wonderful experience

  • 5 of 5

It was great for and extended family get together.

Very comfortable, and well appointed.

Only to problems: lots of mice (killed 16 in the garage.

may be related to the fact that the garbage was not emptied in the garage

from previous renters.

But it worked well for us. Thanks!

A beautiful place to relax

  • 4 of 5

We spent the week at The Point with two other couples. We have been friends for about 30 years. This home and property was the perfect spot for us to meet, catch up, have fun, and relax. We spent every morning on the back deck with our tea or coffee just visiting and enjoying the peaceful view as each of us woke up. This is where we planned our excursions for the day or later in the week. The location (only about 3 miles from town) was also perfect for going into town for boat rides or dinners, or just enjoying the town and culture of the Upper Pennisula. We all recommend this place with our reservation.

Unique Property with Beautiful Views

  • 4 of 5

We liked staying at the Point for our family reunion in July. The property is very large and very private. Loved exploring the caves on the property. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of pillows, towels, etc. The problems we experienced were dealt with promptly by Maria, the property manager. Plenty of room in the bedrooms for the 2 pack-n-plays we brought for our toddlers. This property is not set up for little ones. If you book it, you need to bring baby gates, booster seats, etc.

Things that would make this beautiful property even better:

LAWN CHAIRS-there are some benches partially around the fireplace circle, but additional lawn chairs would have been nice. We tried to bring some, but we were packed to the gills with baby stuff...

A BETTER LIST OF WHAT IS THERE-supplies at the house included: ample toilet paper, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry soap and trash bags. Bring your own baggies, foil, Saran Wrap, Kleenex and hand soap.

MORE SPACE FOR FOOD IN THE KITCHEN-I realize that many people don't cook much while on vacation, but the convenience of being in a house is to be able to prepare some meals. There were plenty of dishes, flatware, etc, but no cupboard space and only a tiny bit of shelf space for storing the food we brought.

LITTLE COTTAGE-our group was large so we rented the optional little cottage on the property. There is an open stairway to a loft bedroom with no handrail which seemed scary to me. In my opinion, it was not worth $100/night.

We had a great time and it was a good space for a large group.

Perfect Location but amenities can be improved

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at the place for 2 nights on May end 2017. Its a perfect location. We enjoyed the stay except few issues like no door locks on bedrooms / bathrooms, kitchen sink etc. Team fixed sink issues upon request but door locks was pain. Property was clean and has all basic amenities. We are thinking of staying there again in Fall.
