"Locanda Fiori di Zagara" is a historical residence dating from the 1700s in the heart of Diso, an enchanting village in Salento just 3 km from the sea. Despite its compact size, Diso offers supermarkets, bars, pharmacies and some traditional restaurants, making your stay both comfortable and pleasant.
The WP Relais residence has been carefully restored to preserve the original colours, materials and design of the historical residence. This meticulous remodelling has brought back the charm of the past while integrating it with the highest level of comfort. Immersed in the peace and tranquillity of the historical centre, the property borders the countryside, offering a perfect setting for a holiday that combines privacy and nature.
The elegant furnishings lend a touch of modern sophistication, blending harmoniously with the Art Deco frescoes and original tiles from the early 20th century. The WP Relais villa has seven double bedrooms, a reading room with a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, a large dining room, two lounges and a beautiful swimming pool in Lecce stone, set in a private garden of orange and lemon trees.
The rooms each have a unique identity and evoke the magical atmosphere of a historical house in every detail, from the furnishings to the accessories. Each room, characterised by evocative names such as "Profumo" (Perfume), "Marea" (Tide), "Vento" (Wind), "Nuvole" (Clouds), "Luna" (Moon), "Venere" (Venus) and "Spazio" (Space), is equipped with a private bathroom, flat screen TV and air conditioning.
The entire WP Relais villa is for the exclusive use of guests: from the garden with swimming pool to the veranda, from the orange grove to the two internal courtyards. The beds were nice and the sheets were clean. The home is large and could easily accommodate more than our group of 8 adults. Everything was as communicated on Vrbo and was well appointed with the exception of a dirty pool and the stove was sometimes a challenge for us.. All in all, our stay was very enjoyable. Diso is a lovely little town and the house was only a minute walking distance to all amenities.

Wonderful and memorable stay

Excellent location, clean, beautiful design.we stayed with a bigger group but the house was so spacious no one felt on top of each other. Rooms and washroom were specious for south of Italy. The house was stunning every detail of it. The town also had great restaurant, coffee shops, market.we travelled to beaches all around everyday but location was central so easy for us. I’d book this property again

As Good as Everyone Says

We just spent a lovely two weeks at the Villa in Diso. We can endorse what all the other reviewers have said about the size of the house, the privacy of the bedrooms, the common areas and the pool. In addition to these important features there were a few small touches we really appreciated and which are not often found in other rentals. We can't say enough about how helpful the owner Gaia was in arranging activities, offering advice and coordinating with local providers. Super responsive as well. Each bedroom has a separate slip air conditioning unit which works very well, very important in summer (although the evenings were pleasant even in August). Also there were screens on the bedroom windows. This is not common in Italy but is really helpful if you want to open the windows and keep out mosquitoes. The Wi-Fi is very strong and fast and reaches everywhere around the property. We had 9 adults and one child all on their devices at the same time with perfect function. Finally, there is no need for the guests to worry about trash management. There are well marked recycling bins behind the kitchen and the house managers take care of taking it away for you. We've rented houses for a number of years in Italy and other places. This one goes above and beyond.

Fabulous house, fabulous location, fabulous hosts. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Easy rental and check in process. Great communication with hosts who were welcoming and helpful. House itself is a gem. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Stay

This house and location is incredible. Our group of 13 was incredibly comfortable and everything was more beautiful than the pictures even show. We were a short drive from beautiful town and swimming spots and the fact that we could walk to town for coffee, groceries, pizza was an added bonus. The owners were super responsive and lovely. I would go back in heartbeat.

Perfect Week in Apulia

We spent a wonderful week in this house and enjoyed especially the terrace and the pool a lot. The place perfectly combines wonderful old South-Italian design with modern comfort (air-conditioning, great bathrooms/showers) and offers a lot of space for privacy. It is well located to visit some amazing spots in Apulia. The owner was very responsive and Lucia, the housekeeper, was extremely nice and helpful.

Perfect place!

This house is truly amazing. It’s big, clean, the backyard is beautiful… It has a main bulding with 4 rooms inside, plus there’s 3 other rooms with their own exit in the private alley of the propriety. It’s perfect for large groups who wants to have some privacy. Diso, the little village, is also just perfect if you want to feel the « True Italian vibe ». We went every morning to the Portici restaurant to grab our croissants, cafe and orange juice; it’s truly a gem! Salvatore, the guy working there, helped us a lot with different advices. And Lucia, the lady taking care of the house, was really nice with us, while Gaia was always available to answer our questions. Really, you can’t go wrong with this place!! We already want to come back 🙂

Paradise in Diso ❤️

The house is absolutely stunning and the amenities are second to none. Diso has all the charm of a little village but also has fantastic dining and drinks options that are open all hours of the day and night. Our host Pietro was a great communicator and Lucia, who met us at the impossible hour of 11 pm after a flight cancellation, was absolutely fabulous. Holidays don't get better than this. Thanks :) PS - 200 m away at the main square is Portico, which is open 24 hours a day. Say hello to Salvatore, the owner. A wonderfully generous person who will guarantee you have a fantastic Diso adventure.

Superbe séjour

Excellent séjour dans cette merveilleuse villa, très bien située pour visiter la région et pour se reposer dans un cadre exceptionnel. L’accueil est chaleureux et parfait. Les propriétaires sont très réactifs et donnent d’excellentes adresses. A refaire absolument.

