Villa moderna con impresionantes vistas a la montaña

El pueblo de El Horno tiene una buena tienda local y el bar cada uno a poca distancia; zona de juegos y deportes iluminadas infantil terreno de juego 5 minutos. La Villa se encuentra en el "Barranco de Arguineguín" con impresionantes vistas sobre las montañas, naranjos y impresionantes cielos azules. Que se distribuyen en 3 plantas cada uno con su propia terraza privada.
En la planta baja tenemos la entrada principal de la Villa que tiene en el amplio salón con vistas a las montañas increíbles. También en esta planta se encuentra la zona de comedor separada; cocina y aseo.
Arriba tiene 3 dormitorios, 2 de las habitaciones con camas dobles y una habitación con 2 camas individuales, también una cuna si es necesario bajo petición y el segundo cuarto de baño. Hasta a la terraza en la parte superior de la escalera que tiene una lavadora y secadora. En el exterior tiene una zona para tomar el sol privado con sala de estar, etc.
En la planta baja tenemos un cuarto dormitorio con una cama doble, baño y recientemente decorado. También hay una sala de juegos que tiene una mesa de billar, tenis de mesa y equipo de gimnasio para su uso. Puede acceder aquí a la piscina climatizada y zona de barbacoa.
La Villa es muy seguro y seguro (para niños) con puertas de entrada / cámara de alarma / interfono moderna y detectores de humo instalados en todos los niveles.
Se puede aparcar su coche en el camino de entrada cerrada o hay un montón de aparcamiento fuera de la Villa en el borde de la carretera.
Esta villa es ideal para los ciclistas como El Horno se encuentra en la siempre popular "Soria" Ciclo de viaje. Durante la temporada alta, literalmente, cientos de ciclistas frente a esta ruta. La Villa se encuentra a 20 minutos en coche con otros centros turísticos como Puerto Rico y Meloneras.

Set in a quiet location, the property has everything you need for a perfect relaxing break. The location is approx a 20-minute drive from main resort where you can find a variety of restaurants, supermarkets, shops and beautiful beaches. The villa is well maintained, has a small pool, games (pool and table tennis) and bbq area. The other facilities are great, the only thing missing is air con in each bedroom, but we survived! We would definitely return and would like to thank the hosts for their clear check in instructions and assistance during our stay.

The villa has it all, easy booking and getting in. Quick responses from Micheal when needed. Only thing you need a hire car. Its out of the way with no real local shops but that said its quiet and the scenery is amazing. The whole family really did not want to leave

Great villa

The villa was very spacious and clean. It had everything we needed as a family with a 13 and 10 year old. We found the location perfect; peaceful at the villa and a short drive (15-20mins) to numerous beaches and restaurants. The kids enjoyed Puerto Rico beach mainly because they could jump off the small platforms. Mogan is really pretty and with a good beach. We found the nicest restaurants in Mogan. Definitely need a hire car (cicar is good). Michael is really helpful and quick to respond to messages. Would happily recommend this villa and book again. Thank you Michael for a lovely holiday.

Perfect for family holiday

We enjoyed a lovely week at Michael's villa.Communication with Michael, both before and during the stay, was excellent. We had a short power cut whilst there, and Michael was quick to respond to my messages and offer advice. Michael also gave me some contact details for a local taxi driver when I asked.The villa was great for our mix of age ranges; the outside area with the pool was spacious and had the sun for a number of hours each day, and the rooms were all set out nicely. The lounge was spacious and comfortable, and the kitchen was perfect for our needs.The villa is 6 miles off the motorway and the roads can be winding and tight in places, which is worth bearing in mind if you're not a confident driver.We used most of the supermarket recommendations during our stay, and it's not too far to go to reach a shop that will give you what you need. The local bar was friendly, and we enjoyed food and drinks there.Overall a fantastic stay, and we would gladly return!

Beautiful Villa in the mountains

We had a fantastic week at Villa Fortuna. The sun rose over the mountains as we ate breakfast. Spectacular. The villa is huge and was perfect for the 6 of us. We spent most of the daytime exploring but it was always nice to come home to the house and sit outside on the terrace and drink wine and relax. I have only one criticism of the Villa and that it is in need of a little TLC in some areas. Possibly the owners have not been able to visit recently because of situation in the Canaries. Overall we had a wonderful holiday. Communication and contact with the owner was great and the information and welcome pack much appreciated.

