. You can't go wrong with these houses!

In The Heart of the

Sleeping Bear Dunes. As old as continental ice sheets and as young as the 1970 Establishment Act that set aside the Lakeshore for preservation of the natural resources and for public use. The most prominent features, and those for which the park is named, are the perched dunes above Lake Michigan. These immense sand dunes are “perched” atop the already towering headlands that are glacial moraines. The dune overlooks at the Sleeping Bear, Empire and Pyramid Point bluffs are about 400 feet above Lake Michigan. With miles of Lake Michigan shoreline and numerous inland lakes and streams, the park is wonderfully water oriented.

Although the Lakeshore is long and narrow, it still has the depth for excellent representations of several northern hardwood and conifer forest types, abandoned farm site meadows, wetlands, lakes, streams, and bogs and splendid examples of glacially caused landforms. Whether you are on the sandy bluffs overlooking Lake Michigan, in a canoe on one of the many inland lakes, hiking the myriad of trails through the forest, or visiting the Manitou Islands in Lake Michigan you will have a wonderful opportunity for bird watching, wildlife viewing, and for just enjoying nature at its best.
