Perfect stay

The property was gorgeous, just a short walk into the centre of Holmfirth and plenty of walks and wilderness from the doorstep

Stunning!

We had a perfect 2 night stay in room with a view. The apartment has everything you need to self cater and Jenny was very welcoming and available if you needed her. The local walks are well worth doing as the views are simply breath taking. We will be definitely returning to this little gem!

Fabulous

Beautiful location, lovely host and wonderful accommodation with fabulous gardens. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking about a short stay... Holmfirth is a fab town in a valley location so most properties will involve going up and down steep hills, including this one. Great location for walks and we were very lucky with the weather in late December! Would consider returning at a warmer time of year to see a different perspective on the surrounding natural landscape.

Stunning apartment, lovely location.

Stayed the weekend for our wedding anniversary. Wonderful apartment with everything we needed for a relaxing break. Lovely views to the garden and hills beyond. Nothing better that sitting on the patio with a glass of wine after a day exploring Holmfirth and the local area. Thanks Jenny, we hope to return soon. Sheena and Mark.

Fabulous accomodation - unreservedly recommended!

We spent two nights at Room with a View - the accommodation was perfect, so well designed and comfortable. The attention to detail was exceptional - and the bathrobes etc. added hotel-like luxuries. The views - day and night - were amazing - it was so tempting just to look out of the windows. Jenny was the perfect hostess. Although she was on hand if needed 'Room with a View' was a most private venue that offers total calm and relaxation.

Gorgeous hidden gem

I booked up for my partner's birthday as a previous property had fallen through, and I am very happy it did to be honest. Such a beautiful little hideaway. Spotlessly clean and spacious self contained apartment attached on to the Owners House with glorious gardens and views. So peaceful, we could have happily stayed here all day enjoying the views and the sunshine. Loved the little touches such as the fresh eggs, bacon and butter as well as the extremely comfy bed and couch. Jenny was the perfect host and we will most certainly be back for another visit very soon.

Fantastic views, perfect location

If you're looking for a quiet place in West Yorkshire then you really don't need to look further than this. The views are excellent and the property is wonderfully cosy. There are plenty of fine walks from the front door, so if you like getting into the countryside then you don't even need to worry about driving anywhere. You might want to consider a car for trips into Holmfirth though. It's not far, but it's not quite a gentle slope back up the hill. The apartment itself is very well equiped, and the grounds are perfect for sitting around and taking in the scenery. The kitchen area isn't the biggest, but it does a job. The bed is big and the shower was just perfect. Jenn was the perfect host (I hope you finally got those plants in the ground!). Highly recommended, and we didn't really want to leave.

Utterly perfect location

Everything about this place was pretty much perfect. Every detail is well thought out and for a couples getaway we couldn't recommend it enough. The apartment has everything you need, and the grounds, with the duck pond and views of Holmfirth are spectacular. Everything from the telescope to the big book of Folklore, Myths and Legends are perfectly placed to entertain you in your time here, boredom is simply not an option. The property is around a ten minute walk down the hill to the village, which is one of the nicest little places we've visited. Lovely shops and a couple of welcoming bars. The walk back up the hill could take a while longer for some, but if you've had a wine or two the pain seems lessened... As an aside, Jen the owner was lovely, and she even surprised us out the blue with a kind offer of sliding our dates when our plans unexpectedly changed last minute. She couldn't have been more helpful, and the welcome pack that greeted us was much appreciated. We've stayed in a number of cottages up and down the country and can honestly say this is the best, and the one we'd be most likely to return to at a future date. Highly recommend!

AMAZING HIDDEN GEM

Room with a view is such an amazing place to stay, everything about the place is wonderful. The decor is clean and crisp and the little things like the bird pictures on the wall are all made out of maps which is a fantastic idea. The views are stunning and to be able to sit at the bottom of the garden and take it all in was so peaceful. Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a nice relaxing stay. Jenny was a great host and provided you with a few essentials to get you through that personal touch really means a lot. Many thanks for having us and we hope to come again soon xx

JUST PERFECT

We have recently stayed for (only) two nights at this gorgeous location.The apartment was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean and the welcome basket on arrival was such a nice touch with a handwritten card from Jenny which made us feel truly welcome. Everything in the apartment was perfect,from the comfy bed,kitchen area which was fully stocked to the big couch perfect for relaxing on whilst watching T.V or reading a book but for us,nothing could beat waking up to the birdsong and sitting on our own secluded patio and watching the wildlife busy themselves,squirrels,rabbits and pheasants all wandering around the garden just added to the beautiful views! Jenny is such a lovely person who made us feel “at home” and was so nice to us throughout our stay and although didn’t encroach on our time there was always on hand if we needed anything attall. If you’re looking for something wonderful then don’t hesitate to book,we can’t wait to go back again. JUST PERFECT Jenny (and your family) “Thank you”

Brilliant and eventful

We stayed from October to December 2017 whilst we had some building work done at home. Although the building work was stressful it was lovely to have such a nice, comforting bolt hole to come back to. It was like a home from home and was everything we needed. The bed was really comfortable. The kitchen was all we needed. The views from the windows were brilliant, sometimes beautiful particularly with the snow and my excitement was actually seeing a mole peep out of the mole hill when I was using the telescope. Although we didn't use it for a holiday I would like to think we could return and do just that. I have saved the best until last - Jenny was the perfect host. Kind, thoughtful, nothing was too much trouble. She even texted me an early morning call when my husband was in hospital. Hope to see you again soon. Wendy.

Beautifully appointed and superb location

This property is beautifully furnished and equipped to a high standard. The views from the terrace are superb. The owner left a more than generous food hamper for when we arrived and was friendly and helpful but discrete. Holmfirth is such a beautiful town with lots to do and explore and an excellent selection of cafes and restaurants. The property is within walking distance of the town, although the walk back up from the town is steep and so not really suitable for anyone who is not reasonably fit. This property is a lovely base from which to explore the stunning Peak District.

Wonderful apartment and surroundings

The apartment is very tastefully furnished and decorated. It was extremely comfortable and had everything required to make out stay as enjoyable as possible. Jenny was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Just a pity we can't plan the weather as we had rain the whole time we were there! Also there was a very good welcome basket, thanks to Jenny

Perfect location,an immaculate really comfortable apartment with stunning view

We probably picked the best weather weekend ever, so it made sitting on the patio admiring to great garden vista and surrounding countryside perfect. It's a10-15minute downhill to the vibrant Holmfirth with plenty of bars and restaurants......and taxi to get back up the hill! Definitely lived up to our expectations and Jenny is a perfect host and has great flair in decor and gardening. Well worth the 360 mile round trip for three idyllic days in a stunning area. Hopefully we will find time and a reason to return. Dave and Karen

Within walking distance to Holmfirth centre but far enough out to be peaceful with stunning views it is hard to find fault with this beautiful apartment. I would highly recommend for a relaxing few days away from the city. Cant wait to return. 👍

The property was excellent, beautiful decore, with fantastic views. Holmfirth is a lovely place, lots of places to eat, and lots of things to do. Jenny was very helpful. Extremely relaxing, will definitely be going back.
