This cozy Boston Vacation Rental is in the heart of the famous North End— walking distance to all the Boston historic locations, at a reasonable price. Nestled below a tiny street, and seconds away from the Old North Church along the Freedom Trail, the studio is charming (lots of exposed brick and wooden beams, granite tile floors) and comfortable (modern kitchen, queen bed with top quality mattress and linens). The kitchen features granite counter tops, wood cabinets, dishwasher, stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker and tea kettle. There is a walk-in-closet and a bathroom with a full tile shower. In winter we rent this monthly unless it is short notice. (Note: this is below ground level, with one window. It is well lit, with ample track lighting. You will hear traffic noise from the entry door.)

Overall first impression was fairly good
We stayed 7 nights and the one good quality is that you're on the North End and felt safe BUT the room was dark, the humidifier had to be left on and the water continually dumped, my husband slept on the side of the bed with the slanted ceiling hitting his head several times was quite annoying, the shower rod kept falling down also annoying, the sheets were frayed and we were getting our hands caught in the frayed thin sheets, the top shelf in the bathroom fell several times so don't plan on using the top shelf! The window had a very cheap window blind on it that was crooked and just made the room look ecstatically unappealing. You will have a whopping half dozen TV channels so don't plan on any ESPN, hgtv or food or travel channel. Local channels are your best friend! This room is in the basement with the slanted ceiling above the bed being directly underneath the stairway SO plan on hearing people going up and down the stairs directly above your head as you're sleeping. The room and beams need to be painted a lighter color and a nightstand with a lamp would have been nice. Like I say, the only great thing was staying on the North End and you do have a kitchen if you plan to cook (we didn't too many good places to eat)!!
We are saddened by this guests discomfort.
If she had called us we would have immediately sent our carpenter to repair the shower rod and shelf. These types of repairs happen to buildings and usually our maid informs us about them in advance. We are also sorry she missed the frayed sheet. She is normally very attentive. If we had known this also we would have sent her to replace it. There are extra linens kept in the unit.
The description and photos of the unit clearly indicate where the bed and slanted wall is and clearly states you will hear people walking on the steps above. I am sorry she did not see this when she booked it. It would not have been her choose to do so.
Small, but well located
Wonderful place to stay!
The condo was amazing! Perfect for our trip! Comfortable bed, shower was awesome, soft towels, kitchen well stocked. It was so quaint and perfect for our trip. Very clean. Loved the location, just steps from the Okd North Church. We loved being close to all of the restaurants and dining at the authentic Italian restaurants. You won’t regret booking this place! Loved it!
Good location. Very well equipped.
Easy walk to sights and trains. Laundromat just around the corner. Apartment had plenty of room for 2. Kitchen had everything you need to cook if you wanted to. Had to run dehumidifier. Very noisy and in 90 degree heat it cut down on effectiveness of a/c.
Amazing location and a great place to stay! Made touring Boston easy!
The apartment had great character and was a perfect weekend getaway!
Accommodations were comfortable and lovely.
The studio was adorable and comfortable. The mattress was great and it was quiet.
I did have a problem getting into the studio as I was given the code for the upstairs accommodation. I finally reached someone after an hour and was given the correct code. Also reception on my cell was not good.
We are glad MaryAnn enjoyed the unit.
The apartment door was accidentally locked and we had to give her a code to another lock box. She waited 10 minutes (not 1 hour) for us to give her the code. We were in our car and needed to log into our system. Normally we have this information with us
The North End is one of the most popular tourist areas. It is also known as Little Italy, with its many Italian restaurants and markets. More prevalent on Sunday mornings you see Italian neighbors enjoying there espresso and chatting in Italian. The Freedom Trail runs through this neighborhood with many attractions: Paul Revere house, Old North Church, ghost tours at Copps Hill, etc. It is convenient to public transportation, the TD Gardens and lots of events.
