The house is situated close to everything you wish for: nice little bars and restaurants, lovely museums, the cinema, and the beach within cycling distance. Also for a stroll through the historic city center of The Hague our Canal House is the perfect starting point. There is a lot to do, but the canal nevertheless offers a serene tranquility.
Ground floor: when entering the house you will find yourself in a spacious modern kitchen adjacent to an open dining area with a large and cozy dining table (6-8p). From the dining area you walk through a passage, with patio, with the bedroom to the left, the bathroom (shower, toilet) to the right and the living room at the back. In addition, you will find a nice fire place in the living room.
First floor: you will find a large bedroom 'en-suite' offering two bedrooms with connecting doors. Each bedroom is equipped with a double bed. 2nd toilet in the hall way.
You will be staying in the city center, in an area with a rich history. Many of the canal houses were built in the Golden Age. Several famous painters such as Paulus Potter, Jan Steen and Jan van Goyen have lived at the canal. As well as the renowned philosopher Spinoza.
All major shops, department stores (Bijenkorf), upmarket shopping, trendy restaurants and bars (Noordeinde, Prinsestraat, Grote Markt, Plein, Denneweg) are within walking distance. The nearby Palace Gardens provide tranquil strolls and summer picnics while children have fun at the playground. Moreover, easy public transport access just on your front door takes you to central station and other business hubs in minutes. With both the current and historic government buildings, museums (Binnenhof, Mauritshuis, Peace Palace), this apartment truly caters for everyone.
