TÀmÀ tukeva mökki on yksi kahden hengen makuuhuone, perinteinen avotakka, keittiö, kylpyhuone ja ylÀkerran makuuhuone parivuode (rajoitettu ylÀ-ja vaativat nimbleness re access). Omituinen luonne on osa mökin viehÀtys - soveltuu aterioiden kiinnostunut yksinkertaisen elÀmÀn. Futon nukkuisi viidentenÀ ihmisenÀ ylÀkerrassa, jos avoin suunnitelma on hyvÀksyttÀvissÀ. TÀysin kalustettu, DVD-levyllÀ varustettu video, pesukone, jÀÀkaappi, kaasuliesi ja laajakaistayhteys. Sijaitsee verrattomassa Gwaun Valley, mökki on tukeva jyrkÀnpuoleinen tammi pukeutunut valleyside, ja kupliva virta virtaa omaisuuden vieressÀ. YksinÀinen puutarha, jossa on roikkuu, istuimet, pöytÀ ja grilli. ErittÀin hiljainen, suojattu ja rauhallinen, pubeilla noin 1 mailin kumpaankaan suuntaan (yksi niistÀ tunnetuista: "Bessien" rannat mukaan lukien Newport Sands, 3-5 mailia, legendaarinen Pembrokeshire rannikkovÀyliÀ, kalastus, makean veden ja meren. Aktiiviselle elÀmiselle tai vain nauttia lomastasi, se tekee unohtumattoman lomakokemuksen. A delight nestled in the woods and valley

We had a wonderful time. Cwmllan feels back in time in the best way. Some reviewers seemed critical of the water pressure from the spring-fed water system but this didn't bother us much at all. It's a place to go slower, not to be rushing around! Lovely neighbours and beautiful surroundings. Wonderful choice of walks and a good old-school DVD collection for cosy rainy nights in. Highly recommended.

Fabulous cottage in the most amazing location. Well equipped with cosy open fire. Proper rural in the best possible way. Excellent walks in the woods from the door and the coastpath and hill walking are only a short drive away. Good strolls to 'Bessies' in the evening. We were blessed with 2 weeks without rain. Loved the sound of the stream at the side of the cottage and early morning birdsong. So quiet in the woods you could hear the leaves dropping - utter bliss.

Happy Holiday!

We have just had a great 10 night stay in the cottage and loved it's location. So much wildlife around and such a quirky cottage. So close and an easy drive to Newport beach and all the locals were incredibly friendly. We will definitely be back to stay again.

Charming cottage but in a bad state

The cottage is situated on a wonderful location. Hidden in the green valley. It's a peaceful and quiet. Unfortunately, we soon discovered that the cottage is in a bad state. The windows and doors do not open. They are rotten in some places or sealed with tape. Only the front door works well. The supply of cold water is very low. There is not enough water for one person to shower. Let alone four! Due to the low water pressure, the washing machine does not work either. We knew that it would be a basic accommodation, but we did not know that it would be in such a bad state. It was also not really clean. Lots of cobwebs, spiders and dust. Very unfortunate, because the location in the valley is fantastic! The landscape is breathtakingly beautiful. The people are friendly and there are numerous hikes in the near surroundings.

We booked this lovely cottage because of the setting and because it was a traditional old cottage. We enjoyed our stay but the overall cleanliness was disappointing. Also the cold water pressure was very low so we couldn’t really bath or shower

Nice spot, shame about the property

We were meant to stay for a week, but stayed one night, emailed the landlady at 6.30am to say we were leaving, we found the property unacceptable, eg H&S issues, vermin, cleanliness standards, broken windows. To this end, she refunded part of what we had paid, we contact VRBO customer services, who were excellent in dealing with us, and we got a full refund.

Fabulous Cottage, Stunning Location

We had a marvellous fortnight at Cwmllan, a cosy cottage in a beautiful wooded valley not far from the coast. Fabulous footpaths, stunning scenery, cracking coastpaths and a cosy cottage to come home to at the end of the day. It was so lovely to fine somewhere so unpretentious and homely. There are lots of great walks from the cottage, including of course the stroll to 'Bessies' - walking back under a full moon without the need for a torch was grand. So much variety in North Pembrokesire was a real surprise - walks included woods (Ty Canol wood was amazing), moor, common, hills, riverside, beaches and rugged coastpath. We'd love to return and are very grateful to Heather and Phil for sharing their beautiful cottage with us - and for the welcome pack - Thank you!

Location is amazing, but there is a big issue with the water pressure.

