Guestbook comments from the manager

We’ve enjoyed the beauty and hospitality of Kauai. We’ve watched many sunrises from the lanai with a cup of coffee in hand, hiked Sleeping Giant, went ziplining with Kauai backcountry, attended Smith’s luau, and finished the week with snorkeling at Poipu Beach. We loved it all and would highly recommend all of the above. We also really enjoyed staying here. It feels like a home away from home. (Twin Cities, MN)

Best view!

  • 5 of 5

This cute condo has a spectacular view from the living room couch! It is quiet and has access to a lovely pool and hot tub. The condo is a little dated, but very clean and has everything you need, and plenty of space!

Nice but problems.

  • 4 of 5

The unit was fine except the bed in master needs replacing as it is too soft.

The confusion with the hotel caused us to not be ablevtovusecthevhitel. We were told by the hotel staff on the phone prior to our stay and the day we arrived that we could only use the restaurants. We were told by a condo staff person that we could not use the hotel the day we checked in. We were told by a condo staff person that we could use the hotel but this was on our last day staying .

The location and view were nice. The rental agent went above and beyond to help.

Quiet and spacious

  • 4 of 5

This condo had everything we needed and was away from the busiest areas. There were extra towels, sheets, blankets, even water shoes in various sizes and a beach umbrella stored in the deck storage. Just bring shampoo/conditioner. We were left a list of times/addresses for local markets and amenities. The carpet does need replacing-it would do well with tile. Of note: the pool that belongs to Kauai beach VILLAs is too small for vacation purposes-like a backyard pool. If you have kids, you will need to spend the $20/day to use the Kauai beach RESORT pool. It is the same distance away and is lovely, includes a hot tub and slide. Also, you will need to spend another $10/day to use the workout room at the resort if you choose. We found that the concierge near the tennis courts were very helpful. My boys loved the small river next door to the condo for trying to catch small fish. Location is great-close to quiet family friendly Lydgate beach and also within 30 min. drive to Po'ipu beach which is busy but snorkelling is great there. We also saw monk seals regularly and a sea turtle on that beach. North Kauai has more annual rainfall, south has the least. This location has slightly more than Po'ipu.

Perfect Family Unit

  • 5 of 5

Our kids loved playing on the lawn in front of the unit. We could see the ocean, but weren't too close for safety. Unit was well stocked with kitchen stuff, snorkeling gear, cooler, playpen, everything we needed. We stayed in the complex with several family members in different units and felt like we got the best one.

Had a spring break week

  • 4 of 5

We were very satisfied with the condo. The photos are outdated as the palm tree is much bigger than the photo and so are the grounds so the view of the ocean isn't as clear as the photo. The condo was very clean and had plenty of room for the five of us (two adults and three kids). The kitchen was fully stocked and appreciate the use of the cooler and all the sand amenities (blankets, chairs, boogie boards, and sand mats). It was great being on the ground floor so we could use the hose in the storage locker to hose off the sand before putting stuff back. I was hoping you could hear the ocean from the rooms so was a little disappointed that they were on the opposite side of the condo. The use of the resort was also great and convenient. It was quite around there and really enjoyed the grassy area outside the condo so our kids could run around and play ball. We even saw whales from the condo... that was very exciting! I would definitely recommend this condo and we plan to come back. You have to eat at Eggberts in Kapa'a; they have they best macadamia nut pancakes ever and have to try with the coconut syrup.

Owner's Response: Dear Kimberly, We are happy that you were "very satisfied with the condo". We feel the management company does an excellent job of cleaning and maintaining our property. We also enjoy the view and walk out to the ocean. We usually vacation their in the winter and expect to see whales or dolphins each morning when we are eating breakfast. You are right it is hard to hear the ocean from the bed rooms. It is fun at night to sit in the front room or kitchen and hear the waves. We agree "Eggberts" does have the best macadamia nut pancakes on the Islands. The picture you are referring to was taken in 2008. We were comparing pictures this past February and couldn't believe how fast that palm tree has grown. We thank you for staying with us and appreciate the comments. We started renting our property in 2007, and as you probably noticed every entry in our registry at the condo has been extremely positive. Many of our reservations now are repeats or referrals. Aloha and mahalo from jim and Jeanette.
During this stay the property was under previous owner or management.
