I contacted the owner prior to arriving at the accommodation as I’d had trouble on the app paying remainder of fee but no response , not great at communication , one message saying how to get into accommodation. Arrived and wow we were both shocked at the state of this place dust everywhere , old dog pee stains all over the carpet, microwave dirty, black mould thick in bedroom blinds, windows filthy, large stains on mattress , big brown blob on the duvet, duvet cover not fastened, just very filthy and smell of damp, with check in so late we had to stay the night so put our blanket over the mattress lay down and there was a watermark on the ceiling too. We left the next day and I sent a very polite message to the owner explaining how the mound had kicked off my asthma so we couldn’t stay, he was fine until I explained how dirty it was , I asked him to fo the right thing and refund our night. He refused and said we shouldn’t have left early and basically turned it round on us . Very disappointing . Will now have to go through Vrbo to redeem money. Bad experience.
