This cozy Boston Vacation Rental is in the heart of the famous North End— walking distance to all the Boston historic locations, at a reasonable price. Nestled below a tiny street, and seconds away from the Old North Church along the Freedom Trail, the studio is charming (lots of exposed brick and wooden beams, granite tile floors) and comfortable (modern kitchen, queen bed with top quality mattress and linens). The kitchen features granite counter tops, wood cabinets, dishwasher, stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker and tea kettle. There is a walk-in-closet and a bathroom with a full tile shower. In winter we rent this monthly unless it is short notice. (Note: this is below ground level, with one window. It is well lit, with ample track lighting. You will hear traffic noise from the entry door.)

Good location. Very well equipped.
Easy walk to sights and trains. Laundromat just around the corner. Apartment had plenty of room for 2. Kitchen had everything you need to cook if you wanted to. Had to run dehumidifier. Very noisy and in 90 degree heat it cut down on effectiveness of a/c.
Amazing location and a great place to stay! Made touring Boston easy!
The apartment had great character and was a perfect weekend getaway!
Accommodations were comfortable and lovely.
The studio was adorable and comfortable. The mattress was great and it was quiet.
I did have a problem getting into the studio as I was given the code for the upstairs accommodation. I finally reached someone after an hour and was given the correct code. Also reception on my cell was not good.
We are glad MaryAnn enjoyed the unit.
The apartment door was accidentally locked and we had to give her a code to another lock box. She waited 10 minutes (not 1 hour) for us to give her the code. We were in our car and needed to log into our system. Normally we have this information with us
Cozy and Cute, Perfect Location!
Great little apartment right in the perfect spot to visit all of Boston's historic places. Just a few hundred feet from Old North Church, right on the Freedom Trail, an easy walk to many attractions (loved the Aquarium, Boston Commons, Cheers, USS Constitution, etc.). In the heart of Little Italy, with fabulous bakeries and restaurants all around. We had a great time walking and exploring all the little lanes and alleys with specialty shops (fresh produce, bread, meats, pastries, etc). A convenience store right around the corner on Salem St. had basic necessities like milk, eggs and beer, and a great tee-shirt shop (Dodd House) on that corner provided a warm sweatshirt plus Boston tees & souvenirs. Hanover St., one block over, has about every kind of shop you could want, including a CVS drug store.
The apartment itself was small, but recently renovated, so everything worked well; plenty of light, heat, hot water, storage for suitcases, supplies (including extra blanket, shampoo & conditioner, Thank You.) Comfortable queen size bed & pillows, sofa for two, full kitchen with fairly new appliances. The de-humidifier seemed noisy at first, but we quickly got used to it (DO leave it on and remember to empty the water container). The large air conditioning unit against the far wall, under the only window, seems "too much" and should be replaced with something much smaller. Sheets of instructions and helpful tips should have included instructions on operating the TV.
Yes, we could hear the tenants above us, on the steps and in that apartment. But, there was no noise late at night or very early morning, and we were gone every day, so it wasn't a problem.
This "basement" apartment is 6 steps down from street level, so it's much easier to reach than the several walk-up apartments above it (and carrying luggage, that's important!) The small "private way" (it's only 6' wide) you walk down to get to the entrance also services multiple other residences. That narrow lane could be better maintained / cleaned (maybe a cooperative effort by all the owners?) but it's fairly well lighted.
The apartment door lock broke on our second day (of seven) - and property manager Marie promptly came to check it out then called the locksmith (on a Sunday afternoon) to get us back into the apartment. We appreciated her hands-on quick response!
Overall, I highly recommend this place. If we ever get back to Boston, we'll definitely stay here again
Perfect location, cozy
Great place to stay, near everything for historic Boston. A little loud if someone is on the steps above you but overall great place to stay
Charming studio in best location!
The studio is much nicer and roomier in person, and more quiet than I thought it'd be. It was a comfortable place to stay, and I absolutely adored the management team- very kind, helpful, and great senses of humor!
The location cannot be beat- truly. Great restaurants, sights, just at your doorstep...not to mention an Italian bakery open 24 hours a day just 2 blocks away!
I would totally stay here again. Great location; cute, comfortable, well stocked studio apt- definitely a good experience in every way. Thank you!
The North End is one of the most popular tourist areas. It is also known as Little Italy, with its many Italian restaurants and markets. More prevalent on Sunday mornings you see Italian neighbors enjoying there espresso and chatting in Italian. The Freedom Trail runs through this neighborhood with many attractions: Paul Revere house, Old North Church, ghost tours at Copps Hill, etc. It is convenient to public transportation, the TD Gardens and lots of events.