Fantastic group holiday

Just came back from three wonderful nights at the Locanda. We were on a corporate trip and every colleague loved this place. Truly a hidden gem. It's not that easy to find houses with so many bedrooms but in this case we had the villa all by ourselves plus two private apartments in the adjacent building. Just what we needed: privacy, but also great communal spaces so we could spend time together. The whole locanda is gorgeous and beautifully decorated and every room comes with its own bathroom (some of them are spectacular!). Fully equipped kitchen, a gorgeous pool and lots of outside spaces. Diso is a super small town but you'll find everything you need within minutes by car. Also, you're in the middle of the beautiful Salento region so make sure to explore the area and all of its beaches. Super easy communication with Gaia and Pietro. Also a huge thank you to the lovely Lucia who greeted us on our arrival. Very recommended! Would come back for sure!

We had amazing springtime in Salento!

We had the most beautiful stay here! The pool is amazing and the property is very spacious with a few units to stay in it was nice we all had our own area.A car is definitely recommended to get around, It is in a great location which allowed us to visit a lots of nearby towns which were also amazing. Wall had a fantastic time and can’t wait to visit again! 100% would recommend this property for your next stay in Puglia!!!

Magical place

This place was absolutely magical. The villa was large and each room was well appointed. It had a ton of plates and glassware. We hired a private chef for one evening and they were able to use the kitchen with no problem. The rooms were very detailed and comfortable with beautiful art throughout the place. The garden and the pool were phenomenal. It is centrally located to many little towns and in Apulia and very close to some amazing spots.I would definitely stay at this place again. The host was very communicative and everything was very easy.

Stunning mansion in the best location of Salento

The house is located in a small village that is really welcoming and with some little shops (grocery, pizza, bar, bakery,...) close by. The sea is also very close. The house is superb with very nice bedrooms (some bigger than others) and very nice living and dining area. The kitchen has some professional equipment (huge fridge). The garden is very pleasant and the swimming pool is just perfect. The host has some great local people available for different services (a warm thanks to Lucia for the cleaning and Antonella and her husband for the cooking), do not hesitate a second to ask for them. Gaia is easily reachable in case of problems and she immediately tried to solve the issue as soon as possible. She also provides good tips for restaurants and is an open and friendly person.

Amazing house for group vacations

We had the most amazing stay at Locanda Fiore di Zagara in Diso. The house was even bigger, better and cleaner than we had expected after looking at the pictures. Gaia was very helpful and as always (second time we rent a house from Gaia) quick in responding to e-mails. The small sleepy town of Diso is very cute and the people are very friendly. The house is perfect for groups of friends as you'll get your privacy (all rooms have their own bathrooms) and then there are great common areas too where everyone can hang out together. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare a feast. The only thing we didn't find in the house that we could wish for was a grill - so I e-mailed Gaia to ask if there was one. A few hours later they had bought one and put by the pool!!! We also appreciated the fact that Gaia was so flexible with both check-in and check-out. Can definitely recommend this house! Can't come to think of anything that's not to like.

heavenly place

We had a fantastic stay in Gaia's villa. The pictures don't do it justice! The garden area along with the villa itself were perfect, situated amongst a lovely setting. The villa was decorated to a high standard , which was great and very much appreciated. Communication with Gaia was very quick and helpful, making the trip very easy and stress free! We couldn't fault it and would highly recommend this stunning mansion to anyone.

Un soggiorno perfetto in una struttura fantastica

Abbiamo soggiornato 7 giorni in questa struttura nel mese di settembre, trovando assoluta corrispondenza con la descrizione.Una struttura di assoluto relax, a due passi dal mare, arredata con cura ed eleganza, dove poter trascorrere qualche ora di tranquillità di ritorno dal mare/spiaggie. Dispone di di uno stabilimento, a pochi minuti di macchina, convenzionato con la struttura di cui porta lo stesso nome. Comodi lettini e ombrelloni, un bar/ristorante impeccabile e una piattaforma in legno che accompagna il bagnante nelle splendide acque del Salento. Dulcis in fundo la gentilezza la disponibilità e la discrezione di Gaia,Alessandro e Caterina, i gestori della locanda, che ringraziamo ancora una volta per la loro professionalità. Esperienza da non perdere!!!

posto incantevole e curato nei minimi particolari.

Un luogo incantevole dove rilassarsi e godersi delle splendide gite in quella che ritengo una delle più belle aree del Salentoe.Ogni stanza è dotata del proprio bagno e l'area comune (cucina e tavolo da pranzo) sono perfetti!!! Credo che andarci in primavera/estate sia ancora meglio, visto l'ampio giardino e la stupenda piscina.

Bellissima ed elegante dimora

La casa di Gaia é semplicemente fantastica, ancora più bella che dalle foto,dalle quali non si può capire la reale bellezza delle volte e delle docarazioni murali Liberty.Lo spazio esterno è meraviglioso,abbiamo avuto la fortuna di trovare un clima primaverile e di goderci un soggiorno di famiglia spettacolare Gaia ha risposto a tutte le nostre domande prima del nostro arrivo dimostrandosi più che disponibile ad assecondare le nostre richieste. Ad accoglierci c'era Alessandro, una persona molto gentile, accogliente e puntuale. Consiglio a chiunque di soggiornare in questo piccolo paradiso. Grazie mille Gaia!

Sublime dimora

Incuriositi e affascinati dalle belle parole dei giornali di settore, ci siamo regalati 5 giorni in questa incantevole dimora. Collocata nel versante orientale del Salento,a Diso,un delizioso paese a due passi dal mare,sorge in tutta la sua abbagliante raffinatezza la Locanda Fiore di Zagara. Si tratta di un'antica dimora restaurata con immenso gusto,dove l'antica bellezza coesiste con la più alta funzionalità moderna,sono stati infatti impiegati materiali della tradizione pugliese assieme a elementi di design contemporaneo, tutto nel pieno rispetto della semplicità che caratterizza questa terra.
