Large family villa, close to the beach, with private pool, air con and wifi

This villa is perfect for a family holiday, with plenty of space for everyone. The ´flat´ on the upper floor is also an extra bonus at a small additional cost if needed. With full capacity it sleeps 7 so it would also be perfect for larger group bookings. The property is in an excellent location. It´s a stone´s throw away from the pool, beach and the airport. It is close enough to bars and restaurants(10 min on foot) yet far enough to enjoy the peacefulness and tranquility of the area. There are also some good bus routes available to the larger cities, such as cartagena, murcia and torrevieja. Torrevieja has an excellent waterpark. On the opposite side of the Mar Menor you have La Manga, which is well worth a visit. La Manga is a long strip of land and on one side you have the waters of the Mar Menor and on the other side you have the Mediterrean. There are regular boat taxis from Los Alcazares to La Manga during the summer. There are three supermarkets near the villa, again all within walking distance. The local market is every saturday and is 2 minutes from the villa. It sells local fresh fruit and vegetables, clothes, jewellery etc the Mar Menor ¨little sea¨ is our local beach and it is extremely safe for swimming. Dotted along the beach are a host of chiringuitos (beach bars) which make fresh tapas, serve cold local beer and are oozing with spanish hospitality. 10 minutes away from the villa, there is a ¨strip¨ full of bars and restaurants. It is perfect for nights out and has a huge variety of different food to please the palate of even the fussiest of eaters. If you want something typically spanish you don´t have to look very far as the area has oodles of tapa bars and spanish restaurants at very reasonabe prices.

Great location and property. Jane was great at answering any questions we may have. Kids had a fab time and the Saturday market was great and only down the road. Internet and WiFi was top notch as you can imagine with 4 kids and their phones it was tested to the max. Defo would recommend for family’s and Jane has a great selection of restaurants in the area to visit.

7 day stay- July 2019

Three adults and two children stayed at the villa July 2019. There was plenty of room for all of us and the villa was clean and homely. The pool was just right for us- we didn't even go to the communal pool. It is situated about 10 minutes walk to the sea, 10 minutes to the restaurant/bar area and 5 minutes to three good size supermarkets. From beginning to end Jane was most cooperative and helpful. We will certainly consider booking again if we decide to go to Los Alcazarez again.

Perfect holiday

8 of us stayed at this wonderful villa the beginning of August, myself husband and 4 children stayed in the main villa while my mum and dad had the little apartment space upstairs, it was perfect they got to join in all the fun while having their own privacy. Everything we needed was provided and Jane was very helpful with any queries I had. The pool was the highlight for us,big enough for us all and many hours were spent in it. The location was perfect with a choice of 4 supermarkets only 10 minutes walk and plenty of restaurants and bars all within walking distance. The beach is also only about 15 minutes walk and well worth a visit. We had a very enjoyable stay and will not hesitate to book again 😊

Stayed at the villa so the family could visit a local resident for an 80th birthday celebration. Have visited Los Nerjos before but never so late but the weather was still plenty warm enough for us, and not too many of the local businesses had closed for the winter. Both the private pool and access to the shared communal pool great to use but a little cold, but that did not deter anyone. Would recommend the villa highly and would definately consider again

Lovely villa with fabulous pool

We stayed for 11 nights in July and had a great time in this spacious villa. We particularly loved the large pool which we spent a lot of time in and around. Easy walk to the beach and also the restaurants which meant we hardly used the car. Communication with Jane was excellent and our arrival and departure was made easy. It was a shame we had to leave.

Great Holiday

We have just returned from a fabulous holiday staying at Jane's villa. The villa is located in a beautiful residential area and is within a short walking distance from the shops, restaurants and a local market. We were a family of seven my husband and five teenagers. We all loved the private pool and the outside areas to enjoy the food we had cooked in Jane's well equipped kitchen. This villa had everything you would need to make it your own home for your stay. Would highly recommend staying at Jane's villa.

In need of some TLC

The villa appears very nice to begin with till you begin to see the areas where some TLC is needed. Was planning on self catering but on arrival was told the oven doesnt work very well. There were no sauce pans to cook a meal with, just one or two with no matching lids. Ended up eating out every day using our spending money. The dish washer did not work very well. Toilet door would not close. Struggled to open and close waldrobe in main bedroom. Twin room had no where to store your clothes. The bed in the en-suite room made so much noise when you turned over it would wake you up. The road outside is very busy and finally the tv freeview did not work. Sort all these minor problems out and it would be more pleasent to stay in with a small family. The pool is very nice and private. Living room area very nice too. But be warned the whole area of Los Narejos is covered in dog poo so check your shoes!.

Just returned from a family holiday using Jane's villa. We were 2 families so we rented main house with above apartment. The villa was very clean , has everything you need. Fantastic private and comunial pool. Close to the beach, shops and fabulous restaurants. Would definitely return and recommend others to visit .

Enjoyed a lovely stay at Jane's villa - she was very helpful. Within a 15 minute walk there is the beach, restaurant plaza, tourist train stop, large and small supermarkets and a helpful pharmacy. Highly recommended.

Fantastic villa in great location

This is the second time we have stayed at Jane and jose's lovely villa and they have made it even more special with the addition of a fantastic private pool. It is in an ideal location for all the local bars and restaurants and only a short stroll from the fantastic beaches of the mar menor! We will return and highly recommend the villa as a great place to stay for couples and families alike!

A wonderful villa!

We have just returned from 10 glorious days staying at this lovely villa. We are a family of 6, three generations!! The children 4 year old and 18 months had a great time especially in the pool which was ideal with having a baby pool. The villa is so well equipped it's like home from home!! All we could of wished for and more!

Had an amazing stay here, 4 adults And 2 young children and plenty of space for us all, Jane provided us with everything we could ever need in an already very well equipped villa. Both Jane and José were always on hand should we have needed them (but never did!) And they have a vast local knowledge and recommended great places to eat and visit. the location of the villa is perfect, it's very peaceful but only a short stroll to the beach, markets, supermarkets and the town centre. We had a great stay and we are already looking to come back, maybe even this year! No hesitation in recommending this villa to anyone.

First trip away with baby

We stayed in this lovely Villa for a week during June 2014 and had a great time. It was our first trip away with our 10 month old son so we wanted accommodation that was convenient for the beach but also had a pool and was close to a supermarket. This Villa was perfect for our requirements and in a great location. The pool was amazing, most of the time we were the only people using it. Jane was really helpful and friendly and provided all the things we needed with a small baby. Highly recommended, we will return in 2015.

My name is Jane Murphy. I am from Ireland but have been living in Spain for the last 13 years working as an English teacher. I began coming to this part of Spain when I was 9 or 10 and as a child I fell in love with the area. Who wouldn´t? Sun, sea and more sun! Rare in Ireland. I didn´t only fall in love with the country but also with my husband Jose, who as you are guessing from the name is a local. We live in a nearby village so if there are ever any problems with the house or you need any help or advice we are obviously at hand. I hope you enjoy your stay at the villa, I have no doubt you will. Adios!

Why they chose this property

We decided to buy this villa because of its superb location really. It´s a 10 minute walk to the beach, the area has a variety of restaurants and bars and our villa has access to a shared pool. The pool is only used by a handful of villas and you need a key to enter. Also its so close to the airport that it makes travelling easy and hassle free.

What makes this property unique

The property is close to everything you need. Supermarkets, shops, the local market, the beach, restaurants and bars. Its also close to some beautiful golf courses. For those of you who are a little more active, there are kite surfing and sailing courses available along the beach and some great mountain biking tracks on the area´s only mountain ¨Cabezo Gordo¨ which means fat head!
