Villa dei Pini offers you a spacious self-contained, elegant apartment (about 2798 ft) in a beautiful private house between Florence and Pisa. Really cool apartment. Villa dei Pini is in Castel del Bosco, a quiet village, but very convenient to main route, is 25 km away. Pisa-airport, & 30 Km from Florence Airport, the accommodation is perfect for visiting the beauties of Tuscany; offers homely comforts, the peacefulness and tranquility of the country, and at the same time it is located a short drive from the most interesting Tuscan towns: Pisa, Lucca, Volterra, S. Miniato, S. Gimignano, Montalcino, Florence, Calci reached in very short time. Sandy and rock beaches are just 35 minutes away:
Tirrenia, Viareggio, Marina di Pisa. Montelupo, the cradle of Tuscan pottery with its famous pottery museum, in a short drive, the same for the renowned thermal resorts of Casciana Terme, Montecatini Terme, Monsummano Terme, Uliveto Terme. Restaurants, pizzerias & shopping centers within easy reach
It is located in a private, cozy neighborhood between Florence / Pisa, close to all the artistic delights of the city, and the beaches of the Tuscan coast.
The accommodation consists of a cozy living room and dining room with a fully equipped kitchen, with microwave and dishwasher, electric boiler. Two spacious bedrooms, with king-size bed, all with antique furniture. There are two full bathrooms, the larger having an ample tub. Private balcony, perfect for outdoor dining and relaxing with a good Tuscany wine.
The house, ONE LEVEL, has a private electric gate along with an ample, security parking and a lovely garden. (You are the only guest !!)
You will enjoy the confortable garden with long-cher, sun-bed for your relaxing under the Tuscany sun.
You have at your disposal an ADSL wireless internet connection.
We offer all linens on site, however, there is a small charge for linen laundry service. You have at your disposal a private washing machine for all your self-service washing needs.
Unfortunately, my property HAS NO private swimming pool.
In Casa dei Pini you will find everything you might need. Furthermore, I will prepare a brochure outlining all of the different day trips you might enjoy during your stay in our little corner of Tuscany.
I will send you step by step directions as to how to arrive at Castel del Bosco (Montopoli), whether it be from Pisa or Florence and the indication for the Supermarket (5 minutes easy driving from the house !!)

Perfection in Tuscany!

The Villa Dei Pini is nestled on a quite street surrounded by beautiful gardens. Our mornings were spent having coffee, listening to the birds, and enjoying the lush gardens from our balcony. Our days and early evenings were spent exploring the region. And having this beautiful home to come back to after a long day of exploring was bliss. Vivetta and Marco were warm, welcoming, and filled with great tips about the region! And having laundry facilities available, was a huge help! I can't wait until my next visit!

Lovely stay at Casa dei Pini

We had a lovely week! The apartment is spacious and very well equipped (including fans). Top standard and we loved the grand furniture and abundant pieces of art on the walls. There is a private balcony and we enjoyed relaxing there and in the nice gardens. Even more, we felt really welcome by our lovely hosts, Vivetta and Marco. Vivetta even provided a meal for us upon arrival and later we enjoyed her home made tuscan cake🥰. Castel del Bosco is close to many great destinations, e.g. you can easily drive to Lucca, Montopoli, Firenze or Pisa. Thank you for a lovely stay, Vivetta and Marco!

More than expected!

Outstanding villa. If you're travelling through Italy by car and looking for a place under the Tuscan sky. This is the place to stay. Very convenient for travelling to Florence, Pisa, Lucca, San Gimigniano, etc, not to mention the stunning Tuscan countryside. For a change of pace we took the train to Florence but drove everywhere else. The in-car GPS never let us down. A heartfelt thank you to both Vivetta and Marco for their warm welcome and to Vivetta for her many surprises of delicious Tuscan fare. A most memorable and unforgettable holiday. Great staging area for exploration of northwest Tuscany.

The accommodations were clean, spacious and as advertised. Hosts Vivetta and Marco were charming, helpful and responsive. They have lived here for decades and know the area. The hosts can provide restaurant suggestions. Everything was in good condition and works. We were a party of 4 adults, and had lots of room, both private and group. The kitchen is small but well equipped. We visited Cinque Terre by taking the train (from Pontedere-Casciani station) to La Spezia. We also took the train into Florence on 2 separate days. We also drove to Lucca, Pisa, Volterra, San Miniato, and Vinci. To stay here you need to have a car.

