Family holiday in August
We had a great time at this villa. Thank you to Stephanie for excellent, speedy communications from the time of booking, through to info on arrival and directions and settling us in. It was kind of the owners to make us a pasta salad and leave a bottle of wine, some beer and bottled water. We enjoyed using the pool and everything in the villa was as advertised. It’s a great location to visit Siracusa (only 10 mins drive) Taormina, Noto, Modica, Ragusa, mt. Etna. Great restaurant suggestions from Stephanie. We really liked pizzeria La Fornace, right by the water’s edge.
Very private and clean villa.
A great welcome from Stepanie and a lovely meal prepared for us by Marco on arrival. The villa, pool and gardens were all very clean and exactly as advertised. We spent two weeks there and enjoyed many of the locations and restaurants recommended by Stephanie. Highly recommended.
Relaxing lovely countryside Villa
What a lovely clean modern villa, with super comfortable beds and lovely clean pool. Lots of comfortable outdoor sun loungers and chairs. Stephanie was brilliant providing us almost instantly with anything we needed. Fab large dressing mirror which most places lack and spacious lounge, bedrooms and bathrooms. Close to Syracuse. Agree parking on Bengasi was best. Easy before 9pm. Camera registers No.Plate, then input in machine and pay on way out.
Simples !! We visited Noto (lovely) and Sampieri - Fab beach! and Marzamemi (the beach is a good walk away though). 5 Great supermarkets located together at Avola and down at the front has a good buzz at night with the locals. Overall a really good relaxing trouble free holiday. Highly recommended. Thanks to all concerned.
Lovely private place
Lovely and convinient place to stay. Only a short drive to Siracuse and Ortigia. Villa is very clean and seems quite new, has everything you need ( even a washing machine). Supermarkets are just down the road.
Owner Marco welcomed us with bottle of wine and pasta dish on our arrival. The agent Stephanie is very nice and very helpful in every way.
Villa is close to nice beaches and if you up for a little bit of driving we recommend Marzamemi, beautiful little place down south and Noto is a nice place to visit too.
We enjoyed our stay very much.
Great villa & pool, lovely Sicily
A lovely villa – cosy, nicely decorated, with a lovely pool and
garden, and separate air-conditioning in all rooms. The villa is
situated in a quiet and secure area but very convenient to get to
Syracuse for a night out. Both the owners and the agent (Stephanie)
are lovely and very accommodating. When you arrive there is delicious
pasta and chilled while wine as a complementary gift. We stayed for
two weeks, so after the first week the villa and pool were cleaned and
the bedding was changed. There were no extra changes for anything (the internet and air-conditioning were free unlike in some other places), so overall excellent value and a great place.
The island has also a lot to offer. Syracuse is lovely and only a
short drive from the villa (I suggest you park on the parking situated
on Via Bengasi, it’s only a short walk after that to get to the old
town (Ortigia). I also highly recommend Noto, which is full of nice
restaurants and beautiful architecture, as well as Taormina (a bit
further away but we combined with a visit to the volcano mountain
Etna, which is also stunning and totally worth visiting). I also
recommend a day trip to Agrigento - Valle dei Templi ("Valley of the
Temples”) is an unforgettable experience of spectacular ancient Greek
architecture (both my children aged 8 and 15 loved it). For kids, the
Aretusa water park is not far from the villa at all (just outside
Syracuse) and a great way to spend the day.
If you like sandy beaches like us, Fontane Bianche is not far (3 Euro
parking for the whole day if you drive to the further end of the
beach) and the water is very clear and warm. This beach, however, gets a bit overcrowded, so we often drove a bit further to Sampieri, which is about 50 min drive but absolutely fantastic – lots of space, velvet sand, warm water, stunning dunes and views.
I would love to go to Sicily again as there was much more to do, and
certainly recommend the villa – had some lovely time splashing about
in the pool or just relaxing and having a drink on one of the sunbeds.