Hello Sarah, thank you for your 5* review. I am pleased you enjoyed your stay at Villa Fortuna. Yes the sight of seeing the sun rise over the mountain each day is a delight. You told me the Tiki bar had some mould on it. We replaced this in August 2019 but the recent rains caused this. A new treatment of varnish should help. You also said some of the walls had grease stains on them. We regularly paint the walls and will keep doing so to maintain the look of the villa. Thank you for your feedback and we welcome you to stay again.

House is amazing, only let down was uncomfortable bed and pillows

Positives Easy check inBeautiful location 25 mins from all of the hot spots in the south Lovely open plan living areaPool was lovely and warm and on hot days like a warm bath Down stairs garage with exercise equipment and pool table and table tennis Outside area is beautiful with tiki bar Negatives - spent 10 days but did not sleep well in the master room. It’s got a door on a terrace and the doors are not blacked out and blinds only go half way and see through curtains and pillows were awful quality and no support in and mattress was not comfy, felt like it needed replacing. Apart from this we still had an amazing stay and small changes would make it excellent as house is lovely and large, beautifully decorated. Three bathrooms and four bedrooms. Just made me a little grumpy not getting enough sleep and Hisbad and I kept waking up all the time

Fabulous holiday, superb house and excellent communication

Firstly I must apologise for taking so long in leaving our review! We stayed here in March (2019 (I'm not *that* slow!)) but leaving a review has been on my list of "things to do" ever since... but better late than never as they say! We stayed here with two adults and two kids and there was ample room for all of us without feeling cramped. The kids (and adults!) loved the pool and the games room. Everything was clean, well kept, modern and very much up to standard seen on the photos on here. Parking on the street outside was an absolute breeze (you never know how busy somewhere might be for parking but trust me, you'll NOT have a problem getting parked!) We literally only have two 'negative' things to say and they're really not big issues and one is certainly not within the owners control but as I always like to read reviews that are fair and written well, here goes: 1) The pool was a teeny tiny bit chilly come later afternoon/evening but that didn't stop us enjoying it - it WAS heated but we're all wimps and would have preferred it a smidge warmer(!) 2) That blooming cockeral that lives somewhere on the mountain side near-ish the house needs cooking up for Sunday dinner(!) (I'm a huge animal lover, I do say this in jest, but in all honesty, it did wake me up a few mornings - you can tell its a long way off and it's echoing between the hills and I certainly appreciate it isn't the property owners' fault or anything within their control but I did think I'd write about it in my review as it starts its morning wake up call as soon as the sun starts rising right through til 10am ish so if you're a fellow light sleeper (like myself and my daughter) you might well be woken up quite early BUT, like I say, no detriment to the holiday because frankly, sitting outside waiting for the sun to appear over the mountain, while listening to the cockeral, with a cup of tea in your hands, in the lovely warm climate = bliss! Would we go back? 100% definitely! Highly recommended!

GENERAL

La Villa está muy bien, limpieza perfecta, utensilios muy completo, no faltaba de nada, la zona de la piscina muy bien con barbacoa igualmente con todos sus utensilios para usarla, un buen solariun y la zona de entretenimiento con billar y mesa de pin pon, aparte de bici estática y otra elíptica. En general todo muy bien. Seguro que volveremos mas de una vez. Gracias Michael por tu atención.

Vacaciones

En general todo bastante bien, pero si que echamos en falta dado el número de personas y los dias que nos alojamos una segunda nevera o un congelador aparte. Por otra parte, había una rotura en una pieza en la piscina, qur no dependía del señor de mantenimiento que por cierto es todo un profesional.

Wir haben uns in der Villa Fortuna sehr sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein gepflegtes und geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus in einem, bis auf übliches Hundegebell und Hahnengeschrei, ruhigen Tal im Süden Gran Canarias. Ein bisschen versteckt aber dafür sehr schön gelegen mit tollem Ausblick. Ideal um die Insel auf eigene Faust zu erkunden. Ausstattung und Pflegezustand waren toll. Es fehlte uns an nichts. Wir waren mit 2 Familien für 2 Wochen da. Der Gastgeber war gut zu erreichen.

We hebben een geweldige week gehad in dit huis wat mooi ligt in de bergen met eigen zwembad. Je kunt naar alle leuke strandjes of plaatsjes in de buurt binnen 25 minuten rijden ongeveer. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien. Ik verbleef met mijn vriend en 3 volwassen zonen waarvan 1 met aanhang. Iedereen had voldoende privacy en de faciliteiten waren top. In de garage tafeltennistafel en poolbiljart voegt echt iets toe. Het zwembad was heerlijk warm en de ligbedjes fijn. Wij hadden zon tussen 9 30 en 15.30 uur. Voor ons geen probleem dat we alles met de auto moesten doen. Was telkens fijn om in de rust thuis te komen. We hebben nog een mooie hike gemaakt van 10 km tegenover het huis in de bergen. En bij het plaatselijke barretje vlakbij een lekkere salade gegeten. Het contact met de eigenaar verliep goed; altijd snel reactie! Al met al een geweldig huis met mooi uitzicht weg van het massa toerisme.

