Villa Michail, traditional, well preserved country cottage

Villa Michail is an old- traditional two storey country house. The villa is fully renovated and mixes its traditional identity with modern elements and details.
Pay attention to the wooden ceilings and floor as well as the original wooden stairs that leads to the first floor. All of them have been created over 200 years ago and we very carefully maintain and preserve them at their original state using traditional methods that are long forgotten! We are very proud of those traditional elements as they point out the unique identity of the house.
Even though the villa maintains its traditional character we have added many modern amenities so to ensure our guests’ comfort in a luxurious environment.
Both bathrooms are fully renovated. There is also a modern kitchen with all equipments one might need to cook meals for family or friends.
In detail…
On the ground floor you will find a living room that is furnished with two comfortable sofas, arm chairs and coffee tables. Perfect for relaxation and/ or fun moments with family and friends! There is also a flat tv and a DVD player.

The kitchen is renovated but maintains some traditional elements like the 200 years old fire place where people used to cook. There is also a large wooden table with chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances like hot plates and oven, refrigerator with freezer , sink, cabinets, dishes, glasses, coffee machine etc.

Next to the kitchen just after the living room you will find the WC. There is also a storage room where you can find the washing machine as well as an iron and iron board.

The kitchen door leads to the front yard (which is surrounded by high walls). The front yard is equipped with outdoor furniture like table and chairs so you can enjoy a candlelit dinner under the stars!

On the opposite side of the house, just after the living room the guest will find the back yard of the villa. This yard is also equipped with outdoor furniture and surrounded by high walls. There you can also find (and use of course) the BBQ and a traditional wood oven.

The old wooden stair leads to the 1st floor of the villa where you will find the two bedrooms and the bathroom.

One bedroom offers a double bed and the other, two single beds that if pushed close to each other can be combined to a double bed.

On the first floor you can also find the main bathroom.

The house also offers wifi.



One of the advantages of the house is its location. The villa is located in the heart of the village of Sarchos. Sarchos is a well maintained, traditional Cretan village surrounded by lash plantation and wine yards. The whole are is well known of the very good wine. In close proximity you will find a traditional coffee shop (kafeneio) where you can also dine. There is also a mini market just across the coffee shop.

The beach is at about 25 km away.
