Lovely house with a magnificent view

The house is just as atmospheric as the pictures show. It is fully equipped. The garden is spacious and has a beautiful view of the Alps. Sarah is very welcoming and responds quickly to messages. We really enjoyed our holiday in Le petit nid with our family.

Fantastic base to chill or explore

The property was perfect for our purposes and Sarah is the perfect host, always available and willing to help out with any questions. The property location is ideal for just having a few days doing next to nothing in a quiet location with a babbling stream running through the garden providing a relaxing soundtrack. If you want to exhaust yourself cycling and walking, you can equally do that too without having to travel far. We enjoyed exploring the mountains by car and found this to be an ideal, central location. Fantastic place and we may well be back someday!

Very nice place for a cosy retreat

We strongly recommend the Petit Nid. It was ideal for our little board game retreat, very calm surroundings, cosy little wood stove in the living room, kitcheen with everything you need, 4 large bedrooms and 3 fully fonctional bathrooms. The contact with the host Sarah was really easy. And last but definitely not least, Sarah can prepare and deliver homemade dinner at the place. We ordered one for the evening of the day we arrived and it was amazing.

A stunning, larger than expected, yet cosy place to spend a week. A hidden gem.

Sarah is incredibly helpful and very welcoming and has created an oasis of warmth, comfort but homeliness in this delightful chalet. It was everything we hoped it would be with way more besides, to arrive after a long journey to a roaring wood burner...just what was needed. It was ideally situated for us as we were able to try out 3 different ski resorts from this base as it nestles neatly in between them all and the skiing was great, lovely long runs that suited all of us from green to black. We had the pleasure of an evening meal cooked by Sarah, a superb cook...well worth finding an evening (or two) during your stay and booking her to create some simply delicious food. From the minute we drove up to the moment we left this chalet just had us smiling and feeling at home. We will definitely be back.

Superbe séjour dans un très beau chalet idilique

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans ce très joli chalet très spacieux ( bien plus qu’il en a l’air à l’extérieur) La maison est décorée avec beaucoup de goût et quel confort d’avoir 3 salles de bains à disposition. La propriétaire est très sympathique et très discrète mais toujours disponible. Le chalet se trouve vraiment au cal’e dans un écrin de verdure. Il y a même un petit torrent au bout du jardin où les plus téméraires peuvent aller s’y rafraîchir. Nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

Exigence requise

Belle location. Une certaine exigence demandée mais indispensable pour durer. Une base de loisirs idéale à 3 km. Pour les autres centres d intérêts, il faudra faire un peu de route.

Séjour bucolique

Accueil de Sarah très agréable (souriante et discrète).Notre cousinade au Petit nid, a été une réussite. Jolie décoration intérieure, le temps n'a pas permis hélas de pouvoir profiter du jardin et du barbecue, mais une bonne raclette à l'intérieure, a su compenser cette petite frustration météorologique !...Nous garderons un très bon souvenir de ce séjour

Lovely house in a stunning setting

We enjoyed a fantastic two week stay at Le Petit Nid. It's a lovely, very well specced house, in a quiet hamlet in the stunning Maurienne Valley. We woke up every morning to the sun peaking over the mountain tops and to the sound of the crystal clear stream running at the bottom of the garden. The house is very spacious, over three floors, and provided ample room for our family of four + dog. Sarah, the owner, couldn't have been more helpful, especially when she kindly looked after our dog for a day (thank you!). It was a great base for exploring the Alps and is highly recommended.

Geweldig!

Wat hebben we een leuk verblijf gehad! Sarah is een lieve gastvrouw die op de achtergrond aanwezig is. En wat kan ze fantastisch koken! We hebben ons twee keer laten verrassen met een 3-gangen menu en kunnen haar kookkunsten écht aanbevelen! Kortom, het was een leuke vakantie! Bedankt!

Excellent lieu de villégiature

Très bel endroit, au calme, pour poser ses valises. Une ambiance de charme, un équipement complet, qualitatif et confortable. Un accueil chaleureux de la propriétaire Sarah, qui nous a régalé à sa table d'hôtes.

Très bon séjour mais l’accueil n’est pas chaleureux

La maison est tout à fait conforme à la description, propre et cosy, très agréable à vivre ! Les indications sont précises et Sarah est réactive. Cependant, nous avons trouvé l’accueil très froid, et plusieurs questions indiscrètes en amont de la réservation ne nous ont pas mis à l’aise. À noté que les horaires d’arrivée/départ ne sont pas du flexibles, ce qui en temps de Covid avec les restaurants et les activités fermées, n’est pas très plaisant non plus.

Agréable petit nid pour un week end !

Tout était super nous avons passé un très agréable moment dans ce chalet. Le logement était très propre et très agréable pour un week-end en famille, amis. Je le recommande vivement. Peut être un petit bémol quand à la température dans la maison. Les chambres étaient très froides et difficile à chauffer (le chauffage aurait peut être pu être allumé un peu plus en amont de notre arrivée).

Perfect stay - beautiful plave

We stayed at Le Petit Nid in August for a week and it was perfect. Great location, beautiful house and Sarah was absoultely lovely and a brilliant cook who made the best meal of our trip to France!!

Week-end super agréable

Alpine delight

Sarah's welcoming homemade dinner in her beautiful dining room was truly delicious and one of the highlights of our trip to the French Alps. Le Petit Nid is perfect for families, our kids loved to play games by the fireplace. The house is well equipped and very comfortable, it felt like being at home.

Super endroit

Nous étions un groupe de 8 amis et avons passé un très bon weekend. Le logement est très bien aménagé, très propre, et la propriétaire nous a bien accueillis. Les pièces de vie sont conviviales et les 4 chambres très spécieuses. Nous n'avons pas pu profiter ni du jardin ni des environs à cause de la météo. Je recommande vivement ce logement ! En tout cas nous y retournerions volontiers.

Charmant week-end entre amis

Cosy and calm!

Un très agréable séjour dans le chalet de Sarah avec qui nous avons eu des échanges très amicaux. Fonctionnel, chaleureux, très calme et confortable, nos 2 familles avec enfants se sont régalées. Nous recommandons vivement!
