Tranquility, peace and panoramic views which are arguably the best on the island...that's what Father Ted's provides. The property was basic but clean and very well equipped, with everything needed for a great self-catering stay. Communication with the hosts was fantastic. We had our best holiday yet at this villa and would love to return. Highly recommended!

Una casetta tra cielo e mare

La struttura corrisponde a quanto descritto nella presentazione . John è sempre stato disponibile per qualsiasi nostra necessità. Il punto forte della casa è il terrazzo dove ci siamo rilassati perdendoci in un panorama mozzafiato .La villetta è inoltre vicino a una taverna , a lixuri e alla famosa spiaggia di Petani .

Two weeks of paradise!

Father Ted’s is the place to go if you’re looking for a restful holiday in clean, comfortable accommodation with stunning views, near to excellent family run Tavernas, in a quiet ‘untouristy’ location, with access to beautiful, unspoilt beaches (and you don’t mind a few interesting hairpin bends!). The island of Kefalonia is truly delightful with very friendly locals, amazing food, and wonderful scenery! The Paliki peninsular is very uncommercial dotted with delightful villages (although the roads are very rough and narrow there is little traffic to worry about). The owners, John and Lesley, were extremely helpful and their knowledge and experience of the Island was very reassuring! If you’re looking for something authentic and unspoilt then Paliki and Father Teds is for you! We hope to return one day (soon!).

Stunning Views.

We really enjoyed our stay at Fr Ted's. The property is very well equipped. It was spotlessly clean. The bed was really comfortable and we slept very well. The stand out feature is the magnifielcent view. The house is fairly remote which is ideal if you want a chilled out holiday. Petani beach which is a short drive away is lovely with a really good taverna to have lunch. We had a couple of nice meals in the local taverna which is about a 15 minute walk in the little village of Rifi.

Amazing!

What a wonderful little villa, tucked away in the hills overlooking Lixouri (& beyond). It's an adventure just driving up the hill - 9 hairpin bends - but the views just get better and better. Villa has everything you need and is obviously very well cared for. Patio is huge and has large table, comfortable chairs, bbq and by using the sail shades provided you can sit out there all day. So peaceful just listening to the crickets and occasional goat bells - the most relaxing holiday we have had in a long time! Car is necessary but also needed to explore this beautiful island - traffic appears to be mainly tourists in no hurry. Make sure to get off the main roads and see the lovely villages and stop at local tavernas for amazing lunches. Lesley and John were so helpful and even managed to work around our odd flights meaning we had a 16 day break - many thanks. Highly recommended.

Comfortable property with idyllic views

This was our first stay in Kefalonia and we were hoping that the views promised by this property were accurate. They were exceeded, absolutely breathtaking, there is so much to see of island life whilst relaxing outside the property, soaring eagles, local farmers herding their sheep and goats, fisherman in the bay. The position of the property is up on a hill in a very quiet location (perfect for unwinding). The facilities of the property itself were pretty much as we expected, good cooker, washing machine, radio, microwave etc. The bed was nice and comfortable and we slept very well. Not that anyone staying at this property is there to watch the TV, but if you are stuck in on a stormy night, we recommend taking some DVDs with you. Taverna Atsoupi, up the hill in the nearby village (10-15 min walk), by far the best food we had on the island, authentic family run, serving grilled food, delicious and inexpensive. The property owners were very helpful in providing directions, recommendations for what to do and where to go and answering any queries that we had. We are already hoping we can book Father Teds' again for a holiday next year. Once again a great find, thoroughly recommend. Steve & Alice

Peaceful location with a large balcony with spectacular views.

A well-equipped apartment with a big balcony with fantastic views. The apartment is not near any other buildings and very little traffic so very peaceful. A car is a must but there are two nice tavernas a little walk up the hill or a quick drive away. There are some very beautiful beaches within 15 minutes drive and small shops in the local villages. We loved it.

We prefer the Paliki to many areas. We did not want to live in tourist Greece. This property is so special that we risked buying it without having the money to pay for it at the time.

There are few private rental properties for couples on the island.
The sunset at the local Petani beach is very special.
If you want to have noise and be amongst the tourists, this is not for you. If you want to experience Greek life and pay non tourist rates in a very special location then please book with us!