A marvellous stay at Villa dei Pini

At the arrival we were welcomed very warmly by the lovely and warm hosts : Vivetta and Marco. The house is big and very well equiped. It has its own style with lots of paintings and furniture. The garden around the house is large. Vivetta and Marco are very hospital, nice and warm persons . Several times they surprised us with food from their garden or from the region: e.g. tuscan cake. From Villa dei Pini you can make a lot of nice trips to e.g. : Lucca, Pisa, San Gimignano, the beach. In Pontedera you can do your shoppings or go to the market on Fridays. We had a wonderful time and Vivetta and Marco are the best hosts we met until now. Mille grazie per tutti!

Wir haben hier einen wundervollen Familienurlaub in der Toskana verbracht. Die Lage des Wohnung ist sehr gut, da viele Orte und Sehenswürdigkeiten (Florenz, Pisa, Lucca, Siena,....) einfach zu erreichen sind. Auch die Nähe zum Meer war hervorragend. Die Wohnung ist sehr großzügig, bestens ausgestattet und bietet ein tolles Flair. Die Gastgeber Vivetta und Marco sind wundervoll! Schon die Begrüßung war sehr beeindruckend für uns. The best place to visit Toscana

Grazie mille Vivetta e Marco ! We had wonderful holidays thanks to you. The house is really big and beautiful (typicall tuscan) and is ideally placed to visit the best spots of Tuscany like Pisa, Firenze, Sienna. But the best is not the house, it's Vivetta e Marco. They are really warm hosts. During the week we had the chance to discuss with them and they gave us a lot of typicall tuscan dishes.

It was an awesome experience

First of all, when you go there, you need a car for this destination. I can only say that my family and I are still amazed from our vacation we had at the location. First we reached the location and were impressed by this beautiful tuscany villa. The owners Vivetta and Marco went far beyond the standard service. First they showed us after an extremely warm and friendly welcome the beautiful and extreme clean 200 squaremeters and the beautiful interior of the accomodation, combined with local specialties like wine, cheese and olives. Everything was perfectly prepared, e.g. lists of local tourist attractions, good restaurants, supermarkets, train station etc. Furthermore I want to highlight that Vivetta and Marco went an extramile for me. As I liked to listen music from my cell phone from the awesome balcony while I enjoyed my cappuccino in the morning and my beer in the evening, I asked for an extension cable for my non-italian connectors, thus I could listen my music on the balcony. On top of that Vivetta provided once cake and once her extreme delicious pasta, just as an voluntary gift for us. Within a couple of hours Vivetta organized that for me, wow what a service. If you have family or ifbyou are travelling with 4-5 persons to explore tuscany with your car, I can absolutely recommend this place.

Le logement est très spacieux et très bien équipé. Nous étions 4, moi avec mes trois enfants, et nous étions très largement à l'aise. On dit que l'espace est un luxe, et c'est le cas ici. Par ailleurs, la décoration du logement est magnifique, une vraie maison toscane, avec des tableaux d'époque, avec des céramiques partout, un mobilier d'excellente qualité, etc. Une vraie beauté. Et du point de vue fonctionnel, rien à redire. Tout y est et s'il vous manque quelque chose, vous demandez à Vivetta et Marco, et ils vous le fournissent. D'ailleurs les hôtes ont été parfaits, toujours aux petits soins avec nous. Ils nous ont reçu avec un apéritif, nous ont préparé un gâteau, cherchaient à nous donner toutes les informations qu'on voulait, etc, etc. Ils sont adorables. Pour résumer, un excellent lieu de séjour, que je vous recommande vraiment.

Perfect location to visit Tuscany

The house is located in a small village which is very close to the Fi-Pi-Li, a highway connecting the cities of Florence, Pisa and Livorno. This makes is very easy to see all the most important cities within a 60 minutes drive from your apartment (Pisa 30 min, Siena 60min). There are several supermarkets, we've chosen "coop" in Santa Maria a monte, which is a five minutes car drive and offers everything you need. There is a little bakery and shop in the town as well. The apartment is in a quiet road and the owners, Vivetta and Marco, have done everything to make you feel at home far away. It is very clean and spacious, offers a lot of additional things such as a washing machine, a dishwasher, few fans to avoid heat in your rooms, enough towels, an ironing board in a separate room in your apartment, 2 bathrooms (one with a tub, the other one with a shower), a room to store your suitcases, enough tableware and glasses, cups, bowls, etc. We enjoyed cooking there and there was also a baking oven. The garden is well-kept and clean. Our children loved to go out in the morning and see what the turtles do. The rooms and the whole apartment are filled with a lot of beautiful things such as paintings or nice furniture that make you feel home. There is no pool but I have to admit, we didn't miss it even though we were traveling with two kids. I think it is a perfect apartment when you travel a lot around Tuscany but you want to feel home and relaxed when you come "home" to Castel del Bosco. There are several pools you can go to, we recommend "le barbate" in Montopoli, which is a three minutes drive (same direction as the supermarket). You pay 22 Euros (in August) for a family for the whole day. The way to the sea isn't very far (30 minutes) so we enjoyed the sea a few times as well (Marina di Pisa, Tirrenia, ...). We would definitely recommend this apartment to our friends and family (we already did) and would also like to come again one day. Vivetta and Marco are very friendly and helpful. Vivetta sent us a list of sights with information about the driving distance and several other information. That was really helpful to plan the visit. There are a lot of travel guide book in the apartment and Vivetta has collected a lot of information you can use. We loved the Tuscan cake she baked for us and absolutely enjoyed the meal she cooked for us after coming home from a long day at the sea. Thanks again, Vivetta and Marco!

