Retro in a cool way with everything you need!

  • 5 of 5

The home is very open and bright, tons of windows to take in the sea air. It’s really cool to have such close access to a tiny secluded private beach. I judge a rental by cleanliness and location and this place met and exceeded both!

Quiet retreat for leaving the city life behind

  • 4 of 5

This property is a gem with it's mid-century house situated on a large fenced in yard. The surrounding area has a subtropical feel with it's lush plants and trees. The ocean is not visible from the house, but there is beach access nearby. The steps down the cliff are challenging but the beach is virtually your own once you land. Watch for the tide charts since high tide engulfs the beach.

The feel of the house has a special dynamic with vaulted ceilings, two gas fireplaces, and lots of sunshine. The Wifi works great and the cable TV is simple and easy to figure out, unlike other rental homes that i've experienced. The house is well equipped with cooking and barbeque items.

The negatives: The side yards have areas that could be better for other uses instead of dirt patches. The backyard is grass which would be nice for setting up badminton or other lawn games, but not provided. No pool or hot tub, but I knew that going in. Tuesday is garbage pick up day and it seemed that each of the 15 or so houses on Dorwin lane used different companies because the truck noises seemed to go on half the day.

All in all, It was a good value and would return.

Private. Retro. Perfection.

  • 5 of 5

Just simply an amazing property.

Spent hours on beach without seeing anyone.

Want an orange with breakfast?

Just go pick one in the yard.

The house is a time machine with quality furniture and bedding.

Close to highway and shopping.

But secluded in an amazing neighbourhood.

Beautiful Vacation Home

  • 5 of 5

Lovely, well-maintained home between UCSB and downtown. Beautiful location across the street from the ocean. Steps to get to beach are quite steep at the top, but my kids went down with no problems. House has everything you would need, BBQ, dishes, linens, towels, beach chairs, etc. Tiffany, property manager, is very responsive. House is a little older w/o air conditioning, but the proximity to the ocean keeps it relatively cool. Big backyard for sunning too.

Nice roomy house close to the beach

  • 4 of 5

The house was nice and spacious and the yard is big with a nice patio. We would leave the doors open and let the ocean breeze blow through. The beach is close, but a long steep stairway to get to it. The beach is somewhat rocky, but very secluded, so great for quiet morning walks with a cup of coffee. The house is not far from the bike trail.
