About the property

I-3 is a spacious open oceanfront studio. With high ceilings and a wall of doors open to the screened lanai, you can relax and enjoy the sounds of the waves and a view of the beach. There is a fully equipped kitchen including a washer and dryer in the unit. The condo is nicely furnished with dining table, living room seating area and a queen size bed; very homey! Paniolo Hale has a pool & BBQ's and I3 is just steps to Kepuhi Beach. And a short walk to Make Horse Beach. Nearby is Papohaku Beach, the longest white sand beach on Molokai where sometimes the only people on the beach are you.

Molokai is known as 'The Friendly Isle.' It is also considered the most Hawaiian island. Like stepping back in time 50 years, you won't find traffic lights, elevators, malls, glitz, or night life. If you're looking for rural place for relaxation, snorkeling, beautiful ocean views, quiet beaches, and old Hawaii, you'll find it on Molokai. Some say 'only on Molokai', we say 'always on Molokai' Come find out why.

Molokai is the smallest of the main Hawaiian chain; 38 miles long and only 10 to 15 miles wide. Its west side is arid and dry. Beaches in the winter are great for surfing not for swimming. In the summer the beaches are calm for snorkeling and swimming.The eastern side is more lush and tropical with miles of barrier reef in front.

Molokai's north side is famous for having the world's highest sea cliffs which rise some 3000 feet out of the ocean. The 2774-acre Kamakou Forest Preserve on Molokai overlooks these sea cliffs and is home to endangered birds and over 200 Hawaiian plants that grow only in this preserve.

Molokai South side is where you will find our main town, Kaunakakai, art shops, two full service grocery markets, a health food store, a bakery, and a fine wine and cheese shop. You'll also find some shopping in the villages of Kualapu'u and Maunaloa.

I fell in love with unit I-3 the minute I walked in. A few months later, it came on the market and I snatched it up! Of all the Hawaiian islands, Moloka'i is my favorite. I currently live on Maui's sunny south side, Kihei, and plan to visit Paniolo Hale on Moloka'i frequently (between guests). I hope you will enjoy I-3 and make it your home away from home too.

I love the outdoors and staying busy walking, beach combing, stand up paddling, hiking, enjoying music, art, photography and travel. I am a Broker / Realtor on Maui (Makena Wailea Real Estate Inc., RB-20801), as well as a personal assistant and accountant.

Loved it!

Best condos on the island. One of the few units in this low density condo complex with direct ocean view. Ocean can be seen less than 200 yards away. But be warned, Molokai is not for everyone. Do not expect to find 4+ star accommodations or a fancy restaurants; they don't exist on Molokai. You will find an abundance of peace and quiet.

We had a wonderful two week stay at this comfortable condo. We enjoyed our time on the beautiful lanai, watching the surf and enjoying the sunsets. We spent many hours walking the nearby beaches.

Car: necessary

Paniolo Hale Resort is considered the premier condominium resort on the island of Molokai, and not without good reason. Known as 'the shadiest palce on west Molokai', the beautifully landscaped grounds are shaded by a canopy of several age old Hawaiian trees. The paniolo hale (translates as cowboy house), style makes optimum use of panoramic lanai views and open air floor plan.Our unit has a wide screened-in lanai that offers a wonderful ocean view. Kepuhi beach is a 2 minute walk from your door. Available for guests at Paniolo Hale are a beautifully tiled swimming pool,and an outdoor twin gas barbeque area.The pool is inlaid with thousands of ocean blue colored tiles , and include tile designs of dolphins, sea turtles and tropical fish. The barbeque area has two stainless steel gas grills set in a stone foundation and includes picnic tables. A great place to meet some of the guests, folks can be found here at all hours of the evening putting the final touches on their day's catch or showcasing their favorite BBQ recipe. The west side of Molokai is paradise.If you like to walk/ swim or just enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean you'll be at home.
