A very pleasant cottage in a quiet location with zero visibility from others providing a great base in an unusual Cotswold location. Wheatley at first glance looks like a traditional Oxford village with a mix of old and new buildings and nothing much else. Dig deeper and there is a wealth of character. Old buildings from very small to palatial. A pub called the King and Queen that is timeless, focusing on what pubs should do, no airs and graces just darned good service and good libations. A butcher on the High Street who is as traditional as they come. Don’t miss his home cooked goods, they are exceptional. Good location, very nice people. You won’t be disappointed.
Lovely place, great location for Oxford
Everything was lovely - spacious, warm, bed comfortable.
Once covid-19 is over we will try and stay there again as we had to cut our stay short as Oxford closed down.
good central location
cottage is in a good location and very quite
Jenny was great to communicate with and was very understanding when my first payment failed to process. The property was beautiful and well prepared. Access was easy and we were able to reach the property using buses so we didn't need to rent a car.
Nice cottage with good living space. Kitchen and bathroom smaller than expected but it is after all a cottage. Really nice little village, good Indian Restaurant and don’t miss the King and Queen pub. No food but oozing in atmosphere.

Wheatley has many facilities including a good restaurant at The Sun Cafe (breakfast, lunch and dinner), the Kings Arms pub, as well as an Indian restaurant in the High Street. There is an excellent coffee shop which supplies breakfasts, lunches and sandwiches etc. For food shopping there is a Co-op within easy walking distance along with a butcher, and baker who makes lovely Gluten free bread! There is a cash machine, Post office and Library.