Fabulous Villa

Wow. Fabulous Villa. From the second we arrived, Vivetta and Marco the owners were wonderful. A beautiful welcome, the villa was exceptional. Large rooms and spotlessly clean. Lots of information for anyone looking to tour around the beautiful Tuscany countryside and very convenient for travelling to Florence, Pisa and Lucca, not to mention numerous stunning Tuscan villages. Both our daughters joined us, aged 15 and 21 , the villa was spacious enough to give all 4 of us space and comfort. A massive thank you to both Vivetta and Marco who made our holiday special, cooking us delicious Italian pasta, cake and bread. We would definitely love to visit again in the future. Excellent Location, Hosts and Place to Stay in Tuscany

The Villa D ei Pini was perfect for our family of 4 to stay as we explored Tuscany for the first time. It was spacious, clean and in a great location to easily get to the key sightseeing locations. Vivetta and Marco, were great hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent at the Villa - they gave good recommendations on local restaurants and places to visit. Great Tuscany Location

Your first thought coming in this villa is how clean it is and how warm and inviting Marco and Vivetta make you feel. They love people, that was evident from the beginning. We stayed two weeks and used the house as base to visit and explore Tuscany. We went as far south as Cortona and Northwest to Cinque Terre. We visited 21 other cities, well off the beaten path. Marco and Vivetta was well organized for and helped us navigate different cities with things to do and had directions for local restaurants, shopping, food etc. In the little town of Castel Del Bosco is a great little bakery that was fun to go to several mornings during our stay. Great selections of local sweets for the a morning taste of Tuscany with a fresh cup of coffee. Delicious treats. A car is needed for this location. It sits about half way between Florence and Pisa. We stayed here with another couple and there was more then ample place for the four of us. You hear local church bells and the church was in walking distance of this Villa, attending church was a nice experience as well. Vivetta made several meals for us which was a great meal of home cooked Tuscan fare. She knows how to cook your taste bud will explode. Sampling the local wines was fun too. All sorts of different vineyards offer their best for our taste buds. It was a great Italian vacation and without hesitation would come back to this Villa again. If you're thinking of renting this Villa, you are making the right choice for many reasons.

More than expected

How would you like to spend time in Tuscany at a place that has picture book scenery, an ideal location, spacious and spotless accommodation with all the amenities of home, plus generous hospitality. Villa dei Pini has it all. In mid September my wife and I along with another couple spent ten nights enjoying the experience. Scenery - The setting is quiet and relaxing. Villa dei Pini is located on a ridge where there a peaceful view of the country side that can be enjoyed while sitting on the balcony having coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. Location - Villa dei Pini is located just off the highway between Pisa and Florence (FiPiSi) and has easy access to shopping, grocery stores and restaurants. The easiest way to get there is to either fly or take the train into Pisa and then rent a car. Once you are settled in and want to visit places like Florence, Siena and Cinque Terra it is advisable to take the short drive into Pontedera and then take the train because of parking difficulties in the larger centers. The villa is centrally located and is close to many famous attractions that are possible to enjoy by making day trips. Spacious and spotless accommodation - The villa is spotless and very well maintained. It has two large bedrooms and two washrooms separated from the rest of the living area so privacy is possible for two couples. Use of the laundry room and separate ironing room gave us flexibility in catching up from our previous travels and preparing for the next leg of our trip. The kitchen and eating area were large, comfortable and contained all the necessary amenities to make eating in enjoyable. Generous Hospitality - Vivetta and Marco were very gracious hosts and sincerely made us feel welcome into their home. They provided answers to all our questions and gave us helpful suggestions on how to get the most out of exploring the area. On two separate occasions Vivetta and Marco gave us a mini tour around Castel del Bosco to show us different things that we asked about. The night that Vivetta prepared a pasta dinner for us was both a culinary and cultural experience. It was more than food, it was the presentation and the camaraderie that goes with it. We arrived as guests but left feeling like we were close friends.

