A wonderful week away with the family

The house is absolutely beautiful with a wonderful outside area. Communication with Roger was great from the moment we booked. We gad a fabulous week away.

Rural retreat

Ideal house for extended family to stay. The newly converted barn extension was great with 2 large en-suite bedrooms and a beautiful vaulted sitting room and games area. Fenced pool area made safe for young children. Steps into the pool could be easier. Communication with owner, booking and property manager all excellent.

Relaxing week in beautiful countryside

We had a great week at the property, which is located in a small pretty french hamlet surrounded by beautiful countryside with plenty of places to walk. The farmhouse is large and well kitted out with all that you need for a relaxing holiday. The bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds, there are plenty of bathrooms, and a nice tv and games area for evening entertainment. There was only three of us, but the farmhouse could easily accommodate a large family or group. The outside space is also nicly done, with a great pool and seating area, and lawned garden space. There are plenty of shops and restaurants close by, easily reached by car. We enjoyed our stay and recommend the farmhouse.

Sejour a la campagne

Petit détour par la haute charente pour un week-end prolongé pour un mariage. Très bel environnement. Maison juste parfaite, fonctionnelle. Tres reposant de se retrouver tous ici.

Lovely summer holiday

Stayed for a week and a great location. Located in a small hamlet it provides a quiet location. Playing in the pool, bbq, drinks in the evening. Property is large with the additional extension. Great in the evening to see the stars.

Tranquil stay in the countryside

Lovely family gathering in a spacious tastefully furnished old farm house in the French countryside. Made use of the clean pool, bikes to explore the area with attractions nearby like castles, golf course and lakes. Roger was a very gracious host and we had everything we needed and more. Tracy was kind and available whenever needed just down the road. We highly recommend this place.

Gîte conçu pour la famille

Ce gîte très bien conçu permet à une famille, grands-parents jusqu’à petits enfants, ou à des couples d’amis de se réunir. Salle de bain avec wc dans chaque chambre plus wc au Rez de chaussée. Les occupants sont vraiment indépendants. Nous avons eu la chance d’avoir la météo avec nous, donc piscine tous les jours! Nous gardons un excellent souvenir

Een gezellig huis in een rustige dorp

We hebben als gezin genoten in dit. Het zwembad is heerlijk alleen jammer dat het in de 10 dagen dat we daar zaten niet 1x is schoongemaakt. Na regen en storm was het zwembad vies en dus hebben we de laatste 3 dagen niet meer kunnen zwemmen. Je moet voor brood wel 15 min rijden maar dan heb je ook heerlijk brood. Tracy is erg vriendelijk. Dankjewel dat we in jouw huis mogen verblijven.

Maison agréable et au calme

La maison est très agréable, fraîche malgré des températures caniculaires. La cuisine est bien équipée et les chambres grandes et confortables. Belle piscine avec un salon de jardin confortable et ombragé par la pergola. Il manquait juste des rideaux plus occultants dans les chambres. Par ailleurs, il n’y a pas de chaînes françaises. Grosse collection de DVD mais que en Anglais ! Ce fut un beau séjour, la région est très belle, de belles balades autour de la maison.

Très agréable séjour

La maison est très bien agencée et aménagée pour un séjour de 5 personnes dont deux enfants , le jardin et la piscine sont très agréables on peut profiter dans un hameau très calme . Parfait pour se reposer et se ressourcer. Roger est un hôte très prévenant et très attentifs au confort de ces hôtes. Truus qui s occupe de la maison également. Nous recommandons vivement cette maison !

Definitely worth a return visit

Four of us turned up on Saturday afternoon to be greeted by a lovely clean house and a very generous welcome pack of goodies. We were in the gorgeous pool within 30 minutes and actually spent a large part of our holiday there! Beds and linen were all very comfortable with plenty of towels for us all. Kitchen was well stocked and the bar-b-que was well used. The situation was very quiet, so a bit of a hike to the boulangerie but that was made up for by the lovely garden and the wildlife! We were lucky enough to spot, amongst all the lizards, a hedgehog and a snake! A forty minute drive to Limoges airport (very easy) to pick up our last family member was about as far as we went, apart from a couple of market and canoeing trips and one lake visit. There is plenty at the house to make everyone welcome and the people onsite when needed were very helpful! Can't fault it! Thanks very much Roger

Lovely holiday home in a tranquil setting

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Veda. The house had everything we needed, the beds were very comfortable and the garden and pool area was beautiful. We especially liked the raised patio where we had breakfast most mornings and enjoyed the pergola with candles in the evening. A real home from home in a beautiful hamlet setting. The bikes were very welcome and we enjoyed exploring the local area. We found the region very tourist friendly and local restaurants were excellent. You have a lovely home Roger and we look forward to returning again in the future. Alison, Paul and Beth

Excellent service from Owner (from start to end) and Caretaker. Well equipped, spacious and comfortable. Kitchen a pleasure to cook in. Wide variety of DVD's CD's etc. Very varied welcome pack. Gazebo seating area around pool fabulous. Enjoyed watching the family of owls on the barn opposite. Lucky enough to see the water lilies and frog in the small pond. Would not hesitate to return.
