Stravithie Castle is set in its own parkland and gardens, lawns and a burn.

There are peaceful walks in 30 acres of grounds, to Dunino church and Druid’s Stone. Ideally placed for golf, with world famous courses nearby, or explore the beaches and villages along the East Neuk. Visit Dundee with its maritime heritage and the magnificent ship ’Discovery’. There is an excellent range of restaurants, bars, shops and historic sites in St. Andrews. Shop, pub and restaurant 3½ miles.

Great find

Lovely stay, nice big room, welcoming hosts and lovely breakfast ingredients in the kitchenette. Would recommend.

excellent place to stay, a little tought to find

Would definitely stay here again. Couple who own the Castle were outstanding. Even gave us tips on where to eat and play golf. 15 pound cab ride back to Castle if you plan on having a wee dram of liquor or some pints while you are touring St Andrews. Dave, the MacKinnon Bros will be back one day. Thanks again

Fabulous accommodation and hospitality!

Castle Stravithie is a true historical gem. David and his wife were a wealth of information regarding history of The castle and surroundings. Absolutely stunning property and comfortable accommodations

My wife and I stayed here for two nights while visiting St Andrews. David was exceptionally helpful and made us feel right at home. The wonderful walks around the property and cozy accommodations were exactly what we bargained for. Nothing but good things to say about the castle and owners. A must for anyone staying in or around St Andrews. Thanks again David!

Lovely bed and breakfast.

Walking Stravithie Castle's expansive grounds along the river is a vacation in itself, especially for those of us who live in a big city. It's a bit difficult to locate, but that could be remedied with a simple sign at the entrance. We travel-weary guests appreciated the beautiful river views from our room and the lovely Scottish garden views outside our breakfast room. It's a quick drive to St. Andrews or to the quaint coastal towns. Our room was comfortable and furnished in traditional style, with a comfortable bed. A delightful stop for travelers who want to slow down and breathe before continuing your trip.