Villa is a great location in Tuscany and the owners will see to all your needs

We stayed at Villa Dei Pini for ten days in September 2013. We shared this very large, sparkling clean Villa with another couple. Don’t worry about having your own space here. The bedrooms are very large, each with their own sitting area and lots of closet space. The living and dining rooms were hardly ever used as we mostly gathered in the kitchen/dining area. There is also a laundry room and ironing room. Situated between Florence and Pisa, the Villa affords easy access to the FI/PI/LI, so it is easy to do day trips to many places. We rented a car and used it for all of our trips except for the trip to Florence. For that trip we took the train. The Villa has everything you will need and if it’s not there just ask Vivette or Marco. They live upstairs and rent out the downstairs. The moment we met the owners, we felt so welcomed. They gave us a tour of the villa, explaining some things, like how to use the wash machine. On the table, they had left us a bottle of red and white wine and some snacks and in the fridge there was a bottle of water and some juices. Here, each of you will receive a whole set of towels, which is not typical in Italy. Part way through our stay, we received fresh sheets and towels. Certainly we will have memories of this fabulous accommodation, but it is the warmth of this wonderful family that will live in your heart forever. Vivette drove us around the area, showing us where the grocery store was, where to park the car when we took the train to Florence and then took us to Fattoria S. Lucia Ristoro Borgo alla Cantina, a restaurant and winery, where she introduced us to the owners. This is a place you do not want to miss for it was here that we would enjoy the best meal of our month long stay in Italy. Vivette, even cooked for us one night, making 2 different pasta dishes. Vivette and Marco speak and understand English. Wish we could say the same about our Italian. A stay here is a must for it is here that you will experience the Heart and Soul of Italy. Molto amare

Wonderful property in Tuscany

My husband and I stayed with another oouple in Villa dei Pini for 8 days. The property was so beautiful. We sat out on the balcony every morning with coffee and every evening with a glass of vino and enjoyed the view and talked about the day. The villa was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We were able to do our laundry, cook our meals and relax after long days of sight seeing. The villa is centrally located with grocery stores, restaurants, train station and bus stops nearby. We had a car (which is a MUST) and drove to Lucca, Voltera and around Pontedera. We took the train to Florence, Cinque Terra and a bus to Pisa. We had the most wonderful time; the weather was perfect. Vivettta and Marco were so sweet and helpful in planning our day trips. I would highly recommend this property for a wonderful stay in Tuscany.

A True Delight

We cannot say enough about the villa and Vivetta and Marco. They truly are super hosts. Not only are they good people, but Vivetta is also a fantastic cook. We enjoyed some of her fantastic Tuscan food and her delicious sauces. The villa is absolutely clean and spotless. It is very safe and is gated. We found this place to be very convenient and central to a lot of day trips. Florence 35mins, Pisa 20 mins, Lucca 25 mins, Siena 1 hr 15 min.The beach near Livorno is also very close.You will definitely need a car when staying here. Vivetta and Marco were very helpful with directions and advice about the places to visit or to avoid. They have a lot of maps and pamphlets about tourist places of interest, which we found very helpful. Vivetta and Marco thank you very much for your kind and warm welcome and outstanding hospitality. If you a looking for a place to stay while in Tusacny, in a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood, friendly hosts and awesome Tuscan food, then this is the place.

April Tuscany visit

Absolutely wonderful. The property was better than described and the owners generosity and friendliness were exceptional. We received directions for travel, eating, and sightseeing every day and the advice was perfect. I would recommend the Villa Dei Pini to all my friends, associates, Presidents and Kings and Queens of the World. We just had a lasting memorable experience that will stay with us forever.

Beautiful, spacious country villa

The on-line listing is understated compared to the actual property which very clean and extremely well maintained. To our friends we have described the house as a mansion and it is so spacious we felt “lost” at first. There are French doors in the halls between the bedroom spaces and living, so if you have early risers, they do not have to disturb the others. Villa is beautifully furnished in rich woods. We especially enjoyed the view from the balcony where we took morning coffee and evening wine. All amenities were available, including a generous assortment of electrical adaptors. Vivetta and Marco are very warm, welcoming and generous. We were treated to home-cooking (Vivetta made us the most amazing Bolognese sauce) and we were greeted with an amazing Chianti. Admittedly we needed their help with making reservations at local restaurants as we did not have much luck on our own. The villa is so pleasant, you might want to spend all your time there, but it is in a small community so a car is needed if you plan to see the sights. There is a train station only 15 minutes away. We preferred to travel to places such as Pisa and Florence that way. We have and will continue to recommend this place to family and friends.