Wunderbare Villa

Die Villa Fortuna ist ein sehr gepflegtes, mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtetes, grosses Haus. Wer gerne kocht, ist mit der hervorragend ausgestatteten Küche bestens bedient. Im weiträumigen Wohnzimmer lässt es sich auf dem bequemen Sofa herrlich entspannen und am grossen Tisch gemütlich das Essen geniessen. Nach einem anstrengenden Wandertag lädt der angenehm beheizte Pool zu einem erfrischenden Bad ein.Abends kann man herrlich auf der grossen Terrasse sitzen, den Sternenhimmel bewundern und mit einem Glas Wein den Tag beschliessen.Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können dieses schöne Anwesen ohne Vorbehalte bestens empfehlen.Unser Dank gilt dem Besitzer, Herr Michael Franklin. Er ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und der Kontakt per E-Mail war sehr erfreulich und effizient!

Heerlijke carnavalsvakantie

We hebben enorm genoten van ons verblijf in deze mooie villa. Het huis heeft alles dat nodig is voor een ontspannen vakantie. Een fantastisch zwembad, heerlijke bedden, pingpongtafel, complete keuken en met de auto perfect bereikbaar. Het huis was schoon en voorzien van eerste benodigdheden bij aankomst. Ook het contact met de eigenaar verliep vlot. De perfecte plek om te genieten van zon en rust!

Nice house in quiet village.

This house was great for us with our older son and his girlfriend holidaying with us. The bedroom and bathroom space allowed for us all to be separate when we wanted to be. The games room was great fun as was the pool. Be prepared for a 20 minute drive to get to the main motorway. This house is in a village in the Arguiniguin ravine so is surrounded by mountains. We went to the rustic, welcoming and good value restaurant at El Pinello at least 3 times. This is only a 5 min drive away. Lovely staff there! The house was very clean overall, however the shower cubicles did need scrubbing down as there was orange body fat build up in places. The upstairs shower also has low pressure but we made do and coped ok. The manager Michae, was very responsive when we had to contact him. When we arrived, expecting a welcome pack of basic items -as stated in the house notes- we arrived to an empty fridge. In our experience of staying in private villas, at the least, one bottle of water is provided on arrival. Michael did get in touch with the local contact who did bring a few basic staples later in on the day. We also had to contact Michael because the pool filter wasn’t running. Again his local agent did come and sort this out. These were minor niggles and did not impact on our overall experience. A lovely house in a Canarian village, with a small local shop, far away from the hustle bustle of tourist areas. You definitely need a car but if you don’t mind lots of driving you’ll have a great break in El Horno!

Holiday Home away from Home.

Gorgeous property. Photos don't do it justice. Everything you need and more. Very spacious with lots of rooms so great when everyone wants their own space (especially when you have teenagers) pool can only be described as a slightly warm bath. Couldn't get the rest of the family out to go sight seeing. Clean, well equipped and Michael was on stand by via email to answer any questions. Fantastic property would most definitely recommend.

Delightfully peaceful mountain retreat

A lovely stay in villa Fortuna with our 4 year old son. The location is quiet and peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle, nestled in a valley with stunning 360 degree mountain views. The villa is well appointed, spacious and comfortable and the private pool a godsend. A car is essential, in my opinion, as there is little in walking distance, but this just encouraged us to explore more of the island than we otherwise would have done. The owner was excellent at responding to queries quickly and very flexible with our checkout time, which we appreciated. A lovely, restorative stay.

Having been to Gran Canaria on numerous occasions a number of factors stand out:

- great all year round weather
- beaches to the south of the island, mountain scenery, and city facilities in Las Palmas - there's something for everyone
- day-to-day life runs at a slower pace than back in England
- 4 hour flight time - important if you have young children!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The villa is a 12 minute drive off the main GC-1/Arguineguin. You have easy access to all the main shops and tourist areas but without the hustle & bustle of a tourist quarter. The view when you wake up and the sun rises over the mountains is out of this world.

The villa was recently built in 2007 and therefore provides modern accommodation. It comes loaded with all modern facilities such as Wifi, Air-conditioning, dishwasher etc. Also, there is a games room with a pool table, table tennis and gym equipment to keep you amused when not in the sun.

The villa has a new heated swimming pool that helps refresh you during those sunny days or under a star lit night.
