Studio Condo With Full Kitchen and Sitting Area along the Freedom Trail
This cozy Boston Vacation Rental is in the heart of the famous North End— walking distance to all the Boston historic locations, at a reasonable price. Nestled below a tiny street, and seconds away from the Old North Church along the Freedom Trail, the studio is charming (lots of exposed brick and wooden beams, granite tile floors) and comfortable (modern kitchen, queen bed with top quality mattress and linens). The kitchen features granite counter tops, wood cabinets, dishwasher, stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker and tea kettle. There is a walk-in-closet and a bathroom with a full tile shower. In winter we rent this monthly unless it is short notice. (Note: this is below ground level, with one window. It is well lit, with ample track lighting. You will hear traffic noise from the entry door.)

Very cute place and close to a lot of things. Noisy from everyone in the building walking up the stairs and shutting doors.
We write in our listing that this unit is below the front hallway and you will hear people enter and exit. For those who are sensitive to this we hope will not book this unit. There is a unit one floor above that does not hear this.
Charming little place...
I was pleased with the owner from the time I booked, very easy to work with and flexible. Directions were thorough, the condo just the right size in the North End, and in the heart of everything I needed. There was everything in the condo, right down to a bottle opener! I would suggest slippers for evening as there is a granite floor. A charming little place, and I can't say how much I loved the location. Walked to TD Garden for Bruins games in no time, close to Bovas Bakery and other restaurants, and close to the front door of the Old North Church. (So close I felt guilty walking by 😕) I will admit there was noise above from people going upstairs or down, but it wasn't constant, as its a small building. The alley wasn't scary or worrisome at all. My questions were answered immediately by the owners. Such a pleasant experience...I'm already anxious to book another visit!!
We loved have Kristine stay and welcome her back
Great Location for sightseeing
Its a small place but very conveniently located.
Perfect location in the North End.
Step right out the door to the Freedom Trail and wonderful restaurants. The price for the was reasonable and we knew it was a basement apartment when we rented it but the only window was covered (as it needed to be) so the only ventilation was via a fairly noisy air conditioner. To enter the unit you had to walk down a narrow, dark looking pathway between two buildings. It was raining out and night time when we arrived so we were a little put off right from the start.
This building is in a very nice quiet ally way, off a street in the North End, where the entire neighbor has charming, closely packed buildings, so historic along the Freedom Trail. The ally is well lit and, being in the heart of tourism, the neighborhood is busy with people. The Window opens for ventilation if the AC is moved away, but it requires unhooking the tube attached to the window. We are happy to do this but one guest did it themselves. This guest may not be familiar with city living.
First, the location, next to the Freedom Trail and across the street from the Old North Church, is a great location. The place is down a small alley off of the street. There is a small grocery store down the block. Little Italy is less than two blocks away. Many great restaurants and bars.
The room has just about everything you need. It is in the basement so you have to carry your luggage down stairs. There are a couple negatives with this place, however. There is definitely a musty smell. The owners have a dehumidifier in the room but that doesn't completely get rid of the smell. You do get used to the smell after awhile. Also, the people that live above the room tend to be a bit noisy. Your bed is directly under the stairs that go up to the second floor so when people walk up and down the stairs you can definitely hear the steps. All, in all, a nice stay but we probably wouldn't stay there again.
We are happy this guest enjoyed the accommodation. We have discovered the dehumidifier is not working well and have replaced it. There is a little noise on the stairs in the hall, but the tenants are quiet.
Charming Apartment in the Heart of the North End
This lovely apartment was exactly as described. We admittedly didn't spend much time there as the location made it so easy to get everywhere in the Nroth End and beyond. We would definitely stay again.
The North End is one of the most popular tourist areas. It is also known as Little Italy, with its many Italian restaurants and markets. More prevalent on Sunday mornings you see Italian neighbors enjoying there espresso and chatting in Italian. The Freedom Trail runs through this neighborhood with many attractions: Paul Revere house, Old North Church, ghost tours at Copps Hill, etc. It is convenient to public transportation, the TD Gardens and lots of events.