Location is amazing, tranquil and very green near beautiful beaches. The beds are very cosy. Kitchen is well furbished. I didn't give it a 5 star rating because there is a big problem with the water pressure. We were unable to shower. Some days there was not enough cold water coming out of the shower (l boiling shower) and other days no hot water so unable to get a warm temperature all week. Not enough water for 4 people. But we managed twice to get a quick cold shower. It is a real shame because everything else was nice.

The location is lovely but quite far away from everything. Bedding and bedroom clean and comfortable. Kitchen equipment ok . Had everything we needed . Stairs , A death trap !! Very dangerous! .Cold water taps very low water pressure, only runs at a trickle. Practically impossible to have a decent shower . Some windows didn’t close properly others broken . Had a few mice 🐁 visiting! . Needs low doorway warning signs ! And desperately in need of decorating. Effervescent and mould on walls . Clothes felt damp even in July ! . Would be nice to have an aerial for Tv . Hard to get hold of dvd’s these days. Internet very slow . This cottage could be so much better with some TLC

Einfach und romantisch

Romantisches kleine HĂ€uschen in idyllischer Lage. FĂŒr große Menschen allerdings etwas beengt, der Leiteraufstieg ins obere Schlafzimmer ist eher fĂŒr Kinder geeignet. Der strenge Geruch des Kamins im Wohnzimmer ist etwas gewöhnungsbedĂŒrftig. Bei gutem Wetter haben wir allerdings die Picknicarea im Garten voll ausgenutzt, deshalb war das egal. Wohltuende Stille nachts und schöne Ponys und Schafe direkt vor der TĂŒr. Super Parkplatz fĂŒrs Auto. Das WLAN funktioniert meist nicht, was echt wohltuend war. Auch kein TV, man konnte sich mit den Kindern unterhalten und PlĂ€ne machen. FĂŒr uns war es deshalb ein schöner Urlaub in dem urigen Cottage. Wir wĂ€ren gerne lĂ€nger geblieben und wĂŒrden auch wiederkommen.

Lovely cottage in beautiful location

Cwmllan is an old cottage with a lot of character. It is simple and old fashioned but has everything you need. It's the perfect place to get away from it all and unwind. The road is very quiet and the valley is incredibly beautiful, full of insects and birds and woodland flowers (in spring). I didn't want to leave.

Peaceful and beautiful

We enjoyed the rustic and quaint cottage in a beautiful and quiet location. Lots of things to do nearby and walks in the valley. We loved walking to Bessies for a couple of pints of Bass in the evenings.

Rural idyll

a beautiful little cottage in an idyllic location. if you like peace and quiet it's a great spot. for 2 the accommodation worked perfectly, you'd need to be nimble to use the 2nd bedroom as stairs are steep and head height limited. Basic but had everything we needed for getting away from it all

In 1956 my family and another jointly bought the cottage. It remained as a holiday cottage, kept by the two families till the mid 80s. The cottage passed to the next generation and I've kept it in traditional style. It has been a big but rewarding commitment keeping my links to the past in the welcoming community, with familiar sights, walks, pubs and people. I have always fished for the excellent (but rather small) trout in the river five minutes away on foot.

I have known the property all my life. Its positive effect never wanes. The charm of place and simplicity that creates an enduring appeal.
Countless families from all over the UK have shared the pleasures of the cottage over the past 50 years. With very few exceptions they have found its magic worked for them, with returners year on year. The full visitors' book tributes cannot be put on Vrbo, since the entries precede this era. The resident community in the valley are extremely welcoming and helpful.

Don’t change or “improve anything”, especially the stairs! Attic very good for train set on rainy day. Dyffryn Fernant splendid as ever. Same for Carninglie and Aber Rhigias. At least the rain was an excuse to have a summer fire. Cwm Gwaun brewery also good again. Will probably be back for a third time.

Such a peaceful and special place. It’s lovely sitting in the grassy car park space looking out across the valley on a golden evening. Looking forward to coming back next year. Thanks to the people who left the tea leaves. We’ve seen hawks, a jay and various other interesting birds we’ll need to look up. The cottage is a perfect place for children. Susan loved the attic with the low door that kept the parents out and baby James loved staring up at the beamed ceiling. Had the usual amusing spider adventure – this time it was lurking in my hair towel. Lobsters at Pwll Gwaelod (a beach).

An excellent location with a lot of stuff to do including walking down streams and making dens. A nice garden and very comfy rooms. I loved the visit. Thank you.

Quirky but quaint. Very cosy – loved the location and the peace. The running water is very relaxing. Did lots of walks so feel fitter than when we arrived.
